Educational Biography One of my very first memories as a child was going to music class with my mother when I was in kindergarten. We went every Mondays and Wednesdays during night. I loved singing songs and clapping my hands, I couldn’t wait to go back when it was all over. That brought me into piano lessons, which started in 1st grade till 9th grade; I could play all day if I could. My whole family is very musical and during Christmas we get all of our friends together and play Christmas songs. In Canada our grade system was a bit different, it went JK, SK, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, etc. I was always so sad on the last day of school because I wouldn’t see all of my friends until the first day of the next grade. …show more content…
Finding out what type of personality type I am has showed me why I act the way I do sometimes and solidate that event planning is the right career for me. I am honestly taking this class because I had to. Although if I knew what I would have been learning I would have signed up on my own months ago! It helps to have my best friend in the class also, Sierra Langbehn. Sierra and I didn’t get along at first, honestly… we did not like each other at all, but through the years and maturing up a whole lot we noticed that we have so much in common. In our senior year of high school together we did things together all the time, and now that we are in college its harder to keep in touch, but we still go for lunches here and there and try our best to keep in …show more content…
Jordan and my family have noticed that quite a bit since I’ve started college. Since my work closes at 11 or 12, I don’t get home till late and then I have assignments to do which causes me to not get enough sleep. I need to work on my stress levels more and control my anger when I’m tired or just push my limit. School always comes first, but it’s hard when life keeps going and you just need a second to take a moment. Strengths that I do posses are that I always get everything done on time, even if its last minute. I feel that being an extravert is a strength; I love being a team leader and being involved in group discussion and projects. I am trying so hard this year to get good grades so I can get either in to Arizona State University or Northern Arizona University. My motivation and determination keeps me going and I just remind myself every night to try my hardest in everything I do, so I can reach my goals to be successful in
In addition to my personal challenges my personal strengths interfer. A personal strength I have is talking , I love sharing my opinion. Another personal strength I have is giving good advice because I love helping people solve their problem or help make their lives easier. Lastly another personal strength I have is just listening because I am a good person to vent to because I don’t judge. Therefore I always spread positivity and lean a hand.
Personally I believe that I am organised, I always carry round a diary, where I note down important dates and deadlines, and therefore allowing me to manage my time more efficiently. Another strength that I have is that I know how to operate a computer and I know how to use a computer effectively, at GCSE I got a B in my exam in Information and Technology, therefore giving me an advantage compared to someone who do not know how to use the computer. I also believe that I am confident, and that I have courage and the ability to speak to new people and adapt myself to a new environment without feeling uncomfortable. As well as that, I am also able to work in a group, where I can listen to my members in my group as well as voice my own opinion.
My strengths are my self-confidence, determination, organization, and ability to prioritize. Balancing an overloaded school schedule, upwards of 24 credits in a semester, maintaining excellent grades, raising a toddler, and volunteering are demonstrative of my greater fortes. In terms of weaknesses, public speaking has always been difficult for me, as well as networking. I have branched outside of my comfort zone, engaged in volunteer opportunities, student organizations, and clubs as an effort to improve upon this.
Strength: I am very good at asking questions and pulling information from the opposing side. I have also improved in trying to build a golden bridge and trying to work out the issues with the other side, instead of arguing with the other party about why my interests are correct.
Strength: I try to take criticism well. I am open to changing my mindset and irrational behavior. I try to make the best of bad situations. I try to implement feedback into my life in some way.
A lot of people think education is just something you get in school, but in reality education comes from different places and people not just school and teachers. For example, way before I started school I was already being educated by my parents, they taught me how to eat, behave, use the bathroom, talk, and a lot of other things that help out in life.
2. One of my greatest strengths is as a problem-solver. I am able to set my mind directly to the problem at hand and find a solution within a reasonable amount of time with little or no help at all. When in high school, the times of classes I wanted to take one semester did not align together so I hand the choice
What are your strengths and weaknesses? My strengths are I am a Good listener, Dependable, and good with computers. Also, I am a good problem solver, and good at figuring things out by myself. My weakness is I am bad at presenting in front of classes.
The strengths that I believe to possess would be understanding my emotions of my friends and myself. I have always been in touch with what I am feeling and I hope to be a friend that can be called upon in times of need. I also believe that I am quite easy going and am always up to socialise which is also a strength that my friends would associate with me also. I hope that these strengths provide me with the relevant skills that a good person and friend possess, which is what I strive to be.
I would say that my greatest personal strengths are scattered throughout a wide area. I
By taking the Strengthsfinder survey I found that my five strengths are; achiever, belief, responsibility, communications, and consistency (Clifton, Anderson, Schreiner, 2016). I will show how I am going to utilize these strengths in my life.
One of the earliest memories of music is my dad playing piano as we went to sleep. He is a fantastic pianist, and he would play these intricate melodies of the classical composers. As I grew older, I would sit on the piano bench with him, my mom, or older sibling, and I would play on one end of the piano while they were playing. I would pretend I was contributing to the beautiful sound that they were creating.
Trying to decide what your personal strengths are, is hard. For myself, I have grown in my strengths, and I’ve experienced my weaknesses. My personal strengths consist of: positivity, encouragement, laughter, and love. I pick these four because I feel that I am truly strongest in these aspects of my life. Being positive is a big factor in everything I do. I always want to be happy and joyful; not only to display Christ in me, but to make others feel the way I do. I want others to appreciate life and to feel any kind of uplift in his or her spirt. Positivity plays into encouragement. I make it my goal to make others feel better about themselves. My goal coming into college was to learn and know every person(s) name that I got the chance to meet. Just taking a few minutes out of your day to truly get to know someone, is such a blessing. It not only blesses me in new friendships, but it also blesses others because they feel that someone genuinely cares about them. Laughter is another characteristic I strive to pour out onto others. I laugh at practically everything. I love to laugh, and I love to make people laugh. I’ve learned the importance of laughter, and I just want to make one person smile every day. Love is my last of the four attributes. Love is so important to me. I love creation (Trees, birds, squirrels), God, and I love people. I just want the love that God has given me, to pour out onto others. I want others to know that I love them. These are my personal strengths
Living with an open mind also helps me be more creative. It lets me look at the world around me with fresh eyes, and it helps me gain confidence in myself and my own ideas.
My personal strengths are that I am a keen learner and organized person because like Benjamin Franklin I believe that if I fail to plan then I am planning to fail. Above all I am confident that I have made the right choice and that I am a suitable candidate for
