Critical thinking is a skill needed to improve how a person expresses ideas, and how he or she perceives ideas and composes good arguments. A good argument has a true premise and a proper form that a good critical thinker must be able to put into various logical forms. In order to think critically, a person must understand the logical connections between ideas, comprehend how to construct and evaluate arguments made by others, and identify inconsistencies in reasoning.
