My eyes shift over to look back at the massive line behind me noting that everyone appears so eager to be in the position where I am, at the start of the ride. The lifeguard’s voice rises in pitch, “Rule #3 - Never! Ever! Exit the t...”, my focus shifts back to the forest where i can see a faint outline of a nest. The bird flaps its wings and take off magestivly. I look at the clock and I notice that there is 5 seconds remaining. “GO!!” I get pushed into the slide before the timer hits zero. Will I crash into the previous rider? What happened to safety first!? While I am sliding down the twists and turns of the slide, I feel certain that I am doing everything I was told not to do while I was having the rules shouted at me. I see a light at the end of the tunnel and shock jolts my system as I slam face first into the pool
Roller coasters are one of the most popular rides when you go to an amusement park with everybody in your family. Why are they so scary for some people while for others it is just another adrenaline rush? Roller Coasters are one of the most complicated rides to build and to actually ride. There are some people who just have fun building something to have a quick adrenaline rush before going to work. Roller coasters have some of the most interesting design and history; they have become one of the world’s famous rides at every amusement park.
You wait in line for what seems like forever and finally you take your seat. You pull the paddle bars so they fit snug against your shoulders. You reach the top and then comes the big drop. You start screaming or if you're daring you put your hands up and enjoy the ride. I'm of course speaking of roller coasters. Today I'm going to go over the history, the different types of roller coasters, the mechanics, and the most important part, safety of roller coasters.
After we passed the security we walked in to go to the Mind Eraser and it was really packed. We waited in line for 1 hour and it finally was our turn.We got seated and buckled our seatbelt for the roller coaster. After we got seated the instructors checked everyone seat belts then pushed the button to start. And there we went slowly up the the track. As soon as we got to the top the rooler coaster came to a complete stop.
When we got to the park, my brother and sister went directly to one of the highest roller coasters. They were so pumped up while I was terrified to death. After thinking it through, I decided to skip the first ride and maybe all the other ones too. They just papered so gigantic, noisy and intimidating like a beast.
My heart pounded as my feet gradually left the safety of the grounds and began its ascent on a ladder that rattled on every step. Sweat formed in the palms of my hands while my gaze remained transfixed to the ground. In my mind’s eye, I envisioned myself landing with a splat on the ground. This was my first time at White Water, Six Flags. At first, when my cousins invited me to the trip, I presumed that in the worst case scenario, I would face a roller coaster; I can stomach that as long as there were seat
I remember a day when I was walking in the Six Flags theme park in Texas with my best friend. The smell of popcorn and candy and the feeling of excitement from the little kids coming for the first time with the grandparents just enjoying the family experience. We were walking down the winding stone pathways, waiting for our next adventure at every turn. Trying not to leave our parents behind, we ran ahead enough to be in eyesight, but we were going at our own pace. He and I stood amazed at the sight of the gigantic rides as their shadows were cast down over us. The mini-shops and food stand would attract our little noses at the sight and smell of every peculiar food and trinket imaginable. My Friend, Rhett, suggested we go try a roller coaster. At first, I thought he was just joking around trying to scare me. I asked him what he really wanted to do and after that I realized that he wasn’t joking.
All I hear as i'm going down is ;Grunt, gorge! Plop,Smack,Splash. The slide throws me out and i'm now in an gigantic potbelly. That's when I caught up to my other friends. It felt good for a second but then,Sizzle,Fizz,Rumble.Awwwwww,it burns! It felt even worst than the lava in the restaurant. I sat there for 3/4 hours of burning, disintegrating with some of me over here, and other parts over there. Then finally it opens up and I am push out of the gigantic potbelly into an crazy fun roller coaster.
In a park near you very soon a roller coaster will be drawing near...furthermore, not only is there a roller coaster that has never been seen before but also the most magnificent coaster that you've seen. The Looper...The Looper is one of the fastest roller coasters in all of Hershey Park. It speeds in excess of 70 miles per hour. When you are riding The Looper you will feel countless different feelings. As a matter of fact, you will feel not only ecstatic and delighted but also thrill and suspense. Not to mention that as the experience of the unique exhilarating , unforgettable thrills comes to an end, you will surely feel mourning. Be that as it may, you always have the privilege to jump back in line and do it all over again. Riders will feel the anxious anticipation as they wait in line. Not to mention, the force of the g forces as the train screams by the other rides nearby. You will experience pure speed and adrenaline as your heart starts racing as the train accelerates before plunging down
Roller coasters have always peaked my interest from start to finish, from the building anticipation of waiting to board to the knots in your stomach as you are exiting, from the slow start to the fast ending, the excitement combined with things constantly changing.
What do you think about when you're on a roller coaster? Do you ever think how you're being pulled up this huge hill or down the hill?
Multiple loops and multiple hills finally lead to the average speed of the ride. Then, the big moment of the ride, takes place at the end, and you’ll need to buckle up and ride it to find out it what it is because I am not going to spoil it. You will experience freefall and terminal velocity at this point on the ride. Terminal velocity is the highest velocity attainable by an object as it falls through air. You will exit out of this water ride to the left, as you are now on the other side of the park. The best part about this is, this ride saves you great deal of time if you have plans to walk to the other side of the park because this gets you there in under 2 minutes. Your legs also won’t be overtaxed and you will be ready to go for your next adventure. The sailboats continue to ride along back to the front of the ride, so others waiting in line can enjoy it just as much as you did. Throughout the attraction, there will be various scenes from the actual movie “IT.” If you have seen the movie, you will be able to relate to these scenes and feel the legitimacy of this ride. Even if you haven’t seen the movie, you will witness these scenes, and they will send chills down your spine. Also, there is no height restriction for
Individuals love to go to the amusement parks and try out the rides that are available. The most common and thrilling ride is the roller coaster. An amusement park is not an amusement park if it does not contain a roller coaster. What makes these roller coasters so fun that every amuse parks has one. A lot of people would say it is their extreme high speeds that makes it very exciting. That is a valid answer, but it is the wrong answer. The speed has nothing to do with the excitement. It is more than likely that most people travel faster on their ride along the highway on the way to the amusement park than they would in a roller coaster. Basically the thrill all comes from the acceleration and the feeling of weightlessness that they
The night before we began our journey to Orlando, I didn’t get much sleep. My eyes were wide open like an owl most of the night, tossing and turning under my cloudy soft comforter thinking about what awaited me the next 24 hours. I have always been interested about what it would be like to go on a roller coaster, but I hated the feeling of weightlessness like a balloon. I even hated going on elevators, just the thought of all that force sent a shivering sensation throughout my body that made me agonizingly uncomfortable. Nevertheless, there was a roaring lion fearlessness within me that wanted to indulge on this endeavor. In the morning we pack the family SUV as if we were sardines in a can and headed out to Islands of Adventure.
I closed my eyes as the ride ascended from the platform and came to a stop at the peak. I opened my eyes to nothing but the skyline. I said,” Guys if I survive this I’m going to kill you all.” The moment of truth was upon me now. The Coaster was at the mercy of gravity as we descended the massive drop. In the split second I had before we fell off the earth I knew there was nothing I could do to stop ride. As I
