The second place I went to was Olive Garden. My uncle and his family from New Jersey decided to visit us and as a family get together, we arranged a dinner date at the Italian chain restaurant Olive Garden. To some, Olive Garden is fancy while to others it’s casual. Olive Garden has a different approach than the fast-food restaurants. First, each plate was around 15 dollars, the cost of both my lunch and sister’s lunch from Chick-fil-A. Also, Olive Garden promotes dining in and promotes a family friendly atmosphere. The restaurant wasn’t silent, as people chattered with one another, but it wasn’t too loud like a cafeteria. I went dressed in jeans, flats, and a simple blouse. The men and boys in my family all wore jeans and either plain tees or button downs. The women and girls in my family all wore jeans, nice blouses, and either flats, sandals, or low heels. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be dressed somewhat similar, in clothes that were informal but not too casual. There was a couple, however, that was on a date and were dressed more formally. The woman was wearing a simple, little black dress and her partner was wearing a button down shirt with slacks. Their choice to dress up could not as much be influenced by the restaurant but more so by the person they’re with and the occasion, whether it be something like an anniversary dinner or first date. The service was great and convenient as we had a waitress take our order, bring us drinks and food, and clean up
Olive Garden is a family friendly restaurant that specializes in Italian-American dishes, and is well known for their soup, salad, and breadsticks. My family and I ate dinner at Olive Garden in Lafayette, Indiana. The criteria used to rate our experience was the flavor, appearance, and healthfulness of the food, the prompt and efficiency of the service, the price of the meal, and the lighting and decor of the atmosphere. When it comes to the best service, food, price, and atmosphere Olive Garden excels and continues to please their customers.

When I arrived to the restaurant I immediately noticed several social norms that everyone at the establishment was following. The customers and the staff were well dressed, and everyone was conducting himself or
When going out to eat, we don’t observe the workers of the restaurant we’re at. We become focused on our friends, our order, and even the people around the restaurant. Sure we talk with the server or smile at an employee when eye contact is made, but we never really observe how the community in the restaurants we go to are like. I want people to be informed that in order for the restaurant to be great, it all starts with its workers. These blue collar workers are the shadows when it comes to restaurant research, however they are more interesting than one would usually think. To allow people to gain more knowledge on this, I decided to do my ethnographic research on the community of restaurant workers, more specifically the community within the restaurant Sweet Tomatoes. I have been part of the community for almost three years and have been able to interact with all kinds of people that have worked there. I want people to know what goes on behind the kitchen doors and understand how the workers interact when the environment becomes stressful or relaxed, so they understand how the setting influences the employees.
When stepping into Olive Garden, you are transported to Italy. The atmosphere is friendly. Everyone who walks into the restaurant immediately feels like they are part of the family. There is music playing in the background to make you feel welcome. Also, wine is offered to the adults and
Food Inc. opens in an American supermarket and draws attention to the unnatural nature of year-round tomatoes and boneless meat. It pulls aside the curtain that is concealing the truth about food from the consumer. After the brief intro, the movie shifts its focus to the topic of fast food and its impact on the meat industries. Fast food virtually started with McDonald’s. When they decided to simplify their menu and hire employees that repeated one task over and over for minimum wage, the result was the fast food phenomenon that swept the United States, and then the world. Today, McDonald’s is the largest purchaser of beef and potatoes in the United States, and is one of the largest purchasers of pork, chicken, tomatoes, and apples. Though
Every Friday my coworker, Kayleigh, and I always go and eat at Waffle House. It became a tradition and my aunt works there so it’s a welcoming environment. Usually after eating dinner we will go to Walmart where we always end up spending money. Going out every Friday gives us time to just relax and gossip after work. Since we are going right after work, we always have our hideous, yellow KOA shirts on. Sometimes people will recognize us from work and start conversations about the campground. I am honestly not a very outgoing person, so I try to avoid these conversations as much as possible. There was one Friday that topped all the rest. This is an experience that I will never be able to forget.
As part of the experience, more attentive service is given to the patrons, whereby a waitress and chef is designated for each party. Since there are only two tables - with each table serving up to eight patrons at a time - the waitress and chef are not overwhelmed. The direct attention given to the patrons by the chefs is savored by patrons; Rocky prides the company’s extensive three-year formal
My favorite food is chicken fettuccini pasta. I prefer this dish because of the great taste. It consists of a magnificent sauce, tender chicken, and mixed vegetables. This blend of ingredients contributes the flavor, texture, and appearances of the pasta.
Back when I was only five years old, pizza was always one of my favorite food in my life.
Once I stepped inside the restaurant I automatically could hear the music playing at a moderate level and the laughter of the customers. Right off the back the restaurant's ambiance had a positive vibe. Mindful, it was a Saturday late afternoon. Mary Jane Burger and Brew is a local restaurant trying to stay true to its past. The granddaughter of the original owner now runs the place with the intention of serving good quality food where the ingredients are fresh, mouth watering, and surely not filled with antibiotics and all that other genetically modified elements found in processed foods. The vintage, rustic looking place, holds a small town atmosphere with a big taste.
Here is a scenario countless Biola students can relate to: It is the end of your longest day of classes. Your pile of homework is waiting to be worked on but you would rather go out and socialize. You notice how your eyes begin to droop from drowsiness and how parched you long for a refreshing drink. It seems as if you cannot find a perfect compromise for school work, relaxation, and your social life. Luckily there is a location on campus where these tasks can coincide: Heritage Cafe. Ultimately the cafe is for buying coffee and going on with the rest of the day, right? While most consider this as true, there is a reason why there are tables, chairs, wifi, decor, music, and more throughout the cafe. Heritage provides a relaxing, calm environment, reminiscent of a petri dish that encourages community to thrive.
I was about watch my favorite show on Netflix and I decided to order some pizza. I called up my local pizza place. I sat down and prepared to wait, an hour goes by, and I start to get impatient. The only way from the town to my neighborhood is a single long road that is surrounded by long weeds and trees. So my neighborhood is pretty isolated from the world, but this is not the first time I’ve ordered from this pizza place which I have had problems before. But my thoughts were interrupted by a loud pounding on my door, I instantly sit up and grab the ten dollar bill to pay for the pizza.
