She was at work and witnessed one of her managers remove an envelope from the store safe, he then opened the envelope, and he said "oh, I know what this is"; he then took the money out of the envelope and placed it into his pocket along with his own money. The author said nothing and just left work. Then the wheels in her head began to turn, she thought to herself, what just happened and how should she deal with it. So, in returning home she discussed what she had seen and asked for some advice. She was quick to let the person whom she was speaking to know that she was going to tell someone about it regardless of who it might get fired, even if it meant herself. After the chat with her colleague, she just sat quietly for a few hours thinking about the can of warms she was about to open, all the while knowing what had to be done. She decided to call work and ask the Service center employee to look into the trash bin and find out who the envelope was addressed to and asked the employee to call her back as soon as possible with the information she requested. The phone call never came. So, all night long the author tossed and turned with nothing on her mind except what had happened. She prayed that the envelope was indeed for the manager and that he was not stealing from the company.
