God set up an order and rules in the Church in order for all Christians to live their Christian life steadfastly. Also, God gave each one his or her duty and position and poured down grace to fulfill them. Teachers are those who appointed by God to teach the words of God. (Ephesians 4:11-12) In the verse, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are all in position to teach others. Being tied together with pastors, teachers do have a crucial role. because of that, teachers have lots of responsibility. It is not teacher’s purpose to simly teach students, but help them to grow in God. Of course all teachers are fully aware of one’s duty as a teacher, but it is difficult to carry it out. That’s why teachers suffer. > Salvation …show more content…
Teachers must keep this in their minds. The most important thing is that it is still salvation even though children get saved first then acknowledge the fact that they are sinner later. Because of that it is important for teachers to help students to abide in the church. Q) Is it properiet to emphasize only salvation to children between age six to ten? Learning about salvation and Corner Stone is both important. In Corner Stone, topics of jugment and sin are also included. So, children have a desire to get saved. because of that we need to learn about salvation too. However, what is best is that following the planned lessons from the Corner Stone. While doing it we need to go down to children’s level and teach them in their langauge. Also, teachers must consistently repeat about Bible and God. By helping them draw near to Bible, give them a chance to reflect oneself onto the words of God. As a conclusion, it is best to follow the Corner Stone. Q) Our Youth Group is currently lacking a fellowship. In order to increase the students’ involvement, it is better to have a fun or take more serious …show more content…
And we are the fellow workers, companions of God. >Conclusion “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter jugment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body” (James 3: 1-2) This does not mean that teachers get judged alot so do not become a teacher. The verse is actually indicating that do not be a teacher who only serves with mouth without action. We all have many mistakes in speaking. ‘If anyone does not stumble in word’ means that taking an action complies with spoken words. If a preacher only speaks without showing any action, no listener will be moved or receive an inspiration. This is very true to teachers too. Teachers need to act as they speak. Of course, we have a flesh and cannot be perfect, but we need to strive to be like that. Only then our students will learn from teachers and become a worker of God. It is indeed a huge responsibility but do not be burndensome because it is a holy burden. When a teacher is timid and discouraged, then the power of words also decrease. A teacher must be serious and bold to preach the words of
Christ has given to His church certain people to provide leadership. apostle, prophet, evangelist and pastor-teacher (Ephesians 4:11). These persons are given
I agree that it is necessary for pastors to get a greater education to help them to understand how to deal with life situations. Their Church members will need them to understand what they are dealing with. True knowledge works well for the Pastors in different types of communities
It is the will of God that His children bring into fruition, sustain, and promote successful Christian schools. In order to carry out this mission, it is essentially important that the foundations be laid upon the Eternal Rock, His Word, and His spiritual principles. Only such a foundation guarantees a solid and firm structure which will withstand all present trials and endure all future endeavors and uncertainties. Only upon such a foundation can the Christians rest reassured that God’s authority will be the properly exercised, His knowledge communicated effectively, and His love transmitted with compassion to the pupils. As per Dr. Combee’s words,“God has a plan for victory in education through the truth He has revealed to us about human nature. “ (pg. 174) The sinful human nature does desperately need God and His principles, to both build a strong character and to construct academic stature.
Response: “Alan Potter (2014) wrote that John MacArthur warned us that if we lose the biblical foundation while preaching this will lead to the decline of preaching which will contribute to the weakness and worldliness of the church, so for a church to be spiritual healthy, preaching should return to its proper biblical foundation (https://www.linkedin.com). Paul told Timothy that by preaching the Scripture, man and women could be wise for salvation (2 Tim. 3:15 NKJV). They learn the way of salvation through the Bible which the Holy Spirit taught the preacher to use, they should not use their own words dictated by man’s wisdom (1 Corinth. 2: 13
When these children come to school, they will follow a good leader. They will thrive in a loving environment. For some of these children, we are the only God that they will ever see. By this I mean, we must show the love of God in everything we do, he must be ever present in our daily lives. Some of the children may have never experienced a Christian environment, and they need it more than ever, and it’s our job to provide it for them.
The preacher must want to proclaim the word in order for it to be effective. There must be a fervent burning within, to drive a preacher to be proficient in the craft of preaching. “There is a sense in which the sermon preparation time is an act of worship. It is not simply some technical/skills- oriented exercise separate and apart from the transformation we seek to evoke in others through the power of the Holy Spirit.” In order to reach the depths of the word of God, one must have a desire to dig and prepare. One’s desire should be considered as a matter of life or
I believe that it is not uncommon for a student to think that they know better than the teacher or don’t understand the teacher’s logic on lessons. However, this reminds me of how we don’t always think we want what God says, but it all works out for the good. He sends a horrible car crash, destroys your vehicle, runs you low on money, and raises your insurance rates. But through your attitude and kindness, he brings several people to Christ in the midst. He provides for what you need and teaches you many lessons. Much like this, often the student doesn’t understand why the teacher teaches what they do, but what they taught helps you in many ways in the future our small minds don’t think of.
What do you think the problem of teacher driven talking or lecturing most of the time?
In the practice of teaching, it is the responsibility of a teacher not only to teach students subject matter, but to teach students in order to enable them to grow and develop as a person. While it is essential for students to have an understanding of academic material, it is also equally as important that when students finish their education they have skills to use in
The same director is in charge of birth through 4th grade. This particular age group looks at three questions. 1) God loves me. 2) God made me. 3) Jesus wants to be my friend forever. All of the lessons and activities are geared to helping the students recognize and understand these three basic truths. These are from the curriculum, but the church feels these are foundational truths that are important for the early childhood children to know. They also help the children look for ways they can apply these truths in their own lives. For example, this month they are focusing on “Jesus wants to be my friend forever,” and the lesson looked specifically at how everyone needs Jesus and how Jesus can help us when we need
I also believe if the Lord puts me in a teaching position, either in a classroom or in a small group, I can teach more clearly who God is and who man is. I think I can also teach people to let go any self-righteous they might have, and trust only on God’s mercy to be saved, even they feel that God is going to strike them dead at any point. I think I can teach people how to fear God, because the fear of God has been growing in me ever since I learned that I’m responsible for all my sins.
Today we are told we can be anything we can dream up. Although this is true, Max Weber would argue that there are certain characteristics that define a profession. In his eyes the only ideal professions are medicine, law and priesthood. There are eight main points Weber makes each of which I feel can be applied to teaching (Bennet & Le Compte pg. 150).
Being a Christian teacher in a Biblical standard is like living a life of Daniel in the Old Testament. Yes, this is not an easy and comfortable calling but a noble one. As Christian teacher, we need to declare and emulate that God governs all things in His sovereignty and faithfulness. It is necessary that we are totally dependent on God’s revelation. He reveals himself in the creation, in Scripture, and in Jesus Christ.
It is quit fascinating to see a writer so humble in the introducing of his own book. Even here Mr. Bruce Wilkinson is teaching before the teaching really begins. Consider what Jesus taught in Luke 17:1-4 (King James Version). Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. It is here the teacher sees what it means to be a teacher. By willing to be a learner themselves in the error of their ways.
I have walked the spiritual path for 30 years, and I have been studying various spiritual teachings. I have also been involved with several organizations and spiritual teachers. I have friends who have been involved with more teachers, and I've watched hundreds of people have been struggling with a spiritual path. Based on my experience and observation, I have come to one conclusion is clear. The difference between those who succeed on the spiritual path and those who continue to struggle with the frustration is how they view the concept of teachers.
