Have you ever found yourself into a certain thing, and that thing has become your passion, but is not appreciated? You could probably list the many benefits of why you should be appreciated, yet people seem to always list your disadvantages. As an artist, it feels like that a lot; some outsiders may perhaps convey to you the disadvantages of creating art; implying that becoming an artist isn’t a respectable perception, or that art cannot be as substantial as alternative things. However, they don’t indubitably articulate the benefits. There is a considerable amount of contrasting artists in this world, who would disagree with the statement that art is redundant. They would tell you that is has it’s many advantages, for example, you gain passion, Perspective, and communication. In some instances, these are three main advantages that people often forget, or they would often rather not discuss. Because art is a way to express oneself, and improve one’s character it is sometimes a much looked after practice. Art is a very important key in shaping a person into a well-rounded individual. It teaches you to become Passionate about what you care about, it helps to improve on your perspective on life and learning. Also, it’s a good way to communicate with the world around you. Passion, education, and communication; that’s what art is all about, and what makes it worth it in the end. One of the first advantages of being an artist is Passion. What is Passion? It’s an
The world would be nothing without art. Art is another way of expressing your feelings. In Anna Deavere Smith’s excerpt From Letters to a Young Artist, she argues that to create great art, an artist needs both knowledge and empathy.
While art does have its advantages, it will not solve everyone’s problems. It is true that not everyone enjoys the thrill of creating a beautiful masterpiece because they might have been forced to take that class. However, those who love these classes show that there is a relationship between creativity and
Art helped me learn to express the feelings I couldn’t say and during that time period and I choosing to study it is the greatest decision I have ever made. Art is the reason I live now. It gives me hope, happiness, and an ability to escape. I love how it can change my view and to make me feel things. This year one of my illustrations was hung in the Museum of Contemporary Art: La Jolla, and I could not be prouder.
Art was a way for students to express their inner thoughts and views creatively. For senior Lauren Mabe art was a way to express herself in various ways. Students’ artwork was inspiring to many and held significant meaning. “Art is a form of personal expression. It teaches everyone how to observe life in every detail. It teaches people how to develop concepts and think more deeply about a topic. As an artist, art creates a form of pride- there is nothing better than stepping back from something you have created and saying ‘Wow, I actually did that!’ The only thing better than that feeling is when someone pays you for it,” said Ms. Wilson.
Art is a great way to show passion as well as emotion and thoughts. There have been many great visual artists and there still is today. Art has been around for a long, long time and will continue to be in our community for many more years to come. Art is created in many ways and is admired in different
Prior to people writing off art, every person needs to sit down educated themselves about the culture. The information is extensive to learned about but very informative. Though art is considered to be an expression of creativity, it holds certain qualities that will benefit society. Art is more than express the creativity, it is a source of stress reliever, a channel of communication, and it deescalates the racial tension. Art has played a significant role in the gilded era, social justice movements and diversity. Art ideology brought unity among people and it also gave the world visual representation of time. That representation is being discussed in today society allowing people to have peaked at the times back then. Finally, as society
People take art for granted and don't see the arts taking a fundamental role in our lives. I admit I was one of those individuals, but when I joined Citi Spotlights, it changed my view on the arts and the world surrounding me. The program taught me leadership skills and exposed me to things I had never done before. It introduced me to acting, singing, and dancing. Today, I am able to use my imagination and use any artistic form to express my most profound thoughts to my surroundings.
Once in high school, I put my all into my art. I started exploring different styles and types of art, like design. I applied my skills everywhere: from designing the yearbook for eight years straight to photographing for the Admissions team. I toyed with mediums like acrylic and watercolor as I deviated from the paper I used to use. As time passed, art became who I am: it was what I used to think and feel about the world and I’m compelled to create for
While art is only a hobby to some, it can be a source of happiness and closure to others. Art, literature, and music have helped numerous people through challenging times, being an outlet in which one can let their emotions out. This being said, struggles such as addiction and depression can have an affect on an artists work. Many artists would not have the same quality of work they have today if they did not channel their emotions through art as a outlet. Sharing experiences through art is one of the most timeless ways to tell a story, dating way back to some of the first pieces literature and music created. Art is one of the biggest outlets in which one can let their emotions out in a healthy and effective way, sharing one’s story, getting their feelings figured out, while impacting the quality of work that is created.
“The artist is the compass which, through the raging of the storm, points steadily to the north,” said by Romain Rolland. If people could give an accurate concept of art , then it was better to say that art gave the artist a firm goal and motivation. At a young age, I did not have a deep understanding of art. In my memory, drawing a few pictures of comic and having art classes in my elementary school in China that was the closest way to learn art. Although I liked painting, I did not choose it as my major in my high school and university without the support of my family. However, fortunately I had a good chance to live and study in New York with my family in the winter of 2014. If I could not learn painting that was a kind of regret in the first two decades of my life, then I might have the opportunity to make up for this regret in after years. I was very grateful to the art to bring my enthusiasm, so I could firmly choose the art design as a new professional in QCC and have more opportunities to learn about art.
Art is worthless if it doesn’t have a meaning, once you find a meaning, you can quickly learn that two completely different pieces of art have the exact same meaning! An example could be, a scary monster s sad because everyone doesn’t want to be near them and a lonely guy sitting on the edge of the playground because he was getting bullied. When you can express yourself in your art, you can pass the same feeling as what your feeling to your audience, and then the audience can feel the same feeling as you, when you were making it. Lastly, every little touch you put into your art, can give the audience a bigger picture to the meaning of your art. Hopefully, you can now see the importance of meaning in
At an early age, my talent and passion for art was recognized; in kindergarten I was my teachers ‘little artist’. In second grade, I had composed into words what I liked about making art: I liked creation, making something out of nothing. As I matured I divided art into two categories: an escape, and a form of intelligence. As an escape is for the enjoyment or what an artist will get out of it, whether it be, growth or a form of therapy. This escape allows people to express their individuality, their message and allows an audience to experience their art. I think art is a form of intelligence because it takes knowledge and the acquired ability to take thoughts into creation. I make art because it is an escape for me and I get to show my audience my views on social issues.
In this class art has taught me many things that I didn’t know before or that they were associated with art particularly. This has gave me the opportunity to appreciate art and what it gives us the chances to do with it. Art also has changed my views on many things. To be specific, according to what I have learned in this class, it has changed my view on the role art has in reflecting social, economic, and humanistic issues. Also, I have learned many new artists that had works that were particularly meaningful in expanding my view of the world. All in all, art has many things to it to learn and appreciate from and to give you the chance to learn something that is creative and beautiful that you didn’t know about before.
In today’s world, art carries a huge role in our lives as it surrounds us. It forces us to think critically and in different ways based on what’s in front of us, such as shocking, fascinating, and impressing our minds. It’s just a simple way of displaying color and style in order to force us to try and figure out what their message is. Art is not only about showing self-expression, but it also helps bring a population of people closer and promotes team building skills, such as building up long lasting relationships. It encourages people to contribute to the world so they can be remembered for doing something big. It is also a powerful way to communicate with others. If you were to travel to a whole different place where you didn’t understand
A lot of people think that art can only go as far as a class in school, but in reality there is art around everyone. Art can be a way of life for some people, and for others it is simply just something they pass every single day. What they do not realize is that art can have benefits in different aspects in their life, in children's lives, and even the world around them.
