Educational and Career Goals As a student in the GHS band program, success and putting my best efforts in everything I do is what I strive for everyday. Whether it be in the band hall working on all region audition music, leading my section to excellence, or in the classroom working to understand and attain material, I always put my best foot forward in trying to be the best I can be. My educational goals include short term goals to help lead me to succeed in my long term goals. One of my short term goals is to conquer everyday assignments, so when it comes to the end of the six weeks I don't have low grades dragging my average down. Bell ringers have the same importance to me as tests do. Ultimately, I plan on this mindset helping me succeed
My educational goals were to get a certificate in Health Information Technology as a certified coder. But I change my mind and decided to get my associates degree because it provides me with more opportunities in the field. I can choose many different careers such as health information analyst, insurance claims analyst, records technician specialist, etc. With this degree I can improve my family financial situation and be an example to my children that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything.
I would like to be a teacher because I have always been the one that’s eager to make a difference, I want to be the teacher that children remember for the rest of their life even after school. The love that I have always had for children is what drew me to teaching and the love that I have for learning is where I got my passion to teach. I have been inspired by many teachers in the past who has had a positive impact on my life and these are the ones that I have viewed as a mentor, leader and even as a parent. One particular reason that I chose to pursue a career in the education field is because I believe that when teachers work individually and collectively they have the ability to improve and change the world.
For my educational plans, I have a clear understanding and vision of where I want to go and who I have the desire to be. I believe Indian River State is an excellent place to begin my journey and recieve my education in order to better prepair myself for what is yet to come. After I recieve my Associates degree from Indian River, I plan to transfer to the University of South Florida in order to extend my education and potentially recieve my Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Nursing.
Going to college has been a dream of mine growing up. I am the first ever in my family to go to college but figuring out how to pay for it has been a challenge. I desire to achieve my academic and career goals and this scholarship can help me succeed in my journey.
If a student wants to succeed at school, it’s an excellent tool to learn and set short-term and long-term goals because it reveals what you expect from yourself. I set day-to-day goals to prevent feeling overwhelmed, have a greater understanding of the material, and assisting in achieving long-term
My academic goal is to graduate Argosy University with a bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology in three years time. Forensic Psychology is the study of the criminal mind, in a nutshell. The main motivation to achieve this goal would be intrinsic. I love asking questions and knowing the answers as to why people do what they do, and in a criminals case, what led them to committing the crime. This goal, however, may have some extrinsic motivation as well. Being knowledgeable about certain behaviors that criminals poses may help solve or even prevent a crime. In addition, having a degree will help open different paths in life, ones that may present me with greater job opportunities. My attitude toward the learning process will help my achievement of each goal because I am eager, determined and motivated. My greatest desire is to succeed in life, and obtaining an education is one thing I know will help me. I perhaps will need to make some adjustments along my journey. I do not know yet if I will find another educational path that intrigues me the most. For now, I do not feel that any adjustments need to be made.
What are your specific career goals for the future? How does this scholarship fit into your plans to achieve these goals?
I am currently a student at Barton Peveril college studying: Biology , Psychology and Sociology. I chose these subjects because I enjoy science and I have a particular interest in child development and behaviour, due to these interests I am keen to pursue a career in education as a primary school teacher. I particularly enjoy psychology, so far we have investigated: child development and behaviour. Within this we learnt how children of different ages are able to learn different things at different stages. For example a child does not acquire the cognitive ability to conserve until over the age of seven. This is where they understand that something stays the same in quantity even though its appearance changes.I found this particularly interesting because younger children would think that the amount has changed because the appearance has changed.

My educational and career goals consist of waking up every morning with a smile on my face knowing I am in the position I’ve always desired. I want my career to be something I enjoy doing rather than something I am forced to do because of my financial situation. I want to improve myself through higher education and be able to display my degrees to inspire others to pursue a career. I want to graduate from college with a master’s degree in nursing or social work. Throughout my life, my mother has always been my number one supporter. My mother has always advised me to follow my dreams and not allow anyone to criticize my career. Indeed, I saw my parents struggle and tolerate discrimination to provide for my sister and I for many years. I don’t
As a six-year veteran of the US Army, I have taught and instructed people from multi-cultural backgrounds, vastly different education levels, and without regard to age all while traversing language barriers, cultural, and social norms, with great success. In my pursuit to continuously better myself, I have dedicated my educational goals to understanding what motivates people in the dynamic environments they find themselves. As well, my graduate thesis, titled “The Ethical Choice: Who Should Decide the Fate of Youth Sexual Assault Victims Who Become Pregnant?” gave me an impeccable foundation in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
After receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, I plan to further my education through UNC Charlotte’s M.Ed. in Special Education, Major in Academically or Intellectually Gifted program. I then aspire to teach in CMS schools, serving the needs of Academically or Intellectually Gifted children specifically. My career goals in the field of education are to start out teaching my own class and gaining invaluable experience in the classroom. After a numbers of years working with a large group of my own students, I strive to move to a position in which I am part of a program targeted specifically at meeting the academic needs of AIG students.
First of all hello, I’m currently a high school senior planning to attend college in the fall. Goals are described as an aim or a desired result, but they're more than that, they can change a person's life. A goal gives a person hope for the future. Right now I’m going to graduate from high school and the next huge step I’ll take is go to college. Continuing my education and becoming successful in my profession. Being able to cross off my goals one by one
I am pursuing college education because I know it is the way to have a comfortable life in the future. I learned, in the world we live in today we need education. I am grateful to have fee waiver and I will not take it for granted because without it I don’t think I’ll be able to pay my tuition by myself. But if necessary I would work full time and be a part time student just to be able to achieve education.
