Creative Writing: Getting Back To Hawaii

“After defeating the Cyclops Polyphemus, my men grew exhausted. They grew thirsty from rowing under the beating hot sun. Sweat dripped down their heads and the ship’s deck grew moist from the mix of the salty, seawater and sweat. We stopped by on a nearby island.

"Wake up, partners," the trail boss, James called. I sleepily looked up , shivered, and saw I was the only one not up. "Here," James said, giving me the horses' bridles and saddles. "Take these and get the horses ready. We have a long day today." I groaned in reply and set up the horses for the day's long drag. I was the horse wrangler and this was my everyday job but I still couldn't get use to the idea of waking up before the sun and working. My name is Jeffrey I was born in Mississippi 1989,June 9 where I came from a trailer there.We spent most of our life there in Mississippi. We made kin friends kinda more that family than friends and had a couple of hilarious jests together I felt like I was gunna spend the rest of my life there but I guess not.My family got into some trouble gambling so me and my family was thinking to flee and go to Alabama.So we took a destination stay with Aunt Sheela for a a week or a month to see if we can find a way to get out of this trouble.

I’m currently a freshman at Cape Coral High School and so far everything has been going well. Teachers and staff are always eager to reaching out and helping students with concerns. Along with that, the hallways, the side stairways, and the happy, marching music are effective during the changing of classes.

The big island is the largest island in Hawaii. On the east side of the big island is a small town called Hilo. Farther east of Hilo is Hawaiian Home Lands, a small neighborhood called Keaukaha. That’s where I’m from. During my childhood, I have lived there for many years. What I loved the most about my home in Keaukaha is the fact that the yard was huge. The houses in the neighborhood were far apart from each other, so everyone had their own space and privacy. My family and I had numerous types of plants in the backyard such as breadfruit, lychee, mango, guava, mountain apple, and many more. As she starts on her journey to the hospital, she takes in the scenery as this is her favorite part of the day. The sun is just beginning to peak over the horizon, and the city is quiet. She takes in the buildings of Memphis, and begins looking at the bridge that will take her into Arkansas. Once she has crossed the bridge, she begins admiring the more rural parts of Arkansas considering there aren't many of those in Memphis, where she's from. She passes an abundance of crops and empty fields as a crop duster comes flying overhead. This was the most fascinating thing she had seen in a long time and was in awe of the amazing piece of machinery. The plane was painted with the kind of yellow that you think of when you think of a happy, sunny day.
