Dale Bolinger Case Summary

Jeffrey Dahmer was an infamous serial killer and sex offender. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 21, 1960. Jeffrey Dahmer killed 17 men between 1978 and 1991. He was sentenced to 15 life terms, but was later murdered by an inmate in 1994. His murders included rape, dismemberment, necrophilia, and cannibalism. Since most of Dahmer’s victims were African American males, many people believed his acts had to do with racism.

Convicted rapist Phillip Craig Garrido was born in California on April 5, 1951. Phillip Kidnap 11 year old Jaycee Dugard on June 10, 1991, outside of her home in South Lake Tahoe in California. He kept her captive for 18 years, would constantly rape her. During these years, Garrido raped dugard repeatedly, fed her countless lies and impregnated her twice, Jaycee had two daughters with Garrido, giving birth to them at the ages of 14 and 17.

He was arrested in Montana because he was seen near a local elementary school impersonating a police officer. When an officer approached him and asked him to take his hands out of his pockets, he refused. He was then detained and the officer found a stun gun on his person. This was a close call that could have ended very badly if he had not been seen. Another incident involving Bar-Jonah, was when he tried to kidnap two boys. He sexually assaulted and strangled the boys before one was able to escape and get help from local authorities. Bar-Jonah was convicted of kidnapping and attempted murder for which he was sent to the Massachusetts Correctional Institute for eighteen to twenty years. Later on he was sent to Bridgewater Mental Hospital. While at Bridgewater Mental Hospital he talked about his fantasies which were incredibly violent and disturbing. Bar-Jonah talked about his sexual fantasies which were extremely violent. He also expressed a curiosity for human flesh. After two years of being there he was given an evaluation. Howard is from East Brewton, Alabama. Howard was was actually a convicted sex offender as he was charged in 1999 with two counts of sexual assault and rape. He has been jailed for 15 years in an Alabama prison and is listed on the state’s Sex Offender Registry, PEOPLE reports.

When we hear the phrase, sex offender, we normally feel repulsed. We think of dirty old creepy men. I for one used to do this, I won’t lie. This is because people like to rush to judgment. But my opinions changed when I came to the realization that it’s not just creepy old men who are sex offenders. I want to talk about them, but not those who are serial rapists or child molesters; they don’t deserve to be talked about. I’m talking about people who are convicted, whether it’s falsely, or unjustly, and have to wear a stamp on their forehead for the rest of their lives saying they are a sex offender.

A 32-year-old sex offender lived in Boulder, Colorado named Gary Oivia. when JonBenét was found strangled to death it looked like what looked liked sexual assault, proven by the droplet of blood on her underwear. The convicted pedophile had been living in the area periodically when police reportedly found a magazine cutout of JonBenét Ramsey in his backpack after he was arrested on drug charges in 2000. Case Summary: Grutter v. Bollinger, 539 U.S. 306 (2003) involved a white Michigan resident named Barbara Grutter and the University of Michigan Law School. Grutter was frustrated by her rejection from the Law School, claiming that the University’s decision was due to a discriminatory admission policy which sought to enroll greater amounts of underrepresented minority students. Grutter believed that white candidates possessed a disadvantage due to this policy and she sued the university. According to Grutter, race was the “predominate factor” in selecting applicants instead of academics. She argued that the policy was unconstitutional and that it violated her 14th Amendment rights.

Ardoldis Chapman, a “closer” pitcher for the New York Yankees was suspended and fined under the baseball’s new domestic violence policy. Chapman was said to have gotten into an argument with his girlfriend in October 2015. It then escalated to Chapman aiming a fire arm at her as she ran into the woods on a neighbor’s property. However, no charges were filed against Chapman. He has made history as the first baseball player to be suspended and fined under the baseball’s new domestic violence policy.

In 2015, he was transferred to the USB Florence. This was a federal prison in Colorado.

Gaynor killed and robbed most of victims in order to obtain money for drugs. The most gruesome of his murders was that of Amy Smith. Amy’s body was found in her apartment a week after she was killed. Her 22-month old baby had been left alone with her body and had subsequently died from dehydration and starvation. He killed a total of 9 women by strangulation in a three year period and was sentenced to life in prison in May 2000.

According to Sheriff’s Department records, Mr. Wanty was seen by mental health personnel on March 12, 2016 for depressed and anxious mood. Mr. Wanty said he “constantly worry about things… worried about his son and being in jail.” There are no ongoing entries related to contact with the mental health unit, any assessments, or medications administered to address any symptoms.
