Night by Elie Wiesel is a book that follows Wiesel and his father through many German concentration camp during the Holocaust. Like other resources about the Holocaust, it gives an inside look on what Jews and others went through and can be used as a research tool to learn about the Second World War.
One source that I have watched following the Holocaust is The Boy In The Striped Pajamas by John Boyne. Wiesel's book has the same main point as Boynes but is actually very different. Although they both follow more of a child's perspective, the character’s backgrounds are very different.
Unlike Night, Boyne's book follows a wealthy, German boy who lives near a concentration camp and is completely clueless of how one of the jews that he meets

It briefly talks about his life prior to he and his family being taken from their homes.The novel then tells us about the awful journey Eliezer, the main character, goes through while being a victim of the holocaust. The book is placed in a holocaust camp for the most part, but it starts off in Hungary which is where Eliezer and his family is from. The story is based in one main concentration camp and towards the end they are forced to go to another concentration camp. . The book talks about everything Eliezer experiences

Eliezer explains how the Nazis treated them like they were animals, made them work hard, and fed them little food. (the food given to them was only bread and soup). With the book written from a victim's point of view after everything happened, reader’s they are able to go step-by-step through the daily walk as a victim.
