Downtown Indianapolis

Do you know anything about the Indiana Pacers? First, the Indiana Pacers is a basketball team in the NBA. Secondly, the Indiana Pacers is a professional basketball team. Lastly, the Indiana Pacers were one of the four teams that had joined the NBA in 1976. This is my individual project.

The Pittsburgh Pirates, a MLB baseball team playing in PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, offers fans a baseball game product that includes the team, individual players, in-game entertainment, stadium experience, concessions, merchandise, and customer service. Center Township is one the later communities making up Beaver County, history dates back to the earliest periods of the Ohio Valley. In 1774 all lands south of the Ohio River were claimed by Virginia and slowly through the Revolutionary War become part of Pennsylvania at individual times. Prior to colonial explorers, the native Indians of the area traveled the “Glade Path” a trail crossing the original township from north to south. Today we know that path as Brodhead road, named after the Commander of Fort McIntosh. Beaver County was formed March 12th, 1800 with three townships, Southside- Hanover, First Moon and Second Moon. In 1812, the area further broke into four townships, one of which was Moon the parent of today’s Center Township. On November 24th, 1914, Center Township, a sparsely populated area, separated from the heavily populated suburban section now known as Moon. This was the result of a dispute among Moon township residents in early 1914.

The event took place on the Canal Walk located in downtown Indianapolis. This area serves as a diverse, cultural location into Indianapolis’ many outdoor facets.

When people think of Indiana most just think about corn and that is true. Indiana is a state that is all about farming and festivals and the social interaction of the people. When people are out in Indiana one simply smiles and says hello even if they do not normally know one another. This is just a normal occurrence in most parts of Indiana. If people go to another state, things may be much different. People in other states may not hold doors open for one another and it is not considered rude. Whereas in Indiana, if there is someone walking 30 feet behind, better hold that door open for them or that is considered highly rude. It’s only certain kind of crimes that go on in Anderson, Indiana . Anderson highest crime is property crime. Most citizens that are related to crimes mostly break into others homes or grand theft auto. These crimes are due to the current drug problem in Anderson. Many citizens in Anderson has money issues.

The first city is Houston Texas, Founded in 1836 on the banks of Buffalo Bayou, the city has grown to be recognized as the energy capital of the world, and as the home of the Johnson Space Center (NASA).and it’s located 29.76 latitude and -95.36 longitude and it is situated at elevation 30 meters above sea level. Houston has a population of 6,622,047, making it the biggest city in Texas. Houston economy is based on a broad spectrum of industries including: Oil and gas exploration, Basic petroleum refining, petrochemical production, Medical research and health care delivery, High-technology (computer, aerospace, environmental, etc.) Government (City, state and federal), International import and export Commercial fishing, Agriculture, Education, Film and Media, Banking and finance, Manufacturing and distribution, Related service industries. In 1836 revolutionaries routed the Mexican army at the Battle of San Jacinto and the nearby town took the name of the battle's victor, General Sam Houston.

This area is getting more hip by the minute and respect across the nation with it's flauncy highrise condos, new chic restaurants, upscale boutiques and fashionable clubs and bars. What could be better for the young, professional singles flocking to the area, or the retirees wanting to skip the lawn maintenance for a freer lifestyle? Downtown Dallas is Hot spots in the downtown Dallas vicinity include West Village and Mockingbird Station (closer to East Dallas). Condos at the W Hotel start in the High $1 Millions, but you can also find highrises in Dallas for $300,000 and up depending on where you look.

Imagine a place where past and present meet, a place where there are many cultures and a myriad of things to do. El Paso, Texas is just that, a place where cultures don't clash, but, instead, mix. Although some might see El Paso as a ghost town filled with run-down building in the middle of nowhere, this city is replete with fun activities. El Paso presents a great escape, gives vast job opportunities to young people, and offers wonderfully affordable housing.

On November 7, 1883, an exhibition organized by “May Wright Sewell, her husband Theodore, and a small group of art-minded citizens” (History, 2017) began what would one day become the establishment now known as the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Since that first exhibition, the IMA has gone through several identity changes. They were first named, the Art Association of Indianapolis. Their next identity was as the John Herron Art Institute, which opened a whole new chapter, as they became “a campus featuring both a museum and an art school.” (History, 2017) Today, the IMA is one of the largest encyclopedic art museums in the nation. The IMA has had various leadership and staff over the years that have lent to how the museum operates today.

No city in the United States is the same. From great metropolises like New York, Los Angeles or Washington D.C. to small cities like Newark or Toledo, every city is different. If you look at some of the most well-known small cities, there is Orlando and St. Louis. Most people view Orlando as a city home to many exciting amusement parks and attractions and view St. Louis as a city ridden with crime that is on a population downturn that will take a long time for it to recover from. These cities differ in many ways and there are pros and cons for traveling to each destination. To begin the two cities differ in attractions. There are many Chinatown in this world, and the Chinatown of San Francisco has much historical significance; The Chinatown of San Francisco is the largest Chinatown in the United States, the largest community of Chinese Americans outside of China. Today I want to write about the of San Francisco base on my personal experience because there are many historic things I can illustrate. Before I started traveling this field trip, I did some researches carefully in San Francisco city guide, so I eager to travel as soon as possible. This paper will conduct a community assessment of Marion County, Indiana. Marion County is located in the heart of Indianapolis, which is the capital of the state of Indiana. Marion County was created April 1, 1822 and was formed from Delaware New Purchase. It was named after General Frances Marion from South Carolina in the Revolutionary War period. This assessment will address the health needs and risks of Marion County through the use of the WGU assessment forms identifying the population’s economic status, neighborhood and community safety inventory, cultural assessment, and the disaster assessment and planning guide.
