It was a cold windy night, the leaves were swaying through the cold wind. Billy searched everywhere to find someone who would help him find a place to eat. Until suddenly he wondered upon a man and asked if he knew any good restaurants nearby. The stranger replied, “ down the street on the left there is a nice pizza place.”
I said, “ thank you,” and went on my way. I must have blinked because all of the sudden I saw a bright sign that said,” gingerbread cookies ¢50,” I was a bit suspicious on if I should eat there. I walked towards the window and I could see bright crynthumd, they looked as if they were dancing in the water filled vase and there was a cat asleep by the window seal. I told myself, “it must be a nice welcoming place.”
I found myself opening the door to an older lady in her mid 40’s saying, “ I was starting to worry about you, come in, come in. Your cookies are all ready for you, sit sit.”
I sat down and started to eat the rock hard gingerbread cookies, I also bent down to pet the cat and noticed that it was not alive it was a stuffed cat. The baker sat next to me and smiled and nodded at me. I told her, “ your cookies have a wonderful taste. Did you by any chance stuff your cat? I thought it was a real cat when i walked in.” The old little baker never replied just stared at me and smiled. I also smelt the faint smell of a hospital but I didn't want to tell her that.
…
I finished my cookies and I stood up then the
A refreshing cool breeze blew in from the screen door, it was followed by the aroma of freshly baked cookies. As I got closer and closer to the oven I could practically taste the dough in my mouth, this was the work of my mom. As I took my first bite of the delicious cookie I hear thumping big feet shaking through the house followed by a somewhat loud jolly whistling. Dad was clearly happy to be able to have the luxury of enjoying some delicious cookies.
The cashier looked the newcomer up and down like he was inspecting a new car. Then he spoke “We don’t oblige your kind here.” “Get out before you’re stench scares more regulars away.”
The alleyway was creepy and did not seem right. It smelt like rotted meat, and was not inviting. The alleyway was quiet you could probably hear a pin drop. Then out of nowhere something fell, CRASH! Peeps jumped scared to death and turned around, to see an old grey cat. The cat you could tell was very old, by the way his face drooped, and how his untrimmed claws made a clink sound as he walked. His fur was falling out and there were clumps of dirt stuck to his tail. The cat smiled and slowly walked toward the little bird.
I set down my bags full of party supplies onto the counter, and I walked over to the stairs that lead down into the garage and saw Mr. Francis waddling up the stairs and struggling to keep all the bags in hand. After all of the party supplies were brought upstairs, Mr. Francis and I got right to work. We put out all of the snack trays, blew up balloons just for fun, set up all of the decorations, and made a little snack bar with plastic plates, silverware, snack trays, red solo cups, and four different kinds of soda. Mr. Francis and I got done setting up just in time and before we knew it, there was a knock on the door. Mr. Francis went to welcome my friends in and as soon as he opened the door, I saw Santa Claus’s jolly face and Rudolph’s bright red nose. Santa was dressed in his Sunday best, a knit wool Christmas sweater
When we got home I took a nap on the couch and several hours past.I woke up scared because I was 50 feet tall bigger than the house.I couldn't believe what happend to me.My first thoughts was when I talk to the old lady about the cookies.I remember what she said about these cookies that they will make you grow,I was surprised it really
On a very hot day in the middle of June, my mom and I were traveling to a local supermarket to go get a few groceries. When we finally managed to get all the groceries we needed I started to walk towards the doors to leave when I noticed this cute old lady. She was short and had a narrow, oblong face with angular cheekbones and a pointed chin. I noticed that she was struggling with carrying all of her half dozen bags that were filled with all her items. I felt bad so I decided that I was going to be a generous person and help this lady out. I approached this woman and had asked her if she needed any help with carrying her groceries. The woman replied “oh yes I do, why are you so kind?” I told her that it looked to me that she (you) were having a hard time with your bags. She thanked me nonstop. We started to have a conversation and I asked her what her name was, but she was having a hard time even trying to tell me her name from the look she gave me. She seemed confused and out of place. The lady finally managed to tell me
Melissa and Alex were to busy. so I ran and ran. Then I saw two Little kitten stuck in a tree it, was a small tree so I just reached out and grabbed them and hopefully they can talk, I ask what were their names and the dark brown fur said MY name is Isaiah and my sister is name is Camila, sorry for bothering you. I said it was no big deal, so I took them home with me. When I went home Alex was laying on the front door and Melissa was sleeping, Alex was wondering where I was and when he saw I brought two kittens he was OK with it.So I brought them in Isaiah siad
After Gabe and I saw the house I got up with Gabe and knocked on the door. A family opened the door and told us to come inside. They gave us blankets and gave me hot chocolate. They told us that we can live with them now because I told them that we ran away from home. The next day came along and I smell cookies but with a hint of ginger, I instantly thought of gingerbread cookies. I walked down stairs and I was right there were gingerbread cookies but they were weird they were in the shape of little men and women with icing pants, shirts, and hair.
Five, four, three, two, one . . . BEEP! BEEP! The sound of a faint count down from the oven. I clenched my eyes, not wanting to open them. A large figure opens the fridge slowly and it makes a creaking sound. As it opens a tall woman grabbed the milk carton me and my brother Malcom were in. The woman set us on a warm countertop close to the oven. I saw her cautiously grab a flat pan with it looks like to be cookie dough on it. She set it in the oven carefully. Few minutes later I heard a loud Ding! That's when I knew the cookies were done.
One sunny hot morning I got out of bed . i went into the kitchen to get some food next thing you know my cat jumps on the counter and meows like crazy. Have you ever wanted something so bad you can't take it anymore? Well I have. I wanted a kitten really bad, it was my dream. The house down the street had free kittens. Who wouldn't want a cute, adorable, and most important free kitten? Although the cat that I would receive would actually be about $230 because of all the shots and medical care, but at the time, I didn't even think about that at all. I just wanted a cat of my own. After whimpering for a half hour, my mom agreed. I know that whimpering to get your way is bad but, it worked for me when I was nine. After that age, my mom would ground me if I did that. She said, “The only way you are going to get a cat is if you take responsibility for everything it does.” I was willing to do whatever it takes.
This is the story of how three quarter-sized creatures inspired me to fulfill my life’s dream. My dream is to own an animal sanctuary for endangered reptiles. The turtles I raised as a child helped realize this dream.
“Pets are humanizing. They remind us we have an obligation and responsibility to preserve and nurture and care for all life.” This is a famous quote by the American actor James Cromwell who acted in Star Trek and was the son of John Cromwell. This quote relates to my life when I learned that sometimes pets help us realize that we have a responsibility to this world.
I hate cats, I dislike the way they smell or always want to cuddle and their claws. Everybody has their Monday rituals, sometimes it's coffee or jogging through the park, but mine is a little out of the ordinary. It starts at six in the morning with me walking my 10 cats down Canal Street all the way to Pet Central which is the best place in town to get cat food. I used to despise cats until a tragedy happened and they were put into my care. This is my story about how I became the man on Canal Street with 10 felines.
It was Tuesday, I took the dog for a walk and while i was walking there was this store that was for pets called Pet supplies plus. When i walked in all of the pets were calm and silent when i walked in. This gittar player was playing my favorite song when i was a kid 7 years. There was this woman who had a blue shirt and a name tag the said”Gurtrde” when i said “hi” she said “what do you want kid”. And i said
