Demi Lovato is an inspiration to many girls and boys. She has had many ups and downs in her life, but she made it through the tough times in her life. She’s a role model to many people around the world, teaching them not to give up. She’s saved many lives just by saving her own.
Demi started her career in acting when she was 7 years old on Barney and Friends. She appeared on Barney for 2 years. After Barney, she stopped acting, until she got older. When she was 14, she starred on 'Prison Break' for only one episode. When she was 15, she played a role in 'As The Bell Rings' and also starred in 'Just Jordan' for one episode. While in treatment, Demi was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Three months later, in January 2011, she got out of treatment.
A little later in the year, in April, she had an interview with Seventeen magazine, to discuss her struggles. In the same month, she announced she wasn’t coming back to her show, ‘Sonny With A Chance’. Later in the year, Demi released her third studio album 'Unbroken'. The first single ‘Skyscraper’, made its way to number 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. ‘Skyscraper’ was also certified platinum in the United States and the second single ‘Give Your Heart A Break’, was certified double-platinum in the U.S. Demi went on a short summer tour, starting in June but ending in September. Although, it was later resumed and renamed 'A Special Night with Demi Lovato'. Skyscraper was also nominated for 'Best Video With a message' at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, and won. Later in the year, Demi put out a documentary Stay Strong, about her recovery and time in treatment. And also, became a judge for the American version of The X Factor.
This year of The X Factor, Demi has returned to the judges panel. Demi has also come out with her fourth studio album 'Demi', which got to number 10 on the U.S Billboard Hot 100. In September, she also announced coming out with a new book called Staying Strong: 365 Days
