Critical Reflection
In the beginning of the class, I thought biology class might talk about function of human body and animal structure, such as cells, mitosis, organs, etc. When the professor emphasizes the course main idea “Human in the nature world”, I was looking forward to learn more, because it is different from my pervious thought. Before midterm, the class were taught us three important concepts, which were three types of knowledge, niche and evolution. I learned new things from the class which I never thought in the past.
Our general cognize of the world is comes from three different types of knowledge, which are traditional knowledge, faith knowledge and science knowledge. It are brand new information that I When I first time saw these words which were brand new information for me, and I was expecting to learn more about the new things. In the class we watched videos that show different between two of each knowledge. After that we had a discussion about it. Professor asked us to classify knowledge in the video which help us to enhance our memory about these three different types of knowledge. I made notes while listening others discussion and it is a good way for me to accept new information quickly and I could memorize the example in order to make connection in our life. As this part end, I had learnt that in our life, the way we gain knowledge can be classified. Besides according to the classified we know that some of information has not be authorized
From these impressions and ideas stem two kinds of knowledge: relations of ideas and matters of fact. Relation of ideas are a priori and do not need to be

Animal experimentation happens everywhere, we think since animals have similar structures and organs as us it’s easier to experiment on them but does it make it right? Something the public might not know is we already experiment on people. No matter how many times we test on animals there's always going to be someone that will always be the first human to try it. The most popular animals to be tested on being primates because of how similar, there are to the human body. Primates are basically many types of monkeys like a Chimpanzee's. Primates are very different from other animals because of their not a normal animal that could just live in your house there from the wild. For example “ studies demonstrate that they have mathematical, memory,
Knowledge is the framework for understanding information and using it to inform judgements, opinions, predictions and decisions – a pyramidal relationship (See diagram 1)
In the book written by Nonaka (2000), presented a summary of the ideas that underlie the notion of knowledge: (1) Knowledge is justified true believe; (2) Knowledge is something that is explicit (tacit knowledge); (3) knowledge creation effectively dependent on the context that allows the creation of occurrence; (4) knowledge creation involves five main steps are: a). Sharing knowledge explicitly (tacit knowledge), b) created the concept, c). Justifying concepts, d). Build a prototype, and e). Do the dissemination of knowledge.
In the spring of 2011, students, professors, and community members met at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario for the 10th Annual North American Conference for Critical Animal Studies (CAS). The conference, “Thinking About Animals,” was co-hosted between the Institute for Critical Animal Studies (ICAS) and Brock’s Department of Sociology. Conference participants covered a wide array of topics through panels and presentations that discussed the links between human and animal oppression/liberation, gender and meat consumption, postcolonial studies, animal liberation theory, abolitionist history, social attitudes and prejudice, veganism, and activist repression. There were also those which focused entirely on vivisection, farmed animals,
Therefore, it has proven that some specific kinds of knowledge are originated by human’s experience and then turn into information knowledge by sharing

In the first couple of weeks we have talked about multiple topics about humans. Starting off the beginning of class we got a brief description in what the coarse was going to be. We learned that anthropology was the study of people and culture. There are four subfields of anthropology which include cultural, linguistic, archeology, and physical or biological anthropology. There were many different hypotheses that people believed in how the world was created. People believed in different ideas like the young earth hypothesis, catastrophism, and uniformitarianism. Charles Darwin was the one that created the theory of natural selection. The coarse then went into biology and talked about the genetics of the people. We learned about genes,
The anatomical making of the human body is one of complexity and preciseness. It is built to withstand foreign diseases, process biological data, and undergo a plethora of activities, which together compose one of the worlds most well-oiled and lubricated biological machines. The body is capable of maintaining itself and performing all of its countless activities thanks to the process of homeostasis. Homeostasis is the state of body equilibrium or stable internal environment of the body (Marieb, Hoehn, 2013, pg 8). Homeostasis is demonstrated in many ways; from sweating during an intense cardio workout to shivering in the chilly autumn air. The body also demonstrates homeostasis in the way that it reacts to stimulants that are ingested into the body. The focus of this experiment will be on the body’s reaction to a caffeinated beverage, over a period of time, which has been ingested into the body. The indicators of homeostasis that will be tested are: heart rate, blood pressure and temperature.
What does it mean to be human? Why human and animals are different? Due to the book we have read, we can explain that there are biological perspectives interact in; and what make us human is contracting both biological and historical perspective.
Session on Principal of Learning started with the definition of knowledge. At first it sounded simple but as the discussion went deeper, I realized that the concept of knowledge is isn’t simple as I used to think. The session on ‘EPISTEMOLOGY’ the concept of knowledge which was compared from the time of Romans till the modern days were all convincing. The different concept of knowledge by the different philosopher at different period of time with their logical reasoning was a new gain to me in fact.
Knowledge is defined to be facts, information, and skills acquired through experience or education. There are two categories that fall under knowledge; personal knowledge and shared knowledge. Shared knowledge refers to what “we know because.” It can also be defined as communicated and constructed knowledge; within culture, social norms, and semiotics. Personal knowledge refers to “I know because.” An expanded definition of personal knowledge refers to personal experiences, values, and perceptions. Shared knowledge changes and evolves over time because of methods that are continuously shared. It is assembled by a group of people. Personal knowledge, on the other hand, depends crucially on the experiences of a particular individual. It is gained
The Earth is surrounded by different kinds of living creatures since thousand years ago from humans up to small tiny bacteria that live inside this planet. But before we go on do you know what is a bacterium or bacteria? So basically Bacterium or bacteria are small tiny living organism that can only be seen using microscope and it won’t be able to show its body if we look at it using our naked eyes. All of the living creatures that are found in earth may have some interactions with other creatures like humans and animals, even interactions between human beings and small tiny bacteria in many different ways. Human beings and small tiny bacteria could have any interaction in many different ways; due to its tiny size the bacteria are able to come inside the human body from holes from your body, wound, through air and water. Human beings has always been terrify since hundreds years ago by Bacteria because it can affect anyone, and when it affects a person it may cause infections, disease, and if fatal it may cause death. As a result thousands of people more than 23 thousand people die each year in the United States of America according to Centres For Disease Control And Prevention (CDC). Living in Indonesia, a country a large country with full of diversities of plants and animals that’s risky of getting harmful diseases like the an outbreak in Brazil called The Zika Virus that’s carried by mosquitoes there’s a 75% chance of people infected by this disease. Before we carry
