"There are those who say fate is something beyond our authorization. That destiny is not our own, but I know better. Our fate lives within us, you only have to be brave enough to see it." - Merida. Fate and destiny are known to be things that happen to us without us being able to choose or being able to stop it. These things are something that is foreordained for us before we are even born. I believe that we are allowed to choose your own fate and what happens to us. Some people believe that our destiny is chosen for us and that we can't change it; this is not true and we can choose our own fate and or destiny. Destiny is something that we choose for ourselves. In the book "Into the Wild" he chose his own fate; it may not have ended in the way he had wanted it to, but he did what he wanted to do. The world's biggest myth is that at some point we lose the option to control our fate. This is not true, because we are always in control and can choose anything that we want. Some people may be in a hostile relationship that they want to get out of. This was not something that was chosen for them, but the way they handle the situation is what decides their fate. In the story Sports Gene it is talking about a young man named Thomas who was a basketball player and got into the art of high jumping because of a dare.
