Costantini’s sea-faring activity lasted four years on board Layton, which ‘may have brought him into contact with American eastern seaboard primitive artists, …’ Smith makes clear that the change in the artist’s perception depends on the fulfilment of certain conditions and that ‘to break down the visual prejudices associated with objects…the artist had to experience these things in new ways’. Costantini, through his trips it is reasonably practicable to come into contact with the colonial art created in other parts of the world. Giovanni Gabrieli was a legendary composer of the 16th century. As the fundamental structure and ideas of the Catholic Church were being challenged by the Protestant Reformation and the Counter-Reformation, Gabrieli’s compositions were given the opportunity to be successful and influential to music in the coming centuries. His works helped to transform not only church music of the Catholic Church, but also secular music as well. Giovanni Gabrieli wrote significant works that ultimately shaped the rise of the symphony, including the development of purely instrumental works, the art of orchestration, and the concerto style. Without his innovations in composition, it is arguable that instrumental music would not have developed as quickly, or developed

This celebration started off 2500-3000 years ago that was created by ancestors of Indigenous nations to commemorate the death of their family members. This celebration has dated back from an Aztec festival for the goddess Micteccachihualti and has become a national symbol for the nation. The Mciteccachihualti was a queen of the dead in which the people of this time used skull as the Mayan and Aztec traditions. The origins of the day of the dead begins in ancient Mesoamerica cultures and arrives in Mexico in the early 1500s. The skeleton images are associated with this holiday, such as Calaveras made with sugar and decorated with bright colors that establish a unique Mexican style of art. The skeleton was used to represent the dead playfully ridiculing the living in ancient rituals. The day of the dead is celebrated on November 1st. on this day we commemorate the deaths of the infants or children who passed away and on November 2nd. It is referred to commemorate all adults who passed away.
In Iris H. W. Engstrand article, “Perception and Perfection: Picturing the Spanish and Mexican Coastal West,” I initially did not know what to expect of the article. I figured Engstrand would discuss multiple views and perspectives when moving to the Spanish and Mexican Coastal front. I found the thesis, after reading through the article as it was not outrightly stated, to be: “Artists and illustrators depicted the past -- or the observable present -- in pictorial documents that became the records of current events, journalism, of reportage, and of scientific exploration, discovery, and adventure.” I believe Engstrand’s purpose is to reveal to her readers the predominant primary sources of the late-eighteenth and early-nineteenth century and how the art could be manipulated to please specific cultures or people.

You can never truly know a person just by looking at them because sometimes they put on this glamour to hide their feelings and problems, when they act all happy and outgoing but they really feel depressed and alone. Justine (not her real name) is an example of this, she rarely goes out but when she does she puts on a brave smile and tries to enjoy herself. People describe her as fun and outgoing.
In the small town of Fusignano, Italy, on a chilly winter evening of February 17th, 1653, Arcangelo Corelli was born to single mother Santa Raffini. She had been widowed five weeks prior, and named the baby after his late father. Growing up, Arcangelo Corelli was raised by his mother, alongside four older siblings. The family was well off, but not extremely wealthy, in contrast to claims made by the family. He began to study music, particularly the violin, locally before the age of 10, and had moved to the city of Bologna, Italy in 1666, when he was only 13 years old. At the time Bologna was an Italian center of music, and it is where Corelli continued to develop his violin skills. In 1670, he was accepted into the Philharmonic Academy of Bologna
