Car I always had dreamed of buying my own muscle car in high school. I would shop every day trying to find one that was affordable, and fast. I never could find one until one day while I was at a family gathering my Dad asked his cousin if he had any older cars around the farm that were for sale.
He said, “I have the one for you.”
A 1982 Pontiac Firebird.
“It was not pretty, but it was fast” he said.
A few months past, while we figured out a time to go look at this car. Finally the day came. On the way there I was just imagining this car to look amazing. We arrived and sure enough I got my hopes up, it was an ugly green color. We looked it over and he took me for a ride in the car. During the ride he hit the throttle around the corner and we slid sideways. I was sold, this car was quick. I was going to buy this project car no matter what it took. We loaded the car up on the trailer and gave him $500 and we were headed back home. A few weeks past before we started working on the car. We ordered parts and eventually got it to run better, and we were able to keep the engine cool by adding electric fans. We found a set of used tires to put on it. The tires were not the right offset size, so the rear tires stuck out about two inches on each side. I eventually started to drive it on the streets and all over the place. While working on the car one weekend my dad started calling the car The Firechicken. Eventually my friend made stickers that said Firechicken, and now there is
The day my parents drove into the driveway with a Jeep was one of the most exciting days in my life. Although it would be six long months before I actually had a driver's license, the Jeep represented freedom. Still to this day, I am grateful for the privilege to roll down the top and blast my music. But, I’m still a kid with a desire to one day go from zero to sixty in less than three seconds. The Jeep is enjoyable but I hope one day earn enough money to buy a Dodge Hellcat for many reasons.
The book is named The Car by Gary Paulsen. I’m going to talk about three thing one is what I talked about last time and the second is what’s going on right now and the last is what has changed since last time.
When I was little I used to collect piggy banks. I remember the first one I owned which was pink and made out of plastic. People would ask me what I was saving for and I said college. Since I was 6 I was dreaming of attending the University of Southern California.
As cell phones become more popular, texting while driving is becoming the most widely known cause for car accidents among teens. The alarming rate of incidents where texting is involved is getting more parents worried and warning their children about the danger of texting while driving. Parents are urging the fact that drivers should pay attention to the road and traffic, not their phones. A popular study of 18 to 24 year old drivers showed that 66 percent of them have texted while driving. Since texting while driving is becoming more popular many states are passing a law to ban the use of any cell phone device while in a vehicle. Texting while driving is an important issue that is causing many deaths and those who cause these deaths and
Our issue is that we need a new vehicle because ours was wrecked and the rental car we were given to use after the wreck by the insurance company is about to expire, leaving us no mode of transportation. We are looking into buying a used vehicle from an advertisement in the local paper. We weren’t sure if the vehicle was still available so we have called the owner and inquired. We do not know who we are buying the car from but we are interested in purchasing the Volkswagen Jetta because of the advertisement in our local newspaper. Just from reading the car ad; we deem that the car fits all our needs and we need to get in touch with the owner fast in order to make sure they don’t sell it to someone else.
When I was younger, I really liked cars. I would go out to my dad's shop when he was working on things. My dad had a dark blue 1995 Ford F-250, he named it Old Blue. We always took it to my grandparent's house. On the way there we would go down a road with a lot of hills. My dad would go fast and act like we were jumping the hills. Eventually, we had to sell Old Blue because my dad blew the motor. My dad would also take me to weekend car shows and truck pulls. Sometimes at the car shows, we waited for the races. We went to a lot of truck pulls too. My dad would always talk to me about what the trucks were, and why they were so loud. He would make fun of the Chevy trucks when they did bad, and he would say “Should have bought a Dodge.”
The Beginning - When I was sixteen years I did not expect a car from my parents. Both my parents never got a car from their parents. I expected to have me drive the minivan until Mom didn’t want it anymore and it’d become mine. And it was mine, for a while. I hated every minute of it. I worked two jobs during that year of high school to get my own car; one as a lifeguard and the other with a landscaping company. I saved my money until had a couple thousand dollars in my bank account. I started looking online for a set of wheels that didn’t have giant sliding doors on the side.
It's better to dream big you than to be realistic because you can do something you would like then something you wouldn't ,you can also be your own boss then work for someone else .The football players that played in the NFL now never just wished to become, they worked for it..Its better to dream and ,accomplish then to never dream at all.
After all my hard work my Grandfather ended up keeping his end of the deal and gave me the car. So after wasting my money on this car I finally got to take my very own car to a car show. My first car show I took it to was the Rod Knocker Car Club’s last car show of the year in at Rural King’s parking lot, and won first place for peoples choice car. But none of this wouldn’t have happened if my dad had never taken me to any car
It was a cold December night shortly after dusk, a likely setting for an event that would prove to be life altering. As fate would have it, this would be the night that I lost the material possession that truly meant the most to me. I would lose the one thing that gave me much pride and joy and excitement. I often think back and liken us to a newlywed couple, for we had only been together for 18 months and were still very much honeymooning. It was a night, a moment, that even now scoffs and mocks me as I travel thither and yonder with her replacement. But she can never be truly replaced and to call my current fix a replacement seems like a sort of blasphemy.
You have agreed to buy a new Subaru from a dealer. The down payment you will need to make on the new car is $9,400, which lets you take out a loan with manageable (but steep) monthly payments. You are low on ready cash, so if you can't come up with the down payment by selling your Volkswagen Jetta, you will have to borrow it at prime plus 5% interest. You are supposed to pick up the Subaru first thing tomorrow morning, so you want to sell the Jetta today.
The automobile has had a tremendous impact on society and the environment since its development in the beginning of the 20th century. Today, there are over 500 million motor vehicles on the earth. The automobile's efficiency, style, and performance have changed over the years, but there is one thing that has not - the pollution the automobile generates. Because of the pollution, people find themselves asking whether this technology has helped our society or hurt it. Should the consequences of the automobile be cause to eliminate it? Or should science develop technology to eliminate the pollution caused by the car?
Since I was a child, I have always dreamed I could have a car which belongs to me. I still remembered when I was four years old, my parents gave me a remote control car as my birthday gift. After that day I started to fall in love with cars.
I could feel the cold brisk air brushing up against my skin as I ventured through the darkness in this vacant parking lot on a dreary Sunday night in November. I could see a car in the distance and began to approach it. The car appeared to be an old rusted out vehicle with extremely tinted windows that were dark like death. As I looked inside the vehicle I noticed that the car was as clean as a crystal. Not a speck of dust could be found on the interior and the floor mats were completely spotless. It was as if the vehicle had never been driven before. I then put my hand on the door and proceeded to step inside of the vehicle. As I did so I felt a sensation through my whole body that made me tingle. It was an unwelcoming sensation as if I was entering a whole new world. As I sat down there's was a smell, a sheer clean smell similar to that of a fresh load of laundry. Goosebumps came about all over my body as adrenaline rushed through my veins. I put my hands on the steering wheel and my mind took me into another dimension. Taking a glance in the rearview mirror I could see a mysterious person approaching the vehicle. As I examined the person I came to the conclusion that this must be the owner of the vehicle. I noticed they were dressed in all black and carrying what seemed to be a grocery bag of some sort. In panic, I got out of the car and looked at what appeared to be a male figure. The man was very masculine and tall. His mere presence was enough to strike fear into
Whether it’s a lifted truck running a hemi or a suped up WRX, your dream car embodies what you desire, the life you’d like to live, and the kind of person you’d like to be. Your real car embodies what you have, the life you live, and the kind of person you are.
