One song that embodies the person that I am today is "Doing it wrong " by Drake . This song embodies the person I am today; because I had relationship problems with a girl and it has affected me in the past in many ways. She and I both felt it was time to move on . We essentially live in a generation of not being together as Drake said it best . It is amazing how he acknowledges that so many people in my generation have the problem of being "together but not together" for fear of accepting that you're just not supposed to be together. So many people can relate to this song; going through a long dragged out relationship that has probably been over with, it's just scary to completely let it go.Perhaps this song is about the hard parts after
“Pip pip da doodley doo” (Drake Parker). In Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh, two teenagers with opposite personalities must learn to live under the same roof. Drake is a cool, good looking, slightly daft, guitar playing, ladies man who plays by his own rules while Josh is the dorky, clumsy, responsible one. The two must learn how to get along when Drake’s mom falls in love with and marries Josh’s dad in the first episode. The rest of the series consists of the duo’s wacky misadventures. Meanwhile, Drake’s mischievous little sister, Maegan, plays pranks on the two in a constant attempt to make their lives miserable. The genre of the show is situational comedy (sitcom) and its target audiences are preteens and younger
1. “Like a Rock” by Bob Seger, which is an inspirational song that talks about a middle-aged man who encounters frustration in his aging problem. Also, he reminded back to his youth life to reflect memories and compare with now differences. There a lot of shots to focus on the men’s emotion and react; for example, he is smoking and playing the guitar. Around twenty years later, he has got a lot of things, but he still cannot find his own feeling when he was young, such as passion in playing music, rock. Finally, he knows that it cannot change anything and it should have a position to face challenges in his beginning life. In this song recommend many times “like a rock” that means no matter now who you are, people have their own opportunities
Music is a very good thing for people because it can sometimes calm a person down and make them feel happy. Music is a good way to express one’s feelings in a positive way. Sometimes people use it for good reasons and sometimes bad reasons. I chose to write about the song “Hotline Bling” by Drake for my project. I think this song shows the emotion of sadness and depression.
For example, Wait and See. (Highly recoomend listening to it. It still applies to America, even though it was made in 2015.) It talks about how bad the world is getting, how we are all parting. I feel like the song is so honest and open, warning people of the world. “Wait and see, when the world stops spinning and we’re all pretending to be okay. But it’s hard to be when you find out it’s fake.” I know this is about the person you admire, but let’s talk about how that’s spooky. The world is crashing, we’re having hurricane after hurricane, the ice caps are melting, there’s a whole in the Ozone layer! We aren’t talking about it, we aren’t talking about how humans are the ones responsible. Everyone wants to act like it isn’t real. The song is pointing out that fact. If humans were more self aware, more kind, we wouldn’t have destroye our only Earth. Think about
Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, commonly known as PARTYNEXTDOOR, was born on July 3, 1993 in Mississauga, Canada. His sound is "a fractured blend of minimal hip-hop and R&B that has drawn natural comparisons to fellow Canadians Drake and the Weekend”. Drake discovered the artist and signed him to OVO Sound Records. PND released his self-titled mixtape with the label on July 1, 2013. The album peaked at number 34 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for the week ending July 20. On August 26, 2013, PARTYNEXTDOOR released his first single, Over Here ft. Drake. The song made its impact on radio and charts for that week. PARTYNEXTDOOR released his debut studio album, PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO, on July 29, 2014. It charted as the #15 album of the week and top Rap/R&B album. It sold 15,924 units its first week. The song, Recognize ft. Drake, from his album topped #9 in US R&B charts. His next studio album, P3, is expected to be released this year. And recent rumors have circulated that the album will be released tomorrow, July 1st. Party recently released a single from the album called Come and See Me ft. Drake, which took the #10 spot on the US R&B charts. He has made appearances on many Drake songs, along with other artists such as Big Sean, P Reign, Amir Obe, King Louie, and Young Thug. He headlined his first world tour in 2015 and was a supporting artist on Drake’s Would You Like a Tour? in 2013.
I am very thankful to have learned about #pitmad created by Brenda Drake because it opened the door for me to look into more twitter pitch opportunities. If you are like me and are unable to attend a lot of the writing conferences and workshops because they are usually held in larger cities, then it can be tough. But thanks to social media there are growing opportunities.
Last night (April 11) Drake took the stage to close out the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and he packed his set with a series of surprises. During his performance the rapper turned out some of his newest material from his current album If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, but the biggest surprise was when he was joined onstage by fellow superstar Madonna. As the rapper broke into the debut performance of his single “Madonna,” the musician joined him onstage and performed a joint set that ended with a jaw dropping surprise. Moments before walking offstage, Madonna went in for a kiss.
These songs relate to whom I am, and represent whom I am. I relate to the songs because they speak about to become who I am supposed to be, and I learned from the three songs of my choice, I can also relate to the songs
This song represents confidence because Clarkson said that even when things are bad you can always handle it and can always pull through and by pulling through you’re getting stronger.
Second, another song that I feel best represents transformation is a song entitled “Breaking Point” by Keri Hilson. In this song the singer says that there is a limit to her love. In the song she says that there is a limit to her love. That meaning that shes done with men cheating on her and hurting and that its time to take a stand. In the chorus of the song Keri Hilson repeatedly says that there is a limit to her love. In the video its Keri Hilson and a bunch of other women chanting that their love has a limit. They are finally taking a stand to all the men that her them. I feel that people take other peoples kindness for weakness. Which has happened to me before many times and it doesn’t feel great at all. So, the song is very powerful to
Remember the Name” (Radio Edit) is a song very similar to my life. Not only does this show my love of hip-hop and rap music, but it represents me as a person. The chorus line that repeats throughout the song, “This is 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain, and 100% reason to remember the name...” represents how hard I have to work in school and sports, especially lacrosse and water polo throughout my everyday life. Another quote, “He doesn’t need his name up in lights, he just wants to be heard whether it’s the beat of the mic, he feels so unlike everyone else, alone, in spite of the fact people still think they know him. But no, he knows the code, it’s not about the salary, it’s about reality makin’ some noise, makin’ the story…” resembles what I work for.
I chose the song “She used to be mine” by Sara Bareilles, because it describes many people in this world. When the song states, “ She's imperfect, but she tries,” this means that even though she is not perfect, she at least tries. I believe that nobody's perfect, but especially me. I am most certainly not perfect at all, but I atleast try my best. This song describes many people all around this world.
I’ve heard thousands of song that people published. Some are good, some are not so good. Every once in a while, there are songs that gives me a spark of feeling. “This City” by Patrick Stump and “Sleepwalking” by The Chain Gang of 1974 are one of them. The song “This City”, sings about how Patrick loves his city and that he would stay there for life. The song “Sleepwalking” sings about a man who got his heart broke and he thinks it’s all a dream. “This City” reminds me of a time I moved to a different state and “Sleepwalking” reminds me of a time I got my heart broken.
Songs are expressions of how an artist feels when he or she writing the song. A song can either make a person feel happy or sad. Some songs actually encourage people when things in a person’s life is going wrong. There are so many songs in the world, and a song can mean many things to different people. Life has many obstacles, including many songs to describe life in general, but three specific songs that describe mine and they are:” Time for That” by Kevin Gates, “Worth” by Antony Brown, and “7 Years” by Lucas
For example, in his song “I’m A Mess”, Ed sings of his confused thoughts and desperate actions after a breakup, He sings,”oh I’m a mess right now, inside out/ Searching for sweet surrender but this is not the end.” This very relatable statement is the base message of the song and means that he is emotionally confused and thinks that there is a way to put his relationship back together. Because of Ed’s simple, yet artistic lyrics, his audiences can relate to his experiences which connects him to his audiences.
