Point by Point
No city in the United States is the same. From great metropolises like New York, Los Angeles or Washington D.C. to small cities like Newark or Toledo, every city is different. If you look at some of the most well-known small cities, there is Orlando and St. Louis. Most people view Orlando as a city home to many exciting amusement parks and attractions and view St. Louis as a city ridden with crime that is on a population downturn that will take a long time for it to recover from. These cities differ in many ways and there are pros and cons for traveling to each destination. To begin the two cities differ in attractions. Orlando is best known for its entertainment, with it containing some of the highest rated amusement parks in the world such as Disney World, Seaworld, and

Each of them are critically acclaimed and millions of people visit them each year. On the other side, there is St. Louis that only has small attractions such as the City Museum or Six Flags. In addition to different attractions, the prices of goods and restaurants vary greatly. St. Louis’s prices are much lower than Orlando’s prices as for example an average hotel room is $100 less in St. Louis than it is in Orlando. Lastly, the cities also differ immensely in crime rates. St. Louis has one of the highest in the entire nation while Orlando has an average crime rate with a city of its size. Crime rate contributes to the two cities different prices and attractions as people are less likely to go to a city where they feel unsafe. In conclusion, neither of these cities are necessarily better than the other, they each have pros and cons that define them. Each person has their own wants and needs and has to decide which city better
For example, Disneyland, Universal Orlando, Magic Kingdoms, and Florida Keys. Each of these attractions attract millions of tourists each year due to all of the fun things you can do. I think these attractions impact their culture because they are the things that shape Florida into the state that is it today. People travel from all over the world to see these places. In Indiana there aren’t as many fun attractions, they are mostly historic. This is a cool difference because it gives us a background on U.S. history but could also be fun for people who are interested in history. There are many places to visit from museums to memorials, all very cool things. If you ever get tired of seeing Palm Trees, Indiana would be a great place to visit. Although it is missing out on the Palm Trees, you could never miss out on seeing a field. Indiana is known for growing crops in huge fields all over state. Farming plays a huge role in our lives. A lot of food Florida receives is exported from Indiana. Florida is too dry and hot all year long to grow crops. Yes they do grow some, but they mostly grow on trees, for example oranges. Oranges play a huge role in Florida, it is one of their many traditions. In Florida, people hand-squeeze oranges like we do with Lemons, to make Orange Juice. Most of the world’s Orange Juice comes from Florida and is another thing that makes Florida so pure and
One of the main differences I noticed at first was the night life, being that I work in a bar I have a lot of experience when it comes to this. Miami’s night life is over the top crazy. The clubs stay open until 6 am, and the drinks overpriced. While the drinks overpriced already they also add a 20% tip
As I stepped out to the Las Vegas Strip for the first time, the first thing I came across was the massive water show at the Bellagio. With the calm music playing in the background finely tuned with every drop of water I fell in love. Along with the gigantic crowd of people that surrounded me I could feel the warmth of every light bulb that lit up the city that never sleeps. Comparing Las Vegas to my hometown Madrid, I find many differences that only I may be able to depict. Some of the differences include the food, the culture and the demographic of the people in the community. Out of the many differences I chose to compare three things that I found were the most interesting. Madrid and Las Vegas are very different in term of climate, economy,
Today, Detroit, New York City and Chicago have many similarities They're highly populated cities with high crime rates, many homeless people, noisy streets and terrible traffic. In contrast, they attract many tourists with their tall skyscrapers, and their famous attractions. As well as similarities, there's also, many differences. Today, Chicago and New York City are known for having many job opportunities and luring people in with promising careers. Whereas in Detroit, it's known to be quite hard to find employment. These cities have gone on a long journey to get to where they're at today. I'll be discussing Detroit's history from around 1880 to 1910 and comparing it to the way Chicago and New York City was in the book, Sister Carrie written by Theodore Dreiser.
Imagine yourself moving to a different city. You have looked at all the cities you would most likely move to and you have finally picked out that El Paso, Texas and London, England are your two final choices. After narrowing down the options to two cities its important to look at similarities and differences. Although El Paso, Texas and London, England are similar in their cheap housing and exuberant job opportunities, they differ in their getaways, job opportunities, and housing.
I chose these two states to compare because they are the states I have lived in throughout my life and are significant to me. I was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and lived there until I was 10 years old. My step-father received a job offer in Islamorada, Florida and we decided to move. I lived there until I graduated high school, following which I came to Orlando to go to college.
Agreement was granting him the “Exclusive” right to vacation with the children and preference in odds years (2015 being the odd year). Moreover, the father did not know if his proposed order or this of the opposing counsel would be signed by the honorable Judge Bernstein when he left to Orlando with the children. Nevertheless, the order was signed in December 21, 2015 and was not entered in the system until December 24, 2015. Subsequent to this signing, the father was never served with the order. The Father left to Orlando Florida on December 27, 2015 and, by that time, he had not been served with the signed order of the Honorable Judge Bernstein. Neither the Court System nor the Mother’s attorney serve the father with the court order and
How much of a difference is there in the daily life of a midwesterner compared to an east coast resident? How does one’s life differ in the same country, but across a distance of over 1,551 miles? These factors are what makes one area or another a highly sought after place to live. Comparing my time living in North Kingston, Rhode Island to my time living in Garretson, South Dakota will show that both are great places, but the atmosphere and daily life of Rhode Island really set the two places apart, making it a better place to live.
There are two cities that I found to have apparent differences from one another. Houston and Hong Kong come with various differences, and who could have known that Houston and Hong Kong have so many different features? Houston and Hong Kong are vastly different from each other when it comes to the three main features - education, transportation, and domestic life.
People are always talking about how much fun visiting Hawaii or Las Vegas was. When they describe the sites and their best attractions, one can only assume that these are the best places. Some people would rather visit other sites that have different attractions or activities that fit their desires. Hawaii and Las Vegas both have everything you can want; they have everything from the outdoors to the casinos. While Hawaii is obviously a different type of fun than Las Vegas nonetheless they both are enjoyable places. Hawaii and Las Vegas both have some of the greatest tourist attractions in the world. Hawaii is known for its beaches and relaxing outdoor entertainment. While Las Vegas is known for its partying and casinos. Hawaii is fun for the family as relaxation trip and Las Vegas is fun for people who are looking for parties. There are similarities between the two considering they both are some of the greatest vacation trips. A person could enjoy both sites equally without feeling like they are missing out on something that they wanted to do. They have the best tourist sites and create a fun experience for the people who visit. Hawaii and Las Vegas are the best places to visit, sight see, have fun, and relax with friends and family.
Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando provide entertainment for visitors of all ages. However, it is no surprise that the intended audience for Walt Disney World is targeted towards young children. On the other hand, Universal Orlando provides entertainment for an older audience. Walt Disney World has slower attractions which are suitable for the whole family and revolve around the many different Disney movies and characters. Universal Orlando is known for its thrill rides which are loved by adrenaline seekers. Walt Disney World has very few thrill rides to choose from and not many of them are large scale roller coasters. Universal has basically an entire theme park dedicated to large scale roller coasters providing twists and turns at a high velocity for its guests. Walt Disney World keeps the fantasy going for the young children by providing meet and greets with characters from the various Disney movies. They also offer various different
There are also other factors that could explain the big differences between these cities. The ethnic and racial makeup of the people living there and their educational levels could be a big difference. To really explain the increase or decline in both these cities is difficult because the two areas that I choose are so very different in population is really the biggest difference.
To contrast East St. Louis with the school in Rye, New York, both schools express the difference of poor education and higher education. As for East St. Louis, representing a poor school and urban society with 75% of people living off of welfare or any sort of government funding. The school in East St Louis revolved around poverty. Schools with no funds, sewage everywhere, and no type of support. Mostly, populated by african americans. . Inequalities, we see how poor african american neighborhoods don’t get the assistance they need and it affects the youth. The school in Rye which was was populated by Whites, Asians, some Hispanics, and even fewer blacks. They were privileged. The school wasn’t falling apart like the school in East St Louis
For Christmas and my sixteenth birthday present my parents planned a trip for me to go to New York City with my dad. Two days after Christmas me and my dad hopped on the plane and headed for New Jersey and New York City. I was very excited because I had been to New Jersey but I never visited New York City before. I also remember being excited because of that fact that I would actually get to see snow in the winter since it rarely ever snowed in Houston during the winter. Then that next year during my junior year in High School, I had the opportunity to go on a trip to Los Angeles with my drill team. I was very excited to get to go to both of these huge awesome cities in that two year period. Both of these cities were unique in their own way. So what makes a city similar to another city and what makes a city different to another city? The people, the weather, the vibe, the monuments and popular attractions are all some of the components of what makes a city unlike any other city. My two favorite cities besides Houston are New York and Los Angeles. I have visited both and like them both equally for different reasons. While New York and Los Angeles definitely have their similarities, they also have many differences that set them apart from each other.
