To BYU Admissions, It is with both respect and honor that I submit this letter of recommendation on behalf of Diana Nielson. As one of my junior AP level English students, Diana excelled in both reading and writing. Her determined persistance led to academic success both within and without the classroom. During classroom discussions and activties, Diana was an pro-active participant. Oftentimes she would linger after class in order to discuss high-minded themes and perspectives found within a studied text. Other sutdents looked to Diana to contribute sui generis instghts and perspectives on an idea. I’ll always remember Diana’s open and respectful willingness to express her beliefs in a way that was neither condescending nor preachy
She and her father prove they are dynamic characters because they both thought of Diana as a troublemaker and a monster at first, but now they think of her as a sweet, pretty, and shy girl. They continue to progress that way of thinking throughout the story, and keep thinking the nice things. Diana also begins to think of Lissa of a nice friend, rather than a snob like she thought in the beginning. Therefore making them round characters.
Nicole Woods was contacted and arrested while driving a confirmed stolen vehicle, KCSO C17030152, a 1999 gold Toyota Camry WA/BCW7886 - VIN-JT2BG22K3X0351101. Post Miranda and incident to arrest, Woods stated that she wanted to speak with police. Woods stated that her friend, "Donnie", gave her the vehicle to use. Woods stated that Donnie has been in possession of the vehicle for over a month, which is contrary to the KCSO report, which indicates that vehicle was listed as stolen on 6-18-2017. Additonally, a shaved key was located in the ignition of the vehicle, which Woods stated she used to start the vehicle. I later removed the shave key and noticed that it was heavily shaved down on boths sides, to the point where it was almost smooth without
“She talked endlessly of getting away from England, mainly because of the treatment that she received at the hands of the newspapers. I don't think she ever understood why her genuinely good intentions were sneered at by the media, why there appeared to be a permanent quest on their behalf to bring her down. It is baffling.” Here he shows how the papers tainted Diana with lie and remarks on her good intentions. "My own and only explanation is that genuine goodness is threatening to those at the opposite end of the moral spectrum. It is a point to remember that of all the ironies about Diana, perhaps the greatest was this - a girl given the name of the ancient goddess of hunting was, in the end, the most hunted person of the modern age.” He shows the anguish Diana felt at the hand of the media and demonstrates that the unethical press is the only one who had a disdain for
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Victoria Williams.
It is my pleasure to write on behalf of Hannah Turner, who is applying to the Ph.D. Program of Counseling Psychology at Ball State University. I have been an Honors Thesis advisor to Hannah as well an undergraduate professor. Hannah has proven to be an enthusiastic and devoted student as she earned an “A” in all of the courses she was enrolled with me, Applied Statistics and Intro to Research, Abnormal Psychology, and Capstone: Psychological Issues in Youth. She was attentive in class, prepared, submitted well-written and thoughtful assignments, and participated in meaningful ways. Hannah performed exceptionally well in her academics. She was able to join three academic honor societies (Psi Chi, Alpha Chi, and Psi Eta Sigma) and made the Dean’s every semester she attended she attended. Attaining a 3.96 overall GPA
The photo shown above one of Diane Arbus’s most recognizable images “Identical Twins” taken in 1967 is a portrait of two twin sisters. The irony in this photo and creativity within is by putting these two identical sisters together in the same frame, we begin to notice everything that is different between them. The outfits of both sisters are identical wearing dark corduroy dresses with white collars and cuff, even their white tights and white headbands, used to give them identical hair styles (Nikolova). Putting these two in the same frame with the same exact pose with their hands down by their waists, it is obvious their similarities are supposed to be emphasized.
She was said to be a stereotype for her whole family during her life. Diana never let anyone down when she saw someone in need and
that she was forced to endevour set the stage for who she bacame later in life.
Princess or not, I believe in the concept of respect. To earn my respect, one must be selfless. One must also be determined to accomplish their goals. Princess Diana is the epitome of these ideals.
We need more Princess Diana’s in our world, especially in our society today. Now days most people are involved in gangs, participate with dealing illegal drugs, or even killing rampages. Princess Diana was an influential person because she would put others before herself; help those who are in need of medical assistance, and even those who have had an abusive relationship.
Princess Diana was always trying new things and helping those in need. She trusted her own judgment on many things. After her divorce from Prince Charles, she had to reinvent her life
During Thursday’s math workshop we examined two different patterns of equal groups. Students were to examine and discuss what they noticed about the patterns and how these patterns were related to our discussions prior to Thursday. I started the lesson with a story about my trip to Target to buy cupcakes for the class, I looked out on the carpet students immediately became engaged. All students were tracking me, sitting in STAR and locked in, I was ready to roll. As I began to share details about my trip to Target I saw many hands go up. As I told the story I called on a few friends,“Ms. Whitby did you buy anything else at Target? What flavors were the cupcakes?” I was glad to see that students were so interested in the story but nervous to see how the discussion would go. Before the discussion began I let students know this might be a challenging task but I wanted them to be persistent but what did that mean? Students participated in a turn and talk to share what they believed persistence meant and one student made a huge connect to one of our core values, hardworking. She is one of the higher performing students in the class and also a leader. When students saw her make this connection they wanted to know more about what this word meant. As Costa and Kallick (2009) state use of vocabulary is so important. I wanted persistence to be attached to a tangible word or phrase, which Costa and Kallick
Diana’s role is to perform the ceremonial and official duties of the Head of State, including representing Britain to the rest of the world. She holds speeches about England in the places she visits during her period as a Princess. Next, Diana must provide a focus of the United Kingdom. Princess of Wales supports her citizens in time of celebration or tragedy. It is as if she is closer or more united with her people. Princess of Wales also has the role in providing a sense of stability and continuity in times of social or political change. By this, I mean that when times are changing rapidly in the nation even in a good way she still keeps the framework of her nation. Diana Spencer is able to recognize success and achievement in a personal way. These include honors, awards, visits, patronage, and sponsorship. The Princess honors individuals for public service or outstanding achievement. In addition, she might invite certain people to parties as a thank you for their service to their community. Sometimes, the Princess of Wales gives gifts or personal greetings/congratulations for 100th birthdays or wedding anniversaries. The Princess also supports service to others, through close relationships with the voluntary and charitable sector. She encourages others to participate in service for community and environment around you. Diana’s royal duty, however, was cut short because her
Diana’s life seemed like a charmed one. She was the daughter of nobility chosen to marry the Prince of England. “Diana, Princess of Wales, 1961–97, was wife of Charles, Prince of Wales, heir to the British throne. The daughter of the 8th Earl Spencer, Lady Diana Frances Spencer was a kindergarten teacher in London before her 1981 marriage to Charles” (Princess of Wales, Diana). Diana was chosen specifically for her youth and beauty so that she could produce attractive and healthy offspring for the British monarchy. They needed a male heir and a spare. She delivered on her end of the deal when William was born in 1982, and Harry, in 1994 (Princess of Wales, Diana). Diana was supposed to do whatever she was told by the royal family, and produce sons. Her personal happiness was not a factor. Her husband had an ongoing affair with his long time love Camilla Parker-Bowles during most of his marriage to Diana. They fought constantly, and it didn’t help that she often stole the spotlight with her effortless grace and beauty.
Princess Diana was the most cherished and beloved royal family member of all time. Many may think this was because of her elegance and beauty; after all, she was a fashion icon. However, her vulnerability was the source of her charm. She connected with ordinary people because she dealt with a lifetime of struggles, which she overcame briefly before her death at the young age of thirty-six.
