Silence wedged between them until they walked past a familiar storefront for the third time. It was Kiana, not Zeke, who noticed first. "Ezekiel," she mumbled. "I think we're lost." "We're not lost," Zeke scoffed. "Don't worry." Her doubt didn't dent his self-assurance. He continued as if she hadn't said anything, walking forth like he owned the pavement under his feet. Zeke remained oblivious to the fact that touring made him an adept wanderer, but an incompetent navigator. "I'm not worrying," she frowned. "We passed the same building three times." "Everything looks the same in Europe. Culture and shit." He glanced at her. "Even if we are lost–which we're not–live a little. So what if we're a little late to the hotel? Unless...." A taunting smile unfolded from his lips. "You're excited to see Cochran." A blink of jealousy fluttered in his throat, souring the satisfaction of teasing her.
