Definition Essay: What Does It Means To Be A Hero

Hello, my name is ___________. What is a hero? You may be thinking of a hero with superpowers, such as laser vision, flying, and other superpowers. But, being a hero doesn’t always have to be with superpowers. But the question is what does it take to be a hero? Well in my opinion, being a hero means that you would have to help others in need. Let’s say bullying, bullying is not a good thing to do. If you help the kids that get bullied and stand up for them you help a bullying situation be gone. Even though it might have been a little, it’s still helps a lot. But also being a hero means to be brave enough to do rough things.

A hero is one of many people. From firefighters to comic superheros, heros can be anything of anyone’s imagination. For instance such as Johnny from the outsiders, he was just a typical average teenager until he saved thouse kids. That is being a hero, taking action when it’s needed.

What exactly is a hero? To some it’s a fictional character with a cape who possesses a special power that helps them do great things for others; and to others it a completely different story. To me, a hero is someone who has made a good difference on not just my life, but others as well and has inspired us to never give up, to better ourselves, and to try and live life to the fullest. For example, Josh Hamilton, he has made a big difference and has had a good impact on my life in probably every aspect you can think of and not only that, but he has shown me that you can always get back up and fight, you can always overcome your life’s obstacles, also he has shown me that you should always have your faith in the Lord.

Heroes are people that have the capability and willingness to give their lives for a greater good. A hero does not have to die in the process, but does try and help others than him/herself. Sometimes, a hero is someone that starts out ordinary, but then makes themselves extraordinary with their effort and dedication. Ultimately, a hero is someone who helps others in times of need and is determined to help them, no matter the obstacle or challenges ahead.

Being a hero doesn't necessarily mean you are the strongest or the fastest, it can simply mean you put others before yourself. Being heroic can have many different attributes ,but in my eyes a hero reflects characteristics of selflessness, courage and nobleness.

Have you ever wondered what it means to be a hero well if you do being a hero means helping others in need. Be the impact you want to see in the world. You have to be helpful, courageous, and honest. Being a hero is also being a leader.

What is a hero? Well everybody has a different definition but one key trait all heros have is bravery. On hero that carries this trait is a president. Presidents not only stand up in front of a lot of people during speeches but also have control over the united states of america. Another hero is a soldier, they risk their lives every day to protect our country. Heros don’t only need to be in real life they can also be in books, like dallas winston from the outsiders.

Heroes are very special people, and I have some of my own. After doing interviews on my mom and grandma, I discovered that we all have a different definition of ‘hero’ but a hero is important to each of us. For example, my grandma thinks a hero is someone who lives what they believe, and my mom thinks a hero is someone who is selfless, puts others before them, and always does the right thing.

A hero is someone who visualizes the needs of others exceeding their own needs. Some heroes utilize peaceful methods, and others fight to save the lives of those in need. Regardless of whether a hero physically fights for someone or not, they always want to do the right thing. Heroes of today’s society exemplify a variety of visages and character traits.

When I think of a hero I automatically think of someone with powers beyond thinking, handsome and who will sacrifice his own life to save others. Someone who have many qualities like courage, brave, noble and not selfish. This overlooked qualities and outstanding altruistic achievements defines a hero. On the other hand, a villain is a complete opposite of a hero. Villain are selfish, evil, and ignoble and will creates obstacles to stop the hero from helping others in need. Heroes represent righteousness and villains criminality. Therefore, heroes are better than villains.

The true meaning of a hero. A hero is a person, who saves people’s lives .A hero, has a good attitude and is kind to their peers. Being a hero means helping people voluntary because everyone in this world needs help at some point.

After doing a lot of research on this topic, I’ve come to the conclusion most people have different views on what it means to be a hero, ranging from what Wikipedia mostly says is a main character of a story, to what Google says the word means, a submarine sandwich.

Many people don't know the definition of a hero. People can just call each other heroes just because they did simple task when they needed it. But do they really mean it when they call you a hero? Or is it just because they don’t really know the definition of a hero. A hero can be ordinary person that lives a normal life just like you or me. It takes a hero to take risk and step up to the challenge when needed. A hero is not paid to take risk and save lives they do it because they want to.

The reason why I chose my mother as my everyday hero is due to the fact that she is the one responsible for making me the person I am today. When I was young I use to get sick often, I had asthma since a very young age and often during the night I would get asthma attacks. My parents would always get worried if my asthma got really bad, it would often get so bad that they would have to take me to the hospital.
