Creative Play Analysis

Creative activities are fun for children, they are suggested to help children have positive experiences and develop important characteristics and abilities which lead to a sense of purpose and achievement.

Children learn best through play. Educational play is the best way to teach young children. Children learn best when they have access to learning opportunities that match their preferred learning development. Young children are active learners; their brain develops faster than any other point in their lives. I trust every child is a special person who needs a protected, mindful, and strengthening air in which to create and grow deep down, rationally, physical, and social.

The objective for this assignment is to show the advantages of ‘play’ and ‘creativity’ in the learning environment and the benefits it has for children, as well as to understand why giving children the opportunity to play and be creative, enhances their learning, and how it plays a vital role in their development. In addition, I will look at how creativity is encouraged on The Open University DVD, audio visual sequence number 6 ‘Pop Stars’, and how a game played by children during their golden time, demonstrates learning through play.

What is the point of being a kid when all you have is structured activities and assignments? It is very crucial for children now-a-days to be able to express themselves for who they are and who they want to become. Creative activities provides what children need for finding out who they are and to develope skills that organized activities do not provide. Creative activities also creates a strong social connection that structured activities fail to provide. Children need to be able to have time during their day to spend having creative fun and creative activities.

Some agree that creative play helps with a childs growth an others have said that it doesn't.

From my point of veiw,I do believe that childen creativly playing. Helps develops skills that would be use in early stages of leaning. It's also a good foundation on helping a child in life changing evants. For an exsample starting a new school, when of age a new job.Now that just mean for kids. I think creative play is a great time for children to explore their minds and imagination. Whether organized by an adult or going with the flow, play and the use of their imagination is an important part of any child's day. Although many may believe organizing activities for children is the better way to go, creative play is by far the correct path to take. Creative play allows children to find themselves, and truly find who they are as an individual.

There is often debate as to whether it's more important to provide children with free time for creative play, or to ensure that they participate in more organized activity. In the first article the author refers to creative play as a way to help children learn how to express themselves and promote independent thinking. Whereas in the second article it states that organized activities are more important in the sense that they teach children things like commitment, teamwork, and devoloping healthy attitudes towards themselves. I believe that each of these methods have their own merit, and that a combination of both is best for a childs development.

In todays world, it is good for the children to to play with a creative mind. Experts show the children will develope more with creative play.
