The Ethics of Drug Testing Drug testing is the most useful method that employers conduct on their hiring process to examine the overall health results of their potential employees. Blood draws and urine testing are the primary health examinations that employers use to conclude whether any potential candidate has been abusing drugs. The method supports employers comply with the federal law, and prevent further disputes. Although there are protests against drug testing due to personal privacy, the testing method is appreciated by several politicians and law agencies. While drug testing may reveal personal privacy, the benefit behind this method is that employer ensure their employees are not engaging with illegal drugs, the safety of employees, and legal issues in the future.
According to Kitterlin, Moll, and Moreno (2015) Coca-Cola conducts drug test on their potential candidates to examine such drug abuse to fulfill with the federal law and protect their image accordingly. Violation of this law code that may cause the firm face a massive fine by the government (Kitterlin et. al, 2015).
