D1 Unit 2 Reflection

I am the founder and president of the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Chapter at my school, and I've helped create SADD chapters at other middle and high schools in multiple school districts. Currently, there are about 40 students in my SADD chapter. I started my SADD group my freshman year, so I have been involved with my SADD group for almost three years now.

I have been on the UTD School of Natural Science and Mathematics Dean's List for every semester I have attended UTD. This is awarded to full-time students with a GPA in the top 10%.

At DePauw, I want to study english literature in hopes of one day working as an editor at a book publishing company. One might think that this means that reading and writing are naturally easy for me, but in truth I often struggle to get my thoughts gathered and cohesively written on paper. That is why I want to pursue work as an editor rather than a writer. I’m much better at tweaking and critiquing another’s work than producing my own. Much to my displeasure, I also find that I write some of my best work under the pressure of a time crunch. I realize I need to work to get out of that habit this year.

The doctor of nursing practice (DNP) professional, regarding care of the general population, must consider many situations that may alter the delivery of effective medical treatments. In the beginning of this class we reviewed many of those situations with greater focus on the vulnerability populations. Preventive care remains by far the best interventions for this group. The prepared DNP professional must be ready to assess and address effectively epidemiology and health as well as facilitating evidence-based further development of healthier people priority tasks.

As Auden was growing up she was a well-behaved child because her older brother Hollis was the troublemaker in the family. Auden’s parents would take her places and dinners because they knew that she would not make a commotion. Auden placed a high emphasis on her education because it was learned behavior from her parents, who were a professor and a writer. Her father named her Auden after the famous poet, then when he had a child with his second wife Heidi he named her Thisbe, which comes from Shakespeare. At the start of the summer, Auden is just like her mother in many ways. Auden’s main concern is her GPA, grades and being the best, which is a lot like her mother whose main concern is her work. I've not been accepted to UW Seattle, but I was accepted to UW Bothell and was wondering if possible if there was anyway for me to to be admitted to the Informatics program if i'm attending the Bothell campus?

I am on target with meeting the weekly milestone deadlines and the content requirements. However, as I complete the final synthesis paper I will edit the sections within Digication to reflect any changes made within the paper that are relevant. I have yet to upload a professional photograph, but when I have one taken, I will add this to the welcome page above the quotation image. When I began using Digication, it was time consuming to grow accustomed to how to maneuver around and complete tasks, which included editing the background, when customizing it to reflect my unique identity as an MSW student and an individual. During Williams S. Lawler’s eighth grade school year at Newport Middle School, I had the pleasure working with him in our social studies class which consisted of North Carolina History as well as incorporating US History. Throughout the course of study all elements of social studies were intertwined through our course of study. William excelled on all areas, but particularly with his major interests in the areas of civics/government, culture, and economic/financial literacy.

I realized that I have not been able to do many thing on campus this year because of school and work. However, ALD helped me become more involved on campus and in the community by encouraging members to take part in Community Service Events. I am really glad that I was able to volunteer at the ALD Basketball Tournament and met other members in the society; it was great helping out and enjoying the game at the same time. I am also really proud that we were able to follow through with our plans and making the basketball tournament a reality.

I received an email about incomplete registration for ECON 103 in regards to the lab portion of the course, but all the lab classes are filled up from what I assume is individuals forgetting to drop both sections of the course. I'm wondering if what I need to do is show up on the first day of the class, and ask the professor which one of the labs has an open spot, or if I'm supposed to do something

Using the Driscol model of reflection (2007), when reflecting on my experience of searching for articles, the Driscol model was chosen as this model is broken down into 3 sections of what happened, so what and now what is next for the future, the model can be used for academic material as well as being able to use it in practice.

Applying to graduate school is an important process. Students need to make sure that they meet all the expectations of the programs to which they are applying. However, the graduate schools must also meet the needs of the students. From what I have learned, the DPT Program at Franklin Pierce University exceeds expectations. Both the DPT program, and the university as a whole, are committed to academic excellence, helping the community, and thoroughly preparing students for careers in their desired field.

I would like to place myself Acceptance stage of DMIS because children are getting use to their own culture. Understanding each children culture and respecting their background as teacher because every children is different and have an understanding of each culture. Have an open mind on the students idea and feelings, and behavior may seem unusual, but realize each that their experience is just as rich as your

For my second ELD I went to a Friday Forum at the behavioral health center. The forum was over how play can support wanted behaviors. The first thing she talked about was Oppositional defiance disorder and how a lot of ODD kids are being mis diagnosed for ADHD. ODD can be caused by mental disorders but is most commonly from trauma/attachment issues. She then talked about how ODD is most commonly cause by developmental things getting missed causing a lot more stress and developing ODD. If a child is missing building blocks they wont be able to regulate and the bad behavior is a stress response. She then talks about how research shows that increase play decreases the stress response and decreases bad behavior. She then made us high school students

For this blog, I shall discuss my insights and reflective thoughts in regards to the Tier 1 Classroom Management Plan. The week in which Tier 1 was due consisted of several projects and assignments being due as well. This period of time really tested my time management skills and the ability to balance school and work. I survived the process, but I don't know what grade I received for the Tier 1. Throughout the process I realized that my expert authority out powered my referent authority. I am assuming this is due to the content area I am teaching. Providing an authentic AP chemistry experience for students requires a more professional and focused experience in the classroom and lab. Lap procedures are similar to those seen in industrial laboratories.
