I received a call from Ms Joan Marshall, she complained about her daughter's SSB, who is in DHS custody, has been abruptly taken by DHS and she uses that money to pay her mortgage. She said that if she does not get back that money she will lose her house going in foreclosure. Her husband started talking loudly on the background, I was not able to understand neither of both of them, I asked to please have a conversation with one of the only as it is hard to understand when two people are talking at the same time, the he took the phone and and with speaker open he started yelling and screaming using inappropriate words. The entire time he spoke she was pacing back and forth from the front door of the station to her vehicle while yelling. She said he assaulted her and the police never help her. She spoke of alleged incidents which were to have occurred prior to today and said the police don't do anything. I asked why she didn't call then if that had happened. She did not respond with an answer
Upon our arrival, a Hispanic male later identified as Juan Navarro opened the front door but not the security screen door of the home. I advised Navarro that I was the North Las Vegas Police Officer and was at his home because of the 911 disconnect. I asked Navarro if anyone else lived in the home to which he responded his three kids and the mother(Miriam Garcia) of his children lived there as well. I asked Navarro if we could speak to them to ensure that they were all in good health. At this point, Garcia came to the door and Navarro told me he would not open the door at that they were all "ok". Garcia then opened the screen door and when she did I noticed Navarro had two fresh diagonal scratches on his neck as well as two small cuts on his neck.
All of a sudden Mrs. Anderson started yelling and screaming at me. I asked her to please stop yelling and screaming at me, but she continued, so I hung up my cell phone. When I arrived on scene, I contacted the caller identified as Jordan Lundy. Lundy stated he was with his girlfriend and they went to the dispatched address to speak with her cousin. Lundy was inside the residence where a female confronted him. The female was identified as Alesha McCool. Lundy stated McCool was his girlfriend's cousin. Lundy said McCool began yelling at him calling him a thief and other names. Lundy let McCool yell at him because he wanted to amend the relationship with McCool. Once McCool stopped yelling, Lundy said he turned around and walked out of the house. Lundy advised McCool followed him out of the house continuing to yell at him. Lundy reached the street and he told McCool "Fuck you" but she continued to follow him into the street. McCool approached Lundy in the street where she pushed him with both hands. Lundy informed me he was pushed so hard he "flew" backwards but stayed on his feet. Since Lundy stayed on his feet, he stated McCool walked up to him and slapped him across the face. While on scene Leslie TAPIA continued to yell at Hope BAKER and Ernesto TAPIA at an unreasonable and excessive level. Leslie TAPIA was requested to stop yelling on numerous occasions, but would not comply with our request. I informed her that she would be arrested if she did not stop yelling. She continued to yell at Hope BAKER and Ernesto TAPIA while she was inside the home as well as outside while standing in the street. Leslie TAPIA was again advised that if she did not stop yelling she would be arrested for persistent disorderly conduct. She refused to comply and continued to yell.
On 07/14/2016, at approx. 1230 hours, I made contact with Jennifer Dombrosky (Najera) the mother of Nick Merva and Kevin Najera. She said her children did receive the court subpoena and were aware of the hearing. She indicated Kevin's condition has become worse since the incident and he has an uncontrollable studder and hand tremor due to the trauma. I said I would have the ADA contact her to discuss the case. I forwarded her phone number that she supplied to ADA Hoppes.
R/s Elouise Ethridge has cancer and is doing chemo treatments. R/s Ms. Ethridge has a blood circulation problem in her legs and it affects her mobility. R/s everyday Ms. Ethridge and her son, James fight and LE is called out to the home once a week. R/s on yesterday according to James, his mother had her hand in his face, so he slapped her. R/s LE responded to the home and James was arrested, but later released. R/s there is concerned that Ms. Ethridge and James are going to kill each other. R/s James sometimes double up on his medication and calls to the ambulance. R/s James abuses the system by saying he needs to go to a mental institute, but he only he does it to get out of the house.
While on scene, I learned Jessica had an active warrant for her arrest, and Inv. Schlag contacted me knowing Hubbard Co. Social Services had a health & welfare concern for the children of Jessica & Eli. I then received a call from Child Protection Worker Beth Grande who informed me she wanted the children placed on a hold. Inv. Schlag stated he would respond to the scene and assist Hubbard Co. Social Services. I forwarded the documents I started to Inv. Schlag & briefed Sgt. Stacey when he arrived on scene.
On 10/02/2016, at 0431 hours your Affiants were dispatched to 11 1/2 West Oak Street where the caller, David Grady, reported his ex-girlfriend broke into his home and was not authorized to do so. Grady indicated he had left his home on 10/01/2016, at approximately 1545 hours, to attend a class reunion and afterwards went out with friends. While at a friend's home his ex-girlfriend was there and asked if she could come over. He replied maybe later and that he would let her know. Shortly later she left his friend's home and he began receiving text messages from her which he showed Officers the messages. She messaged him saying his door was locked and he replied I know. She then sent another message saying "I got in lol." Grady said the
The caller, Jacob Komara, stated Marilyn Stefanski was there refusing to leave. She went in and asked to use the bathroom and he said she could. She proceeded to sit down and he advised her that she is not suppose to be there. She became verbally agressive and refused to leave. He has asked her to leave before approx. 1 to 2 months ago when she entered and began giving him a hard time, but on that occassion she willingly left without any additional problems.
A Spanish-speaking member of Kentucky medicaid called in to the call center where I working in Louisville, KY. She quickly started to talk, she sounded very afraid. she was crying and begging me not to cancel her childrens medicaid. Once there was a pause I quickly stepped in and comforted her by telling her that I am here to help her the best way I can. She was acting this way because she receive a letter from the state and assumed they were going to cancel her kids medicaid because she missed an appointment, she didn't understand the letter very well and couldn't translate it for me but she did mention the name of our company was on the letter. In a prayer meeting in the small group setting few months ago, Stephanie has shared her feelings with tears with my wife Catherine. She talked about Tony, who recently could not sleep well has yelled and blamed at her and the daughter frequently with anger and abusive manner. Most of the reasons were silly and really not significant. His verbal and mental abuse on Stephanie and the daughter are seriously affecting their emotion and daily routine. According to Stephanie, there is no violence involved so far, however, the emotional abuse caused both of her and the daughter serious distress. It drew our
