Difference Between Real And Fake Friendships

Friendships change over time. Some people stay your friends forever others are only temporary. This essay shows how my friendships have changed between Elementary school and Middle school, between middle and high school, and how some have stayed the same over the course of my education.

During the novel “Purple Hibiscus”, we witness the transformation of Kambili Achike from a silenced, repressed and wary girl into a more confident, mature and happy young woman. Authentic and genuine friendships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians are a powerful symbol of reconciliation for all Australians. While creating these friendships can be challenging, the benefits they provide outweigh the struggles. The largest of these challenges being racial discrimination towards Indigenous Australians. As there are many definitions for the word friendship, everyone has their own personal definition of what a real friendship is. My personal definition of friendship is someone who will be there no matter what the circumstances are. Also, a real friendship should have no judgment, trust, and equal effort. I would define a friend as someone who is loyal, dependable, and always there in a time of need. However, friendship differs between people. For example, the friendship between someone and their parents would be different with someone their own age. A friendship can exist between best friends, friends, acquaintances, lovers, children, parents, siblings, and much more. However, all of these types of friendships are different.

There are many qualities to be found in a good friend. Whether it’s kindness, charisma, or comedic ability, friends can vary immensely, and anyone has the potential to classify as a good friend.

An acquaintance is not automatically considered a friend. Just because you know someone does not mean there is an instant friendship.This does not mean that an acquaintance cannot change into a valued friendship.
