Senator Dennis Chavez was born on April 8, 1888 in the community of Los Chévez. He worked driving a grocery wagon at the age thirteen to help support his family. He had eight children and moved to Albuquerque New Mexico. Dennis Chavez focused on his education and studied engineering, American history, and politics. Dennis looked up to Thomas Jefferson on his journey to get an education. With the education of engineering, he became a surveyor and assistant to the Albuquerque city engineer. Soon after, Dennis was recognized and became a Spanish interpreter. Later, he moved to Washington to work on the senator's staff following the election. Because their relationship grew, the ministry was right by Cesar's side during the strikes. He later on explains how supportive the ministry was, “ When 30 of the strikers were arrested for shouting Huelga, 11 ministers went to jail with them.” (Chavez). Although it might not be obvious, Chavez wanted the church to feel betrayed as well. He wanted them to begin to question why CMM was with them. Austin Villegas is a senior at Chino Hills High School. During his time at CHHS he participated in many programs. Austin played football for all four years of his high school career. He was the starting right tackle for the freshmen football team that went 9-1 and won the league title. After his freshmen football season Austin was promoted to the varsity football team where he earned his varsity letter as a sophomore. Once Austin’s junior season started he worked his way into the starting lineup as the right guard.
