One of the most exciting things that I have done in my life is the sport of paintballing in which I played professionally in my home country of Kuwait. Paintballing is like a game of tag in which two teams of six people face each other in an arena with inflatable cover. The objective of the game is to tag out as many people as you can with your paintball gun that has paintballs that explode on impact. In paintballing there is woodstyle, speedball and scenario which varies in whatever arena or location that you are playing in. To me this is the closest that anyone can get to a combat scenario and the feeling that I get from playing the sport gets my heart racing every time making me very excited and happy when I go out with my team to play. When playing woodsball style we are placed in a location with many trees that gives us a in the woods feeling. In woodsball you have to be very smart how you move your team and who has who because some people use camouflage clothing that makes it hard to see and you can get shot very easily without even knowing. In woodsball I like to use a longrange weapon so that I can shoot people from farther away without the risk of pushing up and getting shot and eliminated from the game. I remember one time

In speedball you are placed in a 50 yard turf field with inflatable cover that varies from tall ones and short ones depending on what style you like to play. Speedball goes by very fast because the field is shorter and everyone is placed closer to each other. This is where teamwork comes in as some guys put pressure in the middle and other guys try to go around while the guys in the middle are distracting the opponent. One of my best memories is winning a championship of speedball with my team in Dubai. We went up against the #1 team at the time and getting that win felt great. Til this day I can say that speedball is my favorite style of
Pinball is a fast pace game of physics and skill. With the knowledge of the mechanics and the physics of how the game works it can be played more effectively. Friction, gravity, potential energy, kinetic energy, circuits and momentum are just a few of the aspects of physics apply.
It was a nice and sunny day, with birds chirping and the smell of freshly cut grass. I felt the leather on my baseball glove and the delicious taste of cereal. I’m ready to play some baseball.
Many people don't understand the point in playing baseball. Why would someone swing a stick, hit a ball, and try to get back to where they started before the ball returns? What pleasure is there in that? Why not participate in a sport like wrestling or track where there is an obvious level of individual improvement and therefore pleasure. Well, I play baseball because of the love I have for the sport, and because of the feeling that overwhelms me every time I walk onto a baseball field. When I walk onto a field I am given the desire to better myself not only as an athlete, but also as a person. The thoughts and feelings I get drive me to work hard towards my goals and to be a better person. The most relevant
The history of baseball can be traced back to the early 19th century when people played a baseball-like game with their own rules and homemade equipment. The earliest known mention of baseball in the United States was in 1791 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. An ordinance was declared that banned the playing of the game within 80 yards of the town meeting house. Even though baseball was mentioned back in 1791 it wasn't officially a sport until 1839 when a man named Abner Doubleday invented the game we know and love today as baseball in Cooperstown, New York.
However, Taylor’s appeals to ethos are often strong but not entirely consistent. He holds fun, competition, physical fitness, collaboration and mental challenge as values. He also seeks to address certain criticisms, the two which he claims that opponents of their position commonly site. These are possible gangers and violence of the sport. For the safety issue, Taylor gives strong examples of why paintball can be very safe. However, they stop thinking straight when
Softball has always been my favorite sport. It’s the fast pace of my heart as I’m rounding the bases, fast as lightning, making contact with the corner of the grungy white bases with a heavy coat of red dirt layering the edges, prepared to dive into home base, the sound of the bat making solid compact with the bright, attention grabbing yellow ball, the smell of the dew delicately resting on the fields of green grass, giving everyone a relaxed feeling of being in nature.
I watch a baseball smack right off my bat and look at it fly threw the air like an exotic toucan. I can see the fans in the stand go silent and just watch the ball soar.
The Knickerbocker Base Ball Club was the first of its kind and it made the child’s game of “town ball” into an adult sport that has turned into our nations pastime. The Knickerbocker Club first increased the distance between bases to 90 feet. “ Second, they brought the game an adult sense of order by dividing the field into fair and foul territory, narrowing the hitter’s range to the space between the foul lines and reducing the number of defensive players needed.” Idea, (2). Third, the Knickerbockers got rid of the old rule of throwing the ball at a player to get them out. This made the game safer and enabled them to use a harder ball, which made it a faster sharper game.
The day was perfect to play softball, the bright sun was giving off the heat. I was sitting in the the car moving like crazy as if I was trapped and and was trying to escape. I had the worst butterflies feeling like I was going to throw up my breakfast all over my moms car floor. We pulled in the parking lot in a flash and all you could hear was me breathing heavily. My mom hit the button to the door so i could get out of the car. I got out and the fresh air was really hot. I got very sweaty like we just finished with the state championship game but I believe i was just too nervous.
Running into the gym with my team, knowing it was my last middle school basketball game, but first championship game I felt elated and truly blessed. My knees quivered with anticipation after seeing all the bleachers filled with people. After realizing even the press and other media was in attendance I grasped the moment like a newly elected president at his inauguration. I am warming up doing basketball drills, when I began to look at the flags on the gym wall depicting the history of the basketball team. The years and dates of the last championship game, Historically a championship game had not been won since 2007 . The more I stared at the flags, the more it made me want to win this game and make history in this gym. As the crowd and cheerleaders start to chant, cheer and get loud, I started to feel more comfortable and rowdy more than I had ever felt in any other game that I’ve played. Waiting for the referee to blow the whistle for jumpall to start. I felt my fingertips tapping the side of my leg, which for some reason gives me a sign to myself that I am pumped up and ready to play!
I felt like I could do anything. The moment was extremely surreal. I hadn’t accomplished anything so arduous in my life. The crowd’s cheers were thundering through my body. I had so much adrenaline coursing through my veins that I wasn’t even weary. People were jumping up and down, screaming in victory, and clapping so loud I couldn’t hear myself think. I couldn’t believe that I had just won the State Championship volleyball game.
Aside from being one of the most accessible (and best!) sports out there, many aspects of bowling can be expressed with physics. Achieving maximum power, throwing a hook ball, and getting good pin action can all be broken down into physics issues and represented with equations. I will cover four aspects of bowling that can be explained with physics terms and show you how to use this knowledge to optimize your game.
Volleyball, one of the world's greatest sports. From the hot and muggy gym, to sweat dripping down each players face, volleyball is not for the faint of heart. This sport requires a single-minded desire: to win. It takes more than just teamwork to win. Volleyball has always been one of my favorite sports. I would always meet a new friend anywhere I would go. Believe it or not these situations are how you could meet your life long best friends.
The crowd screamed and surged as they looked up at the gleaming escalator. He descended proudly, nodding approvingly at their expectant and trusting faces. All of their dreams and hopes came down with him, reaching the high point as he stepped off at the very bottom.
When many people think of sports, the topic of physics doesn't always come to mind. They usually don't think about connecting athletics with academics. In reality math, science, and especially physics, tie into every aspect of sports. Sports are a commonality that brings nations together, Soccer, known as football to most of the world, is said to an unspoken language, which unties people from different lands through a passion to play a game. Athletics and sports are made by the people who play, watch, and study them. Without all of the enthusiastic participants, there would be no development, education, and intensity that we all know and love about sports. The one component that reigns over
