DRAFT 2 (unedited) Once upon a time there was a secret spy who was stationed in china by the United States. He was pretending to be a Chinese army engineer working on a top secret base underwater and inside a mountain. The base was being made to hide a new, special, huge submarine that was wide than two football fields side by side and was 5 stories tall. This sub was made to be a D-day safe place and to be a mobile office for the empower and his secret service. The US spy, Jon, was a supposed to plant camera in the sub so the US could see what they were really doing on board the Mammothine. the spy got all the micro-cameras in place and ready to transmit to the white house. About a week later the US turned on the cameras to test them. …show more content…
he had to go over the blueprints, find weak points, help make 3D models and make sure all the pieces line up and will work together, because the Mammothine was to be made in huge parts. and could not be made as one solid piece. Once all the furniture, grass, and other nessities were put onboard they had to do another camera test to make sure that they were all still working. Jon went on board each level of the sub and walked through checking things and his secret cameras as he went the White house told him which ones needed to be moved or adjusted. Once they had them all adjusted and Jon was satisfied with the build quality of the interior they took it for another dive test. This time there was a small needle sized leak in one of the welds. After that was fixed they went out again, this time with no problems at …show more content…
Slowly the Chinese government assembled everyone in the mountain and presented a seminar on what was to happen. They were taught how to drive and control the ship if anything bad happened everyone was also shown two buttons on the driving panel. One, the green one, brought the sub back for restocking and other important things. The second one, the red one, took the sub to D-day underwater city. This city would be able to keep them all well feed and happy for up to 340 years, 10 years longer than it take for a nuclear blast zone to be safe again. Jon was put on this sub and they submerged for 1 year. When they came back up Jon checked in with the White House but they did not respond for a
Many people in the 1960s and early 1970s did not understand why the United States was involved in the Vietnam War. Therefore, they had no desire to be a part of it. The Selective Service System, which was used to conduct the draft, had aspirations of directing people into areas where they were most needed during wartime. However, people took advantage of the draft system’s deferment policies to avoid going to war. Others refused induction or simply did not register. There were also people who left the country to escape the draft. The Vietnam War proved to be an event that many Americans did not agree with, and as a result, citizens took action to elude the draft entirely or to beat the draft system.
The United States, the most powerful army in the world at the time of the war. The Vietnamese war started in November 1, 1955 and ended in 1975. To many people it was one of the most pointless wars in the United States history. It was like the country was split during the war. There was many protest against the some of which that drew blood. So why did the United States join the Vietnamese war. What was the impact on American society, the people of America. What was the impact of war on the United States foreign policy. The foreign policy determines how America conducts relations with other countries, further certain goals. So why did the United States join the war, what was the impact of the war on America society, and what was the impact of the war on the United States foreign policy.
They soon discovered the submarines bow planes were buried; the bow tanks full of sand. The propellers were torn off, steering gear ruined, stern tanks flooded, and all the hatches were desperately jammed.
He feels Yanagi’s pain through the connection but he does not draw attention to it. To be in the heat of a powerplay game such as the one boiling over in Konoha right now is a moment of extreme delicacy and ruthlessness; attachments are withheld, persons numbed down. The rampant mentality is this: eliminate those who are likely to get in one’s way, even if they are friends, or valuable allies. Nobody who lived through the Warring States Era would be unfamiliar with this tenet: do what must be done. And if Tobirama was forced to choose among the Yamanaka twins, he would keep Yanagi alive, simply because she is now the more valuable of the two, even though Yanagi herself and most definitely, not Osamu, would admit it. For to dabble in politics is to know who has value, worth and utility, and who do not.
The Vietnam War impacted America in a great way. It has changed how we look at war in general. America had many reasons to be involved in the Vietnam War. The War also had a major impact on society during this time. The majority of America was against war. Foreign policy has changed from the effects of the Vietnam War. The United States is more careful on when they choose to go to war.
During the Vietnam War, Americans were selected for military service by a government agency called the selective service. Those young men between the ages of eighteen and twenty six were forced into an involuntary process called the draft. Protesting against conscription or “the Draft” had always been a part of wartime America. Though for many citizens the Vietnam War would be the drawing line. Mentioned in What’s Your Number? an article written by Historynet, the first drawing of numbers using a draft lottery system to select who would and would and would not be drafted for the Vietnam War took place on December 1, 1969 (Historynet 2009). This marks the beginning of turmoil and uncertainty for those men born between the years 1944 and 1950
The Vietnam War started on November 1, 1955, and ended on April 30,1975. When the North Vietnamese Army(Vietcong) took Saigon, South Vietnam's capital, killing thousands of Americans and South Vietnamese soldiers in the process, the war came to disastrous conclusion. The war was sought out to be a victory, however, falling short with internal problems. The war was very unpopular and caused many disruptions with drafting, costing the United States billions of dollars and generating hate towards the veterans who served. Draft Evasion is an intentional decision not to comply with military action, regardless of the position they’re called for, and was one of many reasons for the deprivation of the war. Refusing to submit to the draft was considered
During the Vietnam War 27 million American men registered for the “Draft”. A American man was required to register for the draft at the age of 18. Men between the ages of 18-26 years old fought in Vietnam unless they were in college or Medically disabled. 80% of the middle and lower classes fought in the war, and about ⅔ of the men were volunteers to fight.
As the United States became more involved in the Vietnam War, the American society became fired up, not supporting the war, and questioned the United States foreign plan. The American people spread their messages in many ways from protest songs to protests. Protest songs were used as propaganda to send negative messages about the US and the war. One of the iconic protests songs at the time came out in 1965 by Country Joe and the Fish, “I-Feel-Like-I’m-Fixin’-To-Die” (Doc B). This song gave off the message to America that there are other things then just enlisting in the war and that there is a lot of money to be made in America, while still being supportive, like helping supply the Army with the equipment needed to fight (Doc B). This 1965
During the time the United States was in a war, the American public was sharply divided creating another war among its people. The war had transformed America to a different place with its defeat. It had far-reaching consequences and impact on most aspects of American life from the economy, culture to domestic politics and foreign policy. The Vietnam war created a time of uncertainty because so many had lost their trust in the government. With the end of the Vietnam war, the United States left with a humiliating defeat and shockingly high casualties.
Succumbing to hunger and thirst on the fifth day, they killed the dog for nourishment. Two of the crewmen died on the sixth day. On the seventh, the remaining crew reached land.
1 The U.S fought many wars and shed a lot of blood in those wars, but the Vietnam war beats the record to the top of bloody wars. At Vietnam when we went to war is was not really a war it was a conflict. Since the U.S congress never declared war on Vietnam. After that the U.S congress never declared war, Japan was the last to be declared war on by the U.S congress. 2 North Vietnam was trying to take South Vietnam under Communist control.
The Vietnam War was one of the bloodiest wars in the history of Vietnam. Vietnam use to be a peaceful country until the idea of communism started spreading across Vietnam. Many wanted to stay democratic but saw what happened to the Germans and started to lean towards communism. Many also wanted to stay democratic and still had it hopes high that it will soon get their lives and economy back on track.
The Vietnam War started on November 1, 1955. 9,087,000 military personnel served on active duty during the Vietnam Era. Those that went into the war zone suffered, not only from wounds but also from a variety of jungle diseases and malnutrition. One of the few sources of clean water came from water purification tanks at Vietnamese refugee camps.Preventive medicine teams worked to control rodent and insect infestations, spray for malarial mosquitoes, and purify unclean water.
The descent to the sea floor was where the first problems emerged. Roseu made the descent to steep, nothing was damaged on the outside of the submarine. However, many loose instruments aboard were tossed around. One small problem arose, Istanbul’s Submarine of International Sea Exploration was nowhere to be found, even on radar. This led to some worries among Nikolai and Jack. Roseu was equipped with state of the art technology and should have no trouble detecting the Turkic submarine. However, Roseu was not capable of communicating with Russia, this was forbidden in the rules and classified as cheating. Roseu reached the seafloor, the Turkic submarine had been located with their radar, it
