Hero is a person that helps and gives something to the world in his own way, supports and worries about people or things. Someone that has the courage to do something very special and unique, that other people normally don’t do. A hero is not just a person who save lives, a hero can also be a person who simply likes to help others and respects them. A hero tries to do and give his very best. In this essay comparing and construct between James Harrison and Chen Si, different situations that led them to become heroes, similarities between them will be discussed. Both of Chen si and James Harrison made several heroic efforts to save people. Harrison donated blood to the sick and Chen Si saved many humans lives. Because Harrison has an antibody in his blood that helps cure severe anemia, he was able to save countless number of babies dying from this disease. His blood was considered very special. Therefore, he was given insurance to his life that counts to one million Australian dollars. When he was 14, James needed and received so much blood going through a chest surgery. As a result, once he turned 18 he made a promise to donate blood to people and save their lives just like his own was saved that day. While those were the results Harrison faced. Chen Si have also been through a lot. “Chen Si watched over the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge every weekend”(Paul Mooney, 2008). Consequently, he was able to save 99 lives so far. Because his wife does not approve of the time he spends on that bridge, “his burden grows each time he saves a new life”.(Mail Foreign Service,2010) . Chen Si did not own enough money to give shelter or help those he’s saved from suicide. Hence, he brought them back to his own
