many different supervision models are employed within the criminal justice organizations in order to maximize the productivity and efficiency of their work teams. However, no single model is inherently better than another as the best management solely depends on a variety of variables. 
Leadership is the process where an individual influences others to carry out a mission within an organization. According to Stojkovic, Kalinich and Klofas (2015), "To accomplish organizational objectives, leaders must influence a number of individuals" (p. 192). A leader is always ready to acknowledge any new given method and to work with different categories of people. Therefore, a leader must be very apt to understand human nature and know his surroundings, including the types of environment and individuals within an entire criminal justice organization.
However, leaders in criminal justice organizations have many limitations. oftentimes, leaders are faced with critical situations such as riots and protests, which require for them to justify their actions in front of the umbrella incorporated media. The literature of leadership in criminal justice organizations is rather prescriptive (Stojkovic et al., 2015). Many of these limitations are due to the fear of disclosing important information. Those goals may include order maintenance, crime fighting and service and community safety. Those organizations need to have a clear sense of their protuding objectives as it may become even more difficult to supervise and evaluate the employees.
