Teens are turning 16 and now it's time for everyone to get there license and some get their permit. I feel like the driving age should not be raised because once we are older then we will be more scared to get on the road and drive. From my perspective, I feel scared to drive even though i have my permit, its really difficult for me to get on the freeway. Our permit is a way for us to learn and as we grow wiser we will be mature and take driving as a responsibility. As we grow mature we are able to get the license so we can be out and become conscious of our actions.
My experience with my permit isn't all that great as I would expect. I feel like it's very challenging and I know i have a big responsibility in my hands. I have to be careful
The driving age should stay at 16 because it gives teens freedom. It gives teens freedom because if they don't want to be around there parents they can just leave and go hang out with there friends. If the
The legal driving age should not be raised. The legal age to get a job is sixteen, so it makes sense to also making the legal driving age the same. Parents should not be expected to drive their kids to and from work. Some may argue that they could take public transportation. However, many places, including where I live, do not have daily buses, trains, etc. Another reason the driving age should not be raised is that there are many laws that only affect young drivers that influence them to be responsible. The most accident prone age is 16, which is due to their lack of experience. Raising the legal driving age would just make the new minimum age the most accident prone.
Many teenagers cannot wait for the day they grab ahold of their licenses. They think of many new opportunities they have waiting for them behind the wheel. Teens may use this opportunity for reasons such as driving to school and work or running errands. Yet, sometimes they can get a little careless and cause a safety concern on the road with other commuters. Therefore, the age limit should be raised to the age of eighteen.
I am fully aware that many young adults are eager to get behind the wheel but doing it safely is the best method. Experts claim,” teens in these states may be waiting until they turn 18 to apply for a license because that allows them to bypass the restrictions”. Honestly, this is the reason for which I haven’t studied to receive my permit and get experience behind the wheel, may be also because I’m lazy it is another reason for which I think teens wait until 18. Waking up early on Saturday mornings to get a feel what it’s like is much more simpler than studying for it to get a permit when 16. I personally think I’d be wasting my time, but in this case it is more beneficial for the driver's
The minimum driving age should not be raised or lowered. In Illinois, for example, the driving age is 16 years old. At a first glance, it seems better to wait until teens are older to begin driving. However, it is apparent that no matter what age a person starts driving, it is up to the driver to determine how safely he or she will drive. It would be pointless to raise the driving age for many reasons. The 16-year-old requirement to receive a driver's license is a standard and common rule. All but a few states use this standard. The driving age should be 16 because accidents happen to everyone, 16-year-olds should learn responsibility, 16-year-olds are not the only immature humans, and 16-year-olds have good mental development.
Once I turned 16 years old I started learning the basic rules of the road and driving. I was learning many things without even having to get on the road before I was ready. I was taught by my parents whom which have been driving for 20 years and more with a license. I had to learn the basic fundamentals of how to be responsible for myself and others before getting on the road with other drivers. Once I got enough practice I was driving on the road with supervision until I was able to handle driving on my own. Of course I had restrictions on where I can go and what time I have to be back by. The restrictions didn’t even have to be by law it could be from parents as well. But coming from someone that has been driving for about a year now I believe the driving age should not be raised.
The driving age should be raised because the most likely ages to be involved in an accident are between sixteen and nineteen. The younger the teenager is the higher risk a person is to be in a crash. The reason for this is because of not being mature enough or not a lot of practice. “Those who are most at risk are males, teen driving with teen passengers, and newly license teens” stated National Graduated Driver Licensing. Males usually have a higher risk to be in a crash because they are not mature enough and want to show off to all the girls. They sometimes don’t like to wear seatbelts and when they get into a crash, they won’t survive the
The legal driving age is 16 for most states in the U.S. Experts say that most fatal car crashes are caused from drivers who are too young or drunk. They say 16 year olds lack the maturity and are more likely to be distracted while driving. However, many think that teenagers should be able to have the freedom to drive themselves to the movies and to their friends house. Parents also say it would be very good for their child to get a car so they wouldn’t have to drive their child and their friends every where. Parents have to go to work, not chauffeur their child everywhere.
Did you know that elderly drivers are not required to reapply for their driving licenses? Even though they suffer from diminished vision, hearing, and reaction time. As read in research one of the most common causes of car crashes is the fatigue of driver or excessive speed or slow driving of the vehicle. Perhaps the cause behind all of these car accidents are due to the most respected members of our society, the elderly. In fact maybe the press covers up the truth about certain incidents because they know they will receive a huge amount a of complaints from the crowd because their true message will be misunderstood. A message to educate our people to let them see why requiring a reapplication is so important. See they need to reapply and go
Sixteen, the milestone teens look foward to, it is the first real taste of independence. Currently there is debate as to whether or not the legal driving age should be raised to 18. There are many different aspects that need to be taken int o consideration, such as the guided independence and practice under supervision. Learning to drive as well as learning to be a sucessful adult takes time and practice. Raising the driving age would influence the amout of responsibility a teen has, it would keep teens from gradually gaining their independence, and would cause more accidents.
Driving ages throughout the United States vary state by state. In South Dakota, to obtain a license you only have to be 14 years and three months old. In New Jersey, you have to be 17 years old, but throughout the United States it is pretty consistent that you have to be 16 years old to get a license. Along with a license come many freedoms for a teenager, but also many restrictions. Restrictions such as the times allowed to drive and the amount of passengers allowed in the car are set in place throughout the United States. In South Carolina new drivers cannot drive between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The majority of states have the restriction of no driving between midnight and 5:00 a.m. Vermont is the only U.S. state to have no restriction
All in all the government shouldn't change the driving age. They should keep it the same so people can focus on work, school and becoming independent. Teenagers shouldn't have to rely on people as an adult. When teens turn 18 that's when our life really starts and we don't want to be held back because of
“Unfortunately, we don’t educate drivers enough to be respectful on the road” Mario Andretti once said. Should the minimum driving age change from 16 to 18 years old? Many young teens believe that it should remain at 16. Would it make a difference in two years? If the driving age remains at 16 years old, it will allow young drivers to increase their experience behind the wheel, give them more responsibility, and allow teen drivers to become more independent.
The driving age should not be raised to 18. I think this because i feel that bad driving is not because of teenagers. Bad driving can come from anyone who isn't paying attention to the road of any age. People also over look the elderly and the dangers they can cause to the road. They can be invloved in terrible accidents and can stop up traffic.
In most states people are allowed to drive at 16 and others at 18. Most people don’t think teenagers should be driving at least not until their 18. What is your opinion? Don’t answer that yet because we're going to go over some reasons why and why not. Let's start with some reasons why people should be able to drive at 16.
