It also helps to remove waste products we do not need. If the heart does not work properly multiple organs would not be able to function. The most common type of heart disease in America it has been estimated killing over 370,000 people is Coronary heart disease 1.More than 600,000 people die of heart disease in the United States which is approximately 1 in every 4 deaths 1. Is our heart failing or are we failing our heart? Everyone wants to maintain a healthy heart that functions well. People do not intend on damaging their heart. But few bad habits such as smoking or drinking alcohol can cause a negative impact on our hearts. For example, cigarette smoking is very common in America7.
