The three most practiced monotheistic religions- Christianity, Judaism, and Islam- share a belief in one singular God. Each have many similarities -like believing in one God and following sacred texts- as well as differences, such as different holidays and rituals. Although these three religions share similarities, there are more differences between them. Christianity is a religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ through the holy book called the Bible.

Also, all three faiths are monotheistic religions. Furthermore, the Islam religion, Judaism, and Christianity believe in one God, and he is the creator of the universe. Moreover, all three religions believe that God is eternal. Furthermore, Judaism, Christianity, as well as Islam all agree that their teachings come from the same one God (Fisher, 2014, p. 387). There are many religious beliefs that have confused people throughout the years. For example, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christians are the most commonly religions that confuse people. A religious belief is basically a belief in God or gods. Hinduism is a religion where people do witch craft in what they believe that will help and protect them.

Between the 3 of the religions, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all known to be monotheistic which means they all believe in only one god. As for each of them they all believe that they’re “God” is the origin and source of all that exists. In the religious views of the Jews, each of them believes that there is to be one God who cannot be made up of parts. Muslims believe in an “invisible God,” a god to be intensely feared through his supremacy. This God was not able to have children in which to the Muslims he is described as an “Ultimate God.” Christians hold fast to the trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Some things that are similar and different are the holy books, the symbol of faith, and the house of worship.

Religion plays a huge role in today’s day and age. In fact, religion has been of huge importance since cavemen were, well, cavemen. I think it is crucial that these religions be studied by people all around the world so that we can be understanding towards other religions, not just our own. Through religious beliefs, things we can learn through teachings and comparing and contrasting we can learn more about Judaism, Islam and Christianity.

The text describes the Holy Trinity as “three equal ‘persons’ within one divine being: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit” (p. 201). The first pillar of Islam argues against this Christian ideal “professing the unity of God” saying “there is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God”

The location where one encounters the divine demarcates itself from the rest of the world and becomes a sacred place. The “sacred” connotes reverence and respect as illustrated in Exodus 3:5, where the Lord told Moses: "Do not come closer. Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground.” Whereas Jerusalem is just a common city in an ordinary man 's eyes, this viewpoint changes dramatically when it comes to a religious man. For the three monotheistic religions of the West- Judaism, Christianity and Islam, Jerusalem is considered one of the most important and sacred places in the world. The land acquired its sanctity through numerous manifestations of the divine in biblical times. Even though Jerusalem does not have extraordinary physical features of a city in antiquity, it became widely renowned as a holy city.

To begin, all three religions believe in one God - Abraham. However, they do not share the same story. This results in Christianity being based on Jesus, Islam being based on Allah, and Judaism based on Adonai. Each religion also has their own holy building.

I will be further exploring the beginnings of both religions and the teachings that it has passed down to generations. First of all, I will be discussing Christianity and its humble beginnings. I will explore the views of anthropologist and the teachings of this religion. Second, I will be exploring the Islamic religion and its humble beginnings. I will be discussing anthropologist points of view of the Islamic religion and its teachings. Finally, I will be closing with the differences that these two religions have and how it has affected people around the world with the disagreements that both sides have in their style of teachings and its implemented actions that one has to follow.

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all accept that God is the origin and source of all beings. They also believe that, God cares about the well-being of all. With God's grace we have an advantage to be more like what we ought to be. Also, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam consider human beings as the children of Abraham. Above all, God created us with potential in order for us to grow, both as a nation and as individuals. We become more like what God intended human goodness to be when we grow in love, goodness, and righteousness.
