In New Hampshire in 2016, President Trump said in regards to the news media that "They're scum. They're horrible people. They are so illegitimate.” Having been quoted multiple times referring to the journalists and reporters in a similarly negative manner, President Trump apparently has diminished the nation’s trust in the press. The Trump administration is also notorious for barring certain news organizations, from access to events. In response to blocking prominent news organizations, including CNN and The New York Times, from attending a question and answer session with Press Secretary Sean Spicer, NPR wrote that “the relationship between the Trump administration and the news media has taken another step backwards.” By excluding typically adversary news organizations and including typically supportive news organizations, some argue that the Trump administration is inhibiting freedom of the press and prohibiting the truthful spread of information. On the other hand, it can be argued that adversary news organizations may distort events and quotes, causing unnecessary confusion and misguided

Today we see fake news coming from high up officials. This was seen countless number of times in the Obama and Bush Administrations. Obama promised us “that we can keep our doctors” under the ACA, but that wasn’t the case. Bush did this when he claimed that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and used it as a reason to go to war. And we have already seen it with the Trump Administration too. The Trump Administration kicked out news outlets from the White House Press Conference room. This is because President Trump claimed that certain news outlets were spreading “fake news” about him. This is not good because it hints to that the Trump Administration wants to control the news. In 1984, this is exactly what the government does; they spread false information to the people and brainwash them. Our leaders do this today

With public’s trust in cable news plummeting (all-time low of 32% according to Gallup), more and more individuals are looking for alternative sources online, which makes them more susceptible to fake news, and so the vicious cycle

It is clearly obvious that to begin to obtain a clear understanding of president Trump’s ideology and philosophy as to who he believes he is, and what he truly is, we must go deep into an investigating analysis of his past dealings as a businessman. His parents sent him to a military school, where he was transformed into a nice young man. He graduated from college with a degree in economics. After school and dabbling the the art of film, he went on to take over the family real estate business in New York.

In a White House press conference; Sean Spicer was asked about Syrian chemical weapons. Part of his response was “Hitler never stooped to the level of using chemical weapons.” Of course he did. Everyone knows that Adolf Hitler very famously gassed the Jewish population in one of the biggest genocides in world history. This was a massive blunder. Even when given a chance to correct himself, Sean Spicer just bumbled about and said a string of words that barely made a cohesive sentence. As President Trump’s appointed Press Secretary, Spicer has a job to make statements for the President directly to the press. Once the video of this hit the internet, liberals took it and ran.

Wake –up America. We are heading down a long dangerous road of cut and paste and the lying talking heads are going to work distorting information and telling us what to believe and what to eat. After all, why would we want to discover the truth for ourselves, when we can just blindly accept the word of a few persons? It is high time we stop worrying about fake news. We know it’s fake so there is no need to tweet about it. Our duty is to gather the facts, disregard the bias, and formulate our own opinions. At the Republican national convention, Melania Trump gave a speech that was very similar to Michelle Obama's speech in 2008, which she gave at the Democratic convention. Trumps speechwriter, Jason Miller, stated that the speech reflected her own thinking, along with pieces of others’ speeches. The Trump campaign denied any act of plagiarism. A video surfaced on social media with Michelle and Melanias speech playing side by side, and it was almost word for word. But still, the Trump campaign claimed that it was absurd to say that the speech was plagiarized. Many people when they hear the word safety they think of putting your seatbelt on or buckling up your helmet, however, others think of the safety of our country. Men who disrespect women go to jail all the time and just because a higher figure does it, makes it ok? A higher figure should be an example, not just any example, but a wonderful, kind hearted, generous, example. Donald Trump has not only blinded most of America, but himself. He can not even accept his own flaws, but by doing so, he will humiliate and offend any other person just to make himself look better. Donald Trump has no respect, and by his words Americans should come to realization that he is only doing things for himself and not for the good of America.
