I can personally relate to field workers because I was a field worker myself. Every day that I worked in the strawberry fields I felt nothing but pain. I was never in the state of mind of feeling happy due to my depressed state of well-being. I knew my following day was going to be as terrible as my last. My first days were the toughest. I would get home from work and simply shower, eat, and sleep. I would fall asleep right away due to my unbearable back pain. There were days where I tried to obligate my state of mind to feel happy, but it simply didn’t work. I believe that the happiness state of mind can only be obtained if you're going through peaceful and enjoyable times. One can’t simply just make happiness
