Death is presented to a man (everyman) and all of mans friends run, escape, protect themselves.
The lesson learned if fairly obvious in my mind.
When someone is dying, no pleading or begging or cajoling will stop death and death will not be announced.
But that is not the true lesson.
The lesson is much more heart retching then that.
It is an understanding that you cannot take people or things with you.
People and things cannot help you.
Your life is an open book to God and He already knows where you are going. “I’m an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking.
You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight.”Psalm 139 beginning
We are told that He will separate the believers from the

Romans 10:9
But does this mean you now can go about your sinful life living as you previously have done and ignore the commitment you made.
No!
We are all sinners and when we accept Jesus into our hearts we commit to following our new body (the Holy Spirit) instead of our old sinful body.
Paul says every day every moment, was a battle for him between his old self and his new self. Romans 8:13 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
2 Peter 1:1010 Therefore, my brothers and sisters,[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,
His old self was how he sinfully acted and lived before following God, and his new self is the e Holy Spirit living inside of him to guide him as he follows the Lord.
They fought because we are naturally sinful and with the Holy Spirit inside him he was trying to please two masters but you cannot do that. “24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” Matthew 6:24
Following God means to fellowship with Him, Read what He has written in His Word, follow His guidance, listen for what His will is in your life, and talk with Him.
.How can we expect to know God if we don’t fellowship (spend time with him every day?
God gave us His
II. Main Point 2. God tells us in 1 John 1: 9“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” And again in 2 Corinthians 5:17“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come.”
God gave men the free will to elect their own salvation. There is no sin until it is actually committed. Sin was now considered a voluntary act. It also consists of a change of heart, which revived the concept of limited atonement. Christ did not die for only a select few predestined elect, but for whosoever will accept God’s offer of salvation. Personal commitment also involved an active and useful Christian life in which individual action brings the kingdom closer.
(Rand 98). Prometheus, as he renames himself, finally has peace within himself with the clarification that he was not different and alone, but that others before his time had the same thought process as he did. His assessment of his sin ends without one negative notation and is formed to create a new outlook on his life, reflecting on the previous choices he has made. Prometheus uses his decision as an opening to create a new beginning, a new chapter in the history of
He is tested one last time to see if he really has faith, he sacrifices his old home, he undergoes death when he is about to be hanged, and he undergoes rebirth by being rescued by the flood. Therefore, this is
Sometimes life gives you a test before you have had the chance to learn the lesson. The most important lesson to learn in life before you die is that you have to fight for what you believe in and you have to fight for yourself. In the novel “A Lesson Before Dying” by Ernest J. Gaines, this lesson is taught throughout the progression of the plot through the characters of Jeffrey, Grant, and Miss Emma.
past, present, and future-and afforded new life along with freedom and fruitfulness in the Holy Spirit. We ("flesh") have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us by faith through the Holy Spirit so that we do not "gratify the desires of the flesh." (Gal. 2:20; 3:14, 4:6-7, 5:16, 24).
However, Christ’s resurrection ensures our regeneration. We have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Peter explicitly connects Jesus’ resurrection with our regeneration or new birth (1 Peter 1:3-4). When Jesus rose from the dead he had a new quality of life, a “resurrection life” in a human body and human spirit that were perfectly suited for fellowship also obedience to God forever. In his resurrection, Jesus earned for us a new life. Notably, we do not receive all the new “resurrection life” when we become Christians, for our bodies remain as they were, still subject to weakness, aging, and death. But in our spirits, we are made alive with new resurrection power.
In the play “everyman” death is depicted as something that is terribly feared as no one seemed ready for it, death is perceived as something that takes one away from the pleasures of this world.
Christ does not cease working in us until he has changed us into Christ’s own image. Our goal is to be shaped into the entire form of the incarnate, the crucified, and the risen one.
In the book ‘’The Five People You meet in Heaven’’ by Mitch Albom. Eddies learned five lessons from five different people. The first lesson Eddie learned was from The Blue Man; Joseph Corvelzchik. Eddie learns that every life has a purpose even if the purpose doesn't come after death “fairness does not govern your life”(48). If it did people would die young. The second lesson Eddie learned was from The Captain; life is about sacrifice. Third lesson was from Ruby he learned the importance of forgiveness. Fourth lesson was from Marguerite Eddie's wife she died young from cancer. She teaches Eddie love is not lost after death. The last person Eddie meets is Tala the little girl that died from the fire during the war. She teaches Eddie that his
Based upon Morrie’s words of wisdom, I believe this lesson is the idea that it is never too late to learn, grow, change, and live life to the fullest. The novel explored life from both a young man’s perspective, as well as an old man’s perspective. Mitch, the young man, concealed in his life some choices that he regretted. Morrie teaches him that it is not too late for him to change and move on from these choices. Morrie, the older man, is slowly dying, and yet continues to learn and grow and live life the way he wants to live it. Morrie expresses this lesson through explaining the importance of avoiding feeling sorry for ourselves and using emotion labor to detach from our emotions in order to live life to the
The New Testament highlights resurrection and living a life of faith and purity. Those who commit themselves to God and are in union with the Lord work towards God’s grace and a divine fate. However, for those who live a life of sin and mock God, he turns his back to leave them to lead their lives in sin and ultimately
At one point in time, everyone lived as a sinner. But God chose to save them through grace. Believers should respond in good works.
be among His people in a special way. Jesus called this special way the Kingdom of God. He warned His listeners to repent their sinful ways to be ready for the approaching Kingdom of God. In urging
However, in order for us to truly have a relationship with God (take the first step); we must first accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We have to accept Christ as our Savior because we can’t have a personal relationship with God as long as we are with sin .In order to make atonement for our sins, we have to accept Christ. To accept Christ, which can be done anywhere, anytime and anyplace, is taking the first step to building a relationship with God, we must confess of our sins, repent of our sins, confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior and he died on the cross for our sins, and finally, have faith in our prayers (what we just said, or simply put, just talking to God). By following the steps mentioned above, we are considered born again Christians and can now have a loving relationship with God. Although it is not required, Christians also get baptized in holy water to cleanse the body (flesh) of all of its sin, generally the same day they accept Jesus as their Savior. Christians prefer to do this step because Jesus was
