It was a beautiful sunny day and my family and I were driving on the expressway. We were in my Dad’s blue truck with the fifth wheel behind us. We had the windows down in the amazing 80 degree weather. We were around our exit, Myrtle Beach! I was so excited for the trip and couldn’t wait to put my foot in the blue, cold, salt water. After the like 15 hour drive we had just suffered through I was expecting a pretty great trip. We drove down the road and saw all of the familiar places like the Tanger mall, surf shops, Krispy Kreme, and even more of our favorite restaurants. I started to recognize the details that just seemed to tell us we made it to our destination. Like the palm trees, warm weather, beach smell, and of course what we …show more content…
After we finished cleaning up and getting organized we hopped in the car for about fifteen minutes. We were on our way to the store or more specifically our favorite store ever Costco. We went there to get everything we would need for the week. Like food, swimming supplies, and sand castle equipment. When we were in the store we couldn 't find this fifth wheel connecter thing for our sewer but we needed it. We ended up going on this big wild goose chase and we still couldn’t find it anywhere. My Dad called Myrtle Beach Travel Park and they ended up having it there. After we had finished shopping we went to a mexican restaurant we usually go to. When I get really hungry I like need food that second or I get sick, we call that a “food panic”. So I was having a food panic and was like really hungry. I really like the restaurant because of the chips. I love the chips at mexican restaurants. For my main meal I got the best cheese quesadilla ever. The quesadilla was so cheesy that the cheese would stretch forever, there was this seasoning on it that made it really spicy. Overall the meal was really tasty. As we were leaving we saw a sign for a frosty on sale for 1 dollar. We went into Wendy’s and waited in line forever, or what seemed like it. When we finally got our frosty’s they were so good. I got chocolate and my sister, Mara got vanilla. I love chocolate anything and everything. The frosty’s
After Wendy's I went home and on the way home I fell asleep. The next day my friends came back to my house and had a cookout after the cookout Daniel,Miguel & me went to the Rec and then we went
Then we went back to my aunt’s place and got ready to do some shopping for our new apartment. My aunt drove us to Walmart and then took us to Macy’s. I was amazed to see size of Walmart the first time. Also it
favorite place to eat in the world. Then we went to the Eiffel Tower obviously not the real one in Paris but it was great! My mom felt a little
Last summer me and my family went to valleyfair. We got up really early because we had to drive to shakopee. It was a long drive and i fell asleep in the car. I hate long cars rides because they are always so boring, anyways when we got there we had to go through security and then go and get our tickets and wristbands. When we got in there we went on some rides and got food. All i ate that day was panda express. And i went on the wild thing and steel venom.
On second day of break (Sunday) we made the terrible 7-hour drive to Flagstaff. We just got unpacked and settled in. In the morning, we went out to eat at Pita Jungle. After that, we got doughnuts that were delicious!! I got a cookie doughnut, my brother got a carnival doughnut, and my dad got a bacon crumble doughnut…? (I hate bacon :) There was 3 more for my mom, Papa and Gaga, but I forgot what those were…
the rain falling , it was an amazing day. Also ,we went to the clear water beach , it was one of the
When it was midnight, we loaded the car and drove through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama. We stopped at a few places to grab food or gas. It was a long time, but it was worth it when we finally reached our condo. It was beautiful! We went to the balcony to see the ocean and it was crystal clear. The beach wasn’t crowded either. We hurried to put on bathing suits and sunscreen. Then we walked downstairs to the beach. The sand was warm and felt great. My sister’s and I ran to the water and
My favorite restaurant was called Mother’s it was a buffet kind of restaurant but it was good food, plus they gave me a whole lot of it. Mother also had traditional Southern Food like Red Beans and rice and Gumbo. The next place we went, I forgot the name of it, but they sod poleboys (huge sandwiches) I think I spelled it wrong but they were good too. The last place we went to was some kind a pastry/dessert place and they had mint ice cream so it was good too.
Picture a beautiful city surrounded by tall skyscrapers soaring into the clouds and the beautiful statue of liberty standing still on the water. You walk down the street passing hundreds of little shops and restaurants, all the while you are taken a back by the breathtaking beauty of the city that you are gazing upon. Now picture laying on the beach at sunset listening to the ocean waves. The air is crisp and the smell of saltwater is bitter sweet. The locations I’m describing are New York City and Myrtle Beach. I have 2500 dollars to take on vacation to one of these destinations and I am comparing and contrasting the two. I will be considering the cost of travel, food, hotel, and also activity and
I quickly changed into comfortable clothes and woke my brother up (which probably took five minutes) and ate breakfast. I hopped into our rental car, which was presumably small. Three layers of soft, feathered blankets over me, and probably holding onto five different head pillows. “I can’t believe we get to go to South Padre Island for three days!” I yelled to my family. It takes about eight hours to arrive at our hotel, so I definitely got carsick. The good news was that we got to eat fast food! Andrew and I got to sleep a lot while the parents got to drive. We arrived after 7 pm to our hotel. Then, we grabbed our heavy, bulky, luggage and brought them to our room to the 2nd floor. After we unpacked, we were exhausted and all but we still had the stamina to go down to the beach and take a view on the glazing ocean water. It looked very delicate like a clear foil was laid on top of the water. I doused my feet in the cool, numb water. While digging my hands deep in the soft, cushy, sand, I could feel all the grains go
The first thing I did this summer was my family and I went to Myrtle beach South Carolina. The first thing we did there were we went to this restaurant called River Side. Next we had to wait for my aunt to get there so we can get our apartment. Once my cousins and aunt got there we got our room key so we got into our apartment. Then we went to unpack all the cars and decided what room each person someone would sleep in. After that we went to eat lunch and we almost got lost. The next night we went to a boardwalk right by the hotel. And then on Wednesday we went back with our cousins this time and found a store called the stupid factory. It had funny shirts in there and stuffed animals. On Thursday it was 100 degrees,
I was with my dad, my stepmom, and my cousin, Corina. It was like twelve o’clock when we got there, so that was early for the beaches. When we got to the beach, we all ran to the water, right when my foot hit the sand it felt like burning rocks melting into my feet. I jumped back and put on my sandals, then went back on the sand; it felt a lot better that time. Later on the waves were getting bigger and me and my cousin went to go run at them. When we got further in the water, a big wave picked us up and threw us back on shore. That feeling was the best feeling
2 lengthy hours later we arrived in the Dells. I was really nice to get out and stretch my legs after the long drive. One of the first things we did was we went to Walmart to get supplies and snacks. The next day we visited one of the largest waterparks in the entire United States, Noah’s Ark. There were a boat load of extremely entertaining water slides at this park. Black Anaconda was my favorite slide in the whole park. This fascinating ride was shockingly fast and had full of hills. When we got back from the water park, we went to eat at a restaurant on the Wisconsin Dells Strip. We ate an immense meal at MACS. This unreal restaurant was a macaroni shop. They had an endless amount of specialty dishes. I had their stunning classic dish and it was out of this world. After dinner we went shopping at all the stores on the Strip. While we were shopping we stopped at a fudge shop. The employees were making brand new chocolate in the front window. This fudge was incredibly rich and was
This was the day I went parasailing for the first time! I have always wanted to go and now I finally got the chance. Of course, we had to wait in an incredibly long line, but Dairy Queen fixed the problem. After waiting about 30 minutes it was my aunt and I’s turn to go on the boat that would take us out to parasail. A few miles out into the open ocean later, and we arrived at a bigger boat that held the parasails. The clicks of the buckles around my waist boosted my adrenaline even higher than it already was. 3, 2, 1, goodbye! Off we went, the wind catching our parasail and gliding us up further and further in the air. Now, after getting up as high as 800 feet above the water, I got a little nervous. I thought we would be sitting on more of a seat, but all we were placed on were seat belts! Nevertheless, the views were breathtaking. I could see so much of Fort Myers and so much ocean below me. I wanted the experience to last longer than 7
