I am very thankful that I am under consideration for the National Honor Society; I understand the values of NHS and I hope that you can see leadership, scholarship, service and my character in this essay and consider to make me a part of Keystone’s National

Many only see the National Honor Society as an organization that will look excellent on college applications, and although that may be true, the National Honor Society is not an organization that can be taken so lightly. The National Honor Society is so much more than a scholarship-granting organization, the NHS is an organization that helps develop the requisite for render service and the development of leadership and character. The growth and success of the NHS relies on not only its members, but also those outside of the organization. Its members can only do so much on their own. Part of building character and leadership is to encourage and rely on others whom are capable of helping. The members of NHS shouldn’t let their pride and achievements

Reaching my goal in becoming a member of the National Honor Society would give me a great sense of pride both academically and personally. As a person I have ambition, academic excellence, and great decision making skills to offer NHS. I have been striving to do my academic best for a chance to be in the NHS, I show this with my 3.5 GPA. The National Honor Society is based off four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character.

Although I have only been in National Honors Society since last spring, I believe I have nevertheless demonstrated the kind of commitment to the community that NHS members exemplify. Throughout high school, I have been involved in many school-related and independent charitable activities. I have participated for the past three years in the annual Feed My Starving Children food packing event at the high school, one year staying late to seal the 300,000th meal so we could reach our goal. I have volunteered for Osceola Public Library on numerous occasions, and I have also volunteered for the Books for Africa and Operation Christmas charities.

NHS is an organization made up of students who regularly demonstrate the four pillars of NHS: Character, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. Saydel’s chapter of NHS should model outstanding service and leadership within our school and community. Doing so will create a positive environment amongst our community members and students. Utilizing my strong leadership abilities, I believe I can help our chapter of NHS flourish. My strength in organization, self-determination, and ability to engage others will make me a great asset to our NHS

The National Honor Society (NHS) is a longstanding nationwide organization that provides students, such as myself, an opportunity to be recognized for their outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. The organization allows for students to excel outside of the classroom through many activities. It provides students, actively involved in the NHS, an opportunity to positively affect the lives of others through the various community service activities that are organized throughout the school year. The NHS will also function as an outlet to network with my fellow peers and teachers who are like-minded in the pursuit of success.

NHS serves those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. NHS is a great opportunity for students to serve the community. I have plans to improve MHS National Honor Society and make it even better. To make NHS better I would make sure that students get to know everyone and not just stay with their friends, I would make sure that the service projects are helpful to the community, and I would make sure that the activities interest the students into coming.

National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students, which was established in 1921 by Principal Edward S. Rynearson. NHS was originally founded on the principles to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, promote responsibility and leadership, and develop character in students. NHS is a wonderful opportunity for me and I believe that I would be an excellent member able to present valuable contributions to the program.

The National Honor Society is an organization that serves the community while building the character of the individuals who are members. The National Honor Society provides the opportunity for a member to serve their community, and earn experience that will influence the rest of their life. Individuals are not separate from their community, and the NHS will provide its members with the opportunities to enrich the community together. As an individual, my capacity to serve my community is limited by individual talents, but as a member of the NHS I will better be able to serve my community in a group of like-minded individuals with different talents and abilities. On Oct. 21, students were selected to be in National Honor Society during a “tapping” ceremony at the high school. Almost all of the students and staff at GHV are in attendance of the ceremony and act as onlookers. During this ceremony, students who are either juniors or seniors meeting the NHS requirements and having submitted an application wait in anticipation as current members walk around the auditorium delivering paper slips of admission.

They are to be a good example, help the community, achieve high standards, and, lead by example. You must be a good example to inspire others to work hard and be better people as a whole. Helping the community is one of the most important. Helping the community is a great way to get out there, find new friends, become an inspiration, and help people's lives, no matter how small the task. NHS members have to achieve high standards.

While being a member of NHS, I have become proficient in juggling academics along with other activities such as extracurriculars and community involvement. Not only has National Honor Society made me gain a deeper sense of responsibility in my academics, it has made me realize that with hard work and strong worth ethics, I can achieve my academic goals at any level of education.

National Honors Society as a whole was a concept I had been keen to ever since I was young, even before my high school school years. I had witnessed through the mainstream media that being a member of NHS was a profound achievement; it was only obtained by the brightest and most intelligent individuals and I could not wait to wear that honorary badge of honor. The junior year of my high school career marked the year I was finally granted membership. Compared to most of the other members, I was quite the late

The function of an organization such as the National Honor Society is to educate students on leadership skills and provide ample opportunities to get involved and further enhance success. NHS can be a platform for students to showcase their commitment to advanced education and indulge in helping the community. Consuming factors of NHS include community service opportunities, leadership practices, teamwork, and the drive for growth and progress towards our futures. I expect that NHS can bring great opportunities like possible scholarships and academic and characteristic recognition. If selected to take part in the National Honor Society, I intend to contribute my enthusiasm for the importance of positively making an impact on the community,
