    Why do almost all students dread school? Though the answer may differ between different people, the main reason why most students dread school is because we have to go to school almost everyday and work, receiving no reward. There is nothing to look forward to in school and though the idea may sound absurd, students should get paid for good grades. School is work, it’s difficult and it takes up our entire day, filling the rest of our free time with homework or topics to study. If we got paid for doing good in school, then we would be encouraged to keep up the hard work and we would put more effort in school. Meaning that the next generation of adults would be well educated and would benefit society in many ways. Getting paid for good grades would also help us see the responsibility that comes with money. It would also help prepare us for life after school because we would know how to spend our money wisely, so in other words, students should get paid for good grades because school is work, we would be more encouraged to be diligent and we would learn the responsibility that comes with money.

School was a place where I could leave the dysfunctional atmosphere I live in and nothing took my mind off of my hardships like sports, music, and community service. To avoid the life I lived when school was over, I would learn new instruments and play different sports. I even began to participate in restoring Seattle parks every Saturday with a group called Earth Corps through a non-profit organization called Global Visionaries. I learned leadership skills and met people that changed my life for the better. I realized that there were many things I could do that would allow me to learn and give back to the community and at the same time allow me to escape from my

As much as most people hate to admit it, school is a huge part of almost everybody’s lives from the time we are old enough to start attending kindergarten. I, for one, have always liked school, no matter how “nerdy” that confession may sound. School has always kept me busy, and given me a lot of things I could not imagine life without. Thanks to school, I found a lot of opportunities, friends, and teachers that have gotten me to where I am today.

Twelve years, twenty-four semesters, over forty teachers, around 2,160 days total, and around 11,900 dollars spent on the average public school child but for what purpose? School is the one thing in a child's life that remains the same for 12 years. So what happens after? Over the past 3 years i had been set on being a dental hygienist, my school was picked out and i had even started my prerequisites online, until october break. I had went on a road trip with my older sister. You might be asking what could this have to do with each other? Just wait. We set out to northern California and to drive up the coast of the infamous 1 highway, just the 2 of us. About half way through the trip we stopped in a place called Big Sur to camp for the night.

We go to school seven hours a day, sit in classrooms, listening and doing work and often times worrying about everything we have to do after. Seven hours is a lot to do everything, but especially paper work and research, so having to go home and have two to four more hours of that to look forward to… Is not particularly comforting.

From the moment I walked into the doors of Gertrude Fellow’s Elementary School as a five-year-old kindergarten student, I fell in love. I went into each day excited and ready to learn. This passion for school continued throughout my high school and college years. It is part of what drives my love for education. School was always an environment to be myself, explore new things, and to even make a few mistakes. As a young child, I thought everybody felt the same way. I was confused when peers said they hated coming to class, or couldn’t wait to go home. I couldn’t understand why anyone would hate something I loved so much.

Do you have a dislike for school? Have you ever wished that you did not have to go to school or wish for a break? Well, have you ever thought about kids who can’t go to school? There are kids your age, even some under the age of five who do not have the right to attend school like you can. You are probably wondering why can’t these children go to school or have education and that these children are extremely lucky, well if you think this you are wrong. These children dream or would do anything to have the education that you have.

Sadly I’m stuck in school. Not to mention all the other things eating up my time. Although there’s things I enjoy, there’s things I’m not fond of like work. My job isn’t the worst. The pay is fair, the people are kind. Although if I didn’t need money in life I wouldn’t be wasting my time. Who would? Then there’s any work my family gives me. They don’t usually give me work, but that’s why I do it. Aside from that there’s all the school work outside of school. It seems some teachers are beginning to understand that we have lives to live and that no one does homework. It’s all just pointless busy work

Some see school as a fun environment to come to everyday, while others dread to wake up and count down the amount of days until they are out of Hell. The author of “3 Destructive Things School Taught You Without You Even Knowing”, would have picked the second option, based on his article about schools. While there are some good points made throughout the article, to support his feelings, I have to say that he did not convince me.

School is a place where kids learn math, reading, and science and other subjects. School is where kids are in a classroom where they have fun and where they learn. Kids go to school for 5 days of the week, some schools are starting where kids go to school for 4 days of the week. Kids should go to school for 4 days of the week. First, Teachers can have more time to go into detail. Also, Teachers on mondays have training on things to help their students. Finally, Kids have time to do their homework.

We can all agree that school feels like it lasts forever. From the moment you walk into the second you walk out. But just because the final bell rang doesn’t mean that you’re done. You still have to go to practice, and don’t forget the piles of homework that need done. But you see with shorter school days you’d have more spare time to complete school work,

School is considered to be one of the most essential pieces in one’s life in order to flourish in the world. Schooling is the basis for one to find a job in which they can excel later in life. Without school, many are left scrambling to find a high enough paying job in order to make ends meet. The amount of schooling a person has acquired sets the bar for what kind of life they are eager to make for himself or herself. The people who want to succeed highly in life spend over a decade of their life going to school in order to earn diplomas and degrees. The degrees that one gains helps to set up their entire future. Remembering how school was for me always makes me think of my mother. I never wanted to leave the house, as she was severely ill. I never wanted to leave for long periods of time. I would always think the worst in the back of my mind, What if? What if she needed a drink of water and was unable to get it? What if she had an episode and was unable to get to the phone? What if the worst was to happen and I got back home to my mother not ever being there. This was a challenge for me daily. School was all right and all, I did enjoy going to school with my sister every morning. I savored the time I was able to spend with my friends. There are many struggles in our lives, and hardships we must face along the way, this is why we have schools as our future! To help guide us and show us how to make choices easier. I strongly disagree that adding time to our school days is a suitable thing, even though it teaches us about so much. To begin with, it takes up our valuable time that we can use to focus on other things. Also, we have to stay longer at school and that is no fun. Finally, this can be exhausting our bodies and minds need a break. Longer school days will affect everyone and we might make poor decisions. As can be seen, I do not think this is the right thing to do.

Students may not like going to school but, it is for the best. By going to school students can get an education and get a job or go to college and
