MY DOG BELLA (memoir)
The time I adopted my dog bella, I knew it would be a mystical time. I adopted her when she needed a place to stay in October. She’s a Poodle and her fur white as snow and a brown nose, “she’s beautiful” I said the first time I saw her. She has colored eyes and sleeps with me at night. She runs towards me when I get home. She cries for I can give her food. She just loves when I call her “Beladora”.I love her so much she sometimes prefers me than food and if you know her she loves food a lot to much sometimes. She will always love me as I will always love her even when she steals food out of my hands. Well continuing my story one early Saturday morning we thought we should go

We were having a great time with the birds in the air. Well we were joking I said ‘’Morning It just felt good , too good if you ask me”.So there I was, jogged with my sister. I first thought we brought my dog and I said ‘ She’s just a bother”, I wouldn't know what was about to happen, that I would need her dreadfully. Like I always am, I was in the front of my sister far in the distance until she yelled “stop when you crossed the street” I had to take Bella with me because I was too fast for the others and Bela had the same story and I said “ Ok comon bella we have to go go GO”. There we were jogging and crossing the street and out of nowhere Bam a red car coming fast toward us. I petrified in fear . I looked both ways like my mom always tells me but the street was curved. I froze in fear and just shacked but believe it or not she saved my life by pulling me to the sidewalk with her in that moment I felt like if someone’s love hit me in the face and it was bela. She pulled me to the

I remember the very first day my family and I got our Italian Greyhound, Cyrus. My Sister wanted to get a dog so badly so we all got on my dad’s computer to order one. My Mom wanted a dog that was cat-like so we chose an Italian Greyhound as our dog. We were surprised to find out that he would be coming from Nebraska in only three days. This meant that we were totally unprepared to receive him but we still did from the airport. Even though he was shy at first he grew to be a hyper little dog and to love us. Even though I love to be with him I don’t know much about his kind, so I decided to find out where and when they originated, What their body is like, and what it is like to live with them.
The book “The Captain's Dog” follows Lewis and Clark's expedition, which took place from 1804 to 1806, to find A waterway that travelled from the east coast to the west coast, were they end up in modern day Oregon. Most of the U.S. had not been claimed by Europe and was owned by other countries. The expedition was started by George Washington who was the president at the time, sent out Lewis and Clark after the Louisiana purchase, which was when the U.S. had bought A large amount of land from Spain. Lewis and Clark had started the expedition in missouri, following the mississippi river. Though they did not discover A passage way, they discovered many new species of animals. Captain Clark had also brought along his dog, Seaman, who had gotten
I was bouncing up and down in my car seat my seat belt trying to keep a hold of me. I was so excited to finally get to go to six flags. As we pulled up to get into the parking lot, they wind rushed through my hair, I stuck my head out the window to get a better view of six flags. The rides going back in forth and the people eagerly waiting in line to get in. we pulled up to a parking. The car came to a stopped, everyone jolted forward and then back in their seats. I opened the door stepping out and letting the rest of the people come out. The door slammed behind me and echoed through the parking lot. We made our way getting closer and closer to the amusement park, my older cousins were walking behind me and the young ones who were running across the street playing, my uncle screamed at them to not play in the street.
In 2008, I spent the summer with my Uncle, Aunt and 2 cousins in Missouri. They picked me up at the airport, and the car ride was filled with discussion about a puppy they had just gotten 2 days prior. It was explained that my cousins wanted a dog since their friends’ family had gotten a dog recently. My Uncle, happy to oblige, stopped at a neighbor’s house one day, who was giving away puppies they could not care for, as is common in small town America. He picked out the cutest one and went on his way. The family was so happy to have “Roxy” in their home and on their farm.
For the first couple hours having her home it was a joy. She would jump on the couch and I would give her a belly rub, I would go outside and she would follow me. But whenever someone else pet her, or tried to pet her, she would growl and run to me. She could tell that I chose her and that I truly, dearly love her. And I could tell that she truly, dearly loves me.
About two years ago my sister had taken in a dog named Morgan. At first I didn’t exactly agree with this because she already had a dog that she hardly took care of. When my sister brought Morgan home she was about two months old. I could still hold her in on had. And as I spent more time with her, she became my baby.
It was a new day. I had spent it exploring the parts of the backyard that I hadn’t seen before. My sister, Tia and I were eating the crab apples and currants. Our dog, Lacey was following us around. Soon my uncle arrived back at the house. He offered to take us around the property in an ATV. We blissfully agreed and hopped on the back of the ATV. Our dog followed us up the mountain, but something caught her eye. She ran down after it. We didn't think anything of it and kept on the ATV.
Have you ever walked down that white tile floor that reeked of bleach, with a bouquet of roses and daisies, all tied into one? Well, I have. My brother was in a small hospital room for a little over a week, trying to recover from a car accident with a minor concussion. I remember standing close by my dad as we went into the huge elevator filled with people. I slowly made my way to the far right corner and waited till our stop. As the elevator ringed, we snuck out of the crowd of people and turned the corner. I knocked on the door. The door slowly squeaked opened with a nurse on the other end. I look over to the bed; my brother had needles and wires stuck into him like a pincushion. But yet, he still managed to get some sleep. I set the box of chocolates on the table beside him, and then set my own self onto the small, unpleasing couch. Trying to get comfortable, I
“A Dog’s Life” The autobiography of a stray by: Ann M. Martin, a book i’ve had since the 4th grade, I can never stop coming back to it at least once every year though. A dog named Squirrel goes through many changes in her life with losing her mother, then her brother, being abused, surviving on her own, making new friends losing those friends and finding a good home for good where she can live her elder years. To me the book basically covers the life of a human, as I got older and repeatedly read the book I realized that it has substantial similarities with the way humans generally go through life. People lose their family, get in abusive relationships, have to go to college and survive on their own, we make friends, lose friends and hopefully
I took her into my car thinking of what I should do next. This little dog in my arms was so beautiful, but I never thought that I would be able to bring her home and keep her. I thought about the option of taking her to a dog shelter, but was afraid of what they might do if they could not find her a home. I took her to a friend's house where we gave her a warm bath and food. I then took her to a vet to make sure she was
Afterwards I calmly lead her through the torrential rain to attempt to find my mom who somewhere in the wild mess of people. I grab Ashley’s arm so that she does not get lost in the crowd and I am able to locate my mom. At this point Ashley is near tears, so my mom and I lead her under a set of bleachers to wait out the rain. I realized at that point, I had never felt so calm before, because usually I am the one who is terrified at little things and cowers behind others. Yet at this moment I realized I couldn’t be that person, for the sake of my best friend. After about twenty minutes the rain slightly let up and after finding my dad and brother we all quickly walked to our car, exhausted from the night we silently drove
My golden retriever dog, Cassie came into the room wagging her tail happy to see me. Cassie stares at me wanting to play a game of tug of war. I encourage my dog to hop onto my bed and she does so. Cassie spins in a circle and lays down. She stares out and over the stairs waiting for my mom and dad to walk up the loud stairs and say goodnight to me and my sister.
As they launch themselves onto my bed every morning, Blanco and Bella will make any day better by just being near them. Blanco, a mixture of a Poodle and a Bichon Frise, is a little white dog that is filled to his max with stamina. Then his half-sister Bella, a mixture of a Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, and a Bichon Frise, is a little grey, brown, and black dog that has even more stamina than her brother. This past December these two turned one year old - even though Bella is a few days
Later that day, my sister and I went to the track at Memorial Park. My sister was teaching me how to bike. In the beginning, I was not happy and really wanted my dad to teach me instead of my sister. I was whining a lot whenever I passed my dad, but he always ignored me. Eventually, I gave up and allowed my sister to teach me how to bike. When I was finally able to ride the bike, my sister and I rode on the track together. We were talking to each other while paying attention to the road because
