Juli Baker loved Bryce when she first saw him. All through fifth grade Juli would chase Bryce around the school. In seventh-grade she learned how to control herself, but she sat right behind Bryce and would smell his watermelon scented hair. Finally in eighth grade Juli looked beyond the surface, and she saw who Bryce really was than just his beautiful blue eyes. Juli didn't really know Bryce. Until I went to deliver eggs to Bryce from my science fair project. I saw him throw out my eggs, my perfect eggs. Bryce has been doing this for 1 year. I realised he was a coward and my feelings for him disappeared. Until the Basketboy auction, Bryce was number 9 on the list. Even though I though my feeling were gone, I had to bet on hom or else Shelly
“Wake up,” that’s what I heard after passing out from all the blows to the face. My vision is blurred I’m trying to stay awake but I lost consciousness; all of a sudden I felt a splash of coldness on my face, and I woke up gasping for air. The man with the deep ominous voice said, “Wakey wakey little man” I replied, “where the h*ll is Mako!” when I was fully aware of where I was, that’s when I started to panic.
In Things Fall Apart there are many cultural collisions created by the introduction of Western ideas into Ibo culture. One example of a cultural collision caused by the introduction of Western ideas into Ibo culture is when Okonkwo’s first son, Nwoye converts to Christianity. This causes a cultural collision between Okonkwo and Nwoye because Nwoye wants to become a Christian, but Okonkwo doesn’t like the white men or Christianity. This cultural collision is caused by the white men bringing in western ideas to Ibo culture. This collision is very important to the book because it leads to the destruction of Okonkwo and fuels his anger. This collision shapes the meaning of the novel as a whole by symbolizing many things

Juli gets on her bike and got home as fast as she can home.
In Things Fall Apart, Chinua Achebe employs imagery, symbolism, and themes to reveal the story of Okonkwo. Throughout the novel he weaves in these things to really tell us the tale.
It was two days before Christmas, when Josephine opened the door to her 12 year old son’s room. Chay was the oldest of her four children, and the one she related to most. As Josephine sat down on the edge of the bed, Chay opened his eyes slowly. The dim light that seeped through the partially opened door revealed tears in his mother’s eyes.
In life there are times when we suffer a conflict between doing what we “ought to do” and what we “want to do”. In the book Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe there is a lot of examples of this. There is also many conflicts in my life and everyone's life based on these conflicts. The two examples of this I am going to use are me going to my dad's for the weekend or going to my friends house, and Okonkwo beating his wife during the peace festival.
Sunshine was pouring out from in between the buildings, casting shadows all around Ponyboy and the gang as they walked to Pony’s school. They were taking their time walking down the streets and for the first time they all were really seeing what was all around them. Memories were surfacing in their minds showing them what it all meant to them. With every step they took on the sidewalk they remembered a different memory as if they were walking down memory lane. Ponyboy didn’t think it was possible for him to be walking down this street for the last time as a high school student, but he had gone through the years with great grades that earned him many scholarships.
After all he insulted her yard and her beloved chickens. Bryce, on the other hand, had a new found appreciation for Juli. He never realized all the small quirks he liked about her and it took time but he came to conclusion that he likes Juli. Unfortunately for Bryce Juli was ignoring and avoiding him. She didn’t want anything to do with him. A few weeks later, at a school event that Bryce was featured in their relationship took a turn. Bryce was one of his school’s basket boys and would be bid on. As much as Juli would have loved to bid on him she held herself back and bid on Jon Trulock. She ended up winning lunch with him. He stood up and tried to kiss Juli, even though Juli wanted this for the longest time she pulled away. He just wanted to talk to her but she ran away and paid no attention to him. She biked home that day faster than ever, so Bryce wouldn’t be able to talk to her. She then locked herself in her

In the beginning, there was nothing except for fiery lava. Nothing was alive on the earth, there was nothing in general, no water, trees, animals, and definitely no humans to be in sight. There was only a god, a giant rock with lava covering it, and an idea about not being lonely. The god’s name was Jebidiah and he was extremely lonely and needed a spouse. It was impossible to make a spouse for himself because there was no solid ground and no oxygen as well. So the god had an idea, he would make a world capable of living in for his outstanding wife to be. He would add the solid ground, oxygen, trees, grass, and fruit trees for the girl to eat. He didn’t cover the entire floor of lava with the dirt but just enough for the girl not to feel the constant heat.
When they reach Estelle Louise’s driveway, Clemmy Sue eased the Ford into the entrance, and stopped thirty feet from her mailbox.
Veronica sat up, groaning, and surveyed her surroundings. Right, Logan’s- the floor. So much for pretending that was a really long, late-night-chocolate-influenced dream.

Duke had had a few women back in the East; a couple of them serious girlfriends, but mostly just flings, or a floozy who could provide him with somewhere to live. The thief was a man who hated commitment, whether it was to a woman, or a lease on his own apartment, and if he could take advantage of someone else's hospitality, he would. It wasn't as if any of the women actually cared much about his infidelities; with the exception of Amy, his second before last, who was still probably hunting for him with a kitchen knife in hand. Cheating and lying was a way of life back home, and the girls were nothing but a little fun who'd used him for his contacts, and took advantage of his generosity, as much as he did they for their bodies and appearance. And that's pretty much all they possessed; good looks. Each had been
