The Conscientiousness and Agreeableness traits have been proven to be good indicators of an individual’s team performance (Neuman & Wright, 1999). The combination of achievement-striving and consideration for others can contribute to a team’s success. I have always been a good team player and scored very high in Achievement (See Figure 4) and Altruism (See Figure 5). I am very cooperative and ambitious and I see myself as a team player who genuinely cares about the success of the group as well as the individuals.
1A. My interpersonal communication goal that I want to improve is, learning how to start a conversation with strangers. My daily routine/tasks are repeatable. My days consist of taking the two older kids to school, cooking, doing chores around the house, and taking care of my youngest. My youngest child is not in daycare. She definitely knows how to keep me busy throughout the day when she’s not sleeping. Being a stay at home mom, I don’t really get the chance to socialize or speak to strangers on a regular basis. In addition, I love to hibernate and stay home during the winter.
Interpersonal effectiveness is defined as asking for what one wants and being able to say no while maintaining self-respect and relationships with others (Psych Central, 2015, p.1). “Individuals with borderline traits or emotional dysregulation often struggle to maintain healthy relationships because they have only learned how to engage with others in a highly emotional manner” (Hall & Flanagan, 2014, p. 238). Clients must learn both how to manage their own strong emotions and how to relate to others in positive and adaptive way. Through individual and group work, the clients are able to build skills in relational areas such as saying no, being assertive, negotiating, validating other, balancing priorities, and being fair and honest (Hall & Flanagan, 2014, p. 238). Interpersonal effectiveness allows the client to interact with other group members in a positive learn environment.
Another skill I bring is enthusiasm. Having someone who is enthusiastic and generally excited to be doing what they are doing can change any situation. Some small examples of this a lot of people can relate to is having a teacher that you can tell loves what they are teaching and interacting with their students. I know classes I’ve had with those teachers I loved going to and I interacted a lot more than I would in some of my dull

Interpersonal skills are what social equips an individual making them able to coexist in a work surrounding. This skill may vary but they contribute to one thing which is help an individual be more reliable and work efficient.
The three skills I would like to work on are converting “YOU” statements to “I” statements, Responding to Criticism and Assertive Communication. I wanted to work on these particular skills as I need to be more outspoken at work with my manager and would like to improve my communication with my family and friends since they are the ones I socialize with the most.

Interpersonal Skill Set for Minister is an amazing book full of great wisdom. The book contains many strengths that make it a must read for every minister. The first strength is found within the opening chapters of the book. Social media and technology is a blessing that can do great things for the church, but often times it is seen as an enemy. Many churches and ministers are out of date in the department of technology. Being out of date in this category is not completely bad, but there are many great benefits from technology that these churches are missing out on. This book does a great job at giving these strengths and encouraging ministers to take advantage of the benefits technology.
Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and we all can improve on both of them. In my workforce, at CentraState Hospital, I am an outstanding intern, but can always find room for improvement. Some of the strengths I need improvement on would be my communication skills and my ability to manage more than one task at the same time.
Some of the skills I learned while working is team-working skills. I am pretty much in a environment all the time where I have to coordinate with other people so that everything goes smoothly. One area that I could assert additional attention to is critical thinking. The process of critical thinking is something that applies to all facets of life.
