My fourth block class has been one of the times that I look forward to each and everyday, it is `English Honors 9. There are several reasons why I look forward to it, them being the freedom, independence, and creativeness the class provides to me. Although the class has been interesting there are a few things I don’t enjoy don’t for example, the due dates and the workload of the class. Consequently, minor changes can occur to make this class a better experience for my peers and I. English 9 honors has mostly affected my schedule and time management for me. There are lots of different ways in which I find independent learning positive in our classroom environment. First of all, I benefit from the variety of choices my teacher provides to us …show more content…
There are no specific due dates provided to the students that help them keep on track of assignments. Although there is a big due date of when all the assignments for a book is due, it can make us students very vulnerable to get off task in class. This magnifies the problem of our group getting behind on where we should be. As peers get off task, they distract others which can create an unhelpful work environment. I, for one, always feel tempted to work on other homework when I don’t feel like doing any more work for english. It is likely for students to do other work for other classes as the teacher doesn’t always keep an eye on us at all times. To prevent issues like this, I suggest that our teacher should provide recommended due dates for those who need a little bit of guidance to stay on track with managing their time. This will push students who need it to move forward every night with the assignments advocated. Another way that will prevent peers getting distracted from one another are limitations of where to work around the school. This will help students not talk with one another when working. Finally, I think that if our teacher provided us with more discussion questions for each chapter, that would really enhance our learning experience. I’m sure, this class will provide students with a fun learning environment while getting them ready for later English
Eighth grade and ninth grade are nothing alike. They are not alike because in eighth grade the eighth graders are the oldest students there. It is also different because since they are the oldest they get the most respect. In ninth grade the ninth graders are the youngest and get the least respect. In ninth grade or freshman year the students are new to the school and you don't really know anyone but your friends. To get through your first year as a freshman you must make a lot of friends and have good relationships with all your friends. Something that can help make you many friends is joining clubs or teams.Another way to get through freshman year is by helping other students on homework and classwork. If you are done with classwork
It is a very obvious fact that some students decide to drop out. But many people think it’s because they’re not doing their work, although that is the partial reason they don’t know when this starts. Freshmen year is essential in deciding whether a student drops out or stays in school to graduate. In this Essay I will be giving some examples of why Ninth Grade is the most important year of High School and how it will affect their future

It is not difficult to figure out what the liberal arts are; all it took was a simple google search and the definition was brought up instantly. Liberal arts are academic subjects such as literature, philosophy, mathematics, and social and physical sciences as distinct from professional and technical subjects. I am not majoring in any of these subjects and I hardly have any classes such as these in my schedule so I decided I needed to look up definitions that actually pertain to me. The definition of a liberal arts college was just as easy to find as the last one. A liberal arts college is a college with an emphasis on undergraduate study in the liberal arts and sciences. A liberal arts college aims to impart a broad general knowledge and

1889, that’s when the long history of Columbia City High School starts. Columbia City High School is a very old school with very rich history, but it's time to turn over a new stone. Since this dilapidated school has reached a point when it's become of ill repair and there’s nothing more to do. The numerous problems that plague CCHS are constant. The final straw was pulled, the city has decided to build a new high school within the next three years. This is a large project that current high school students won’t be able to participate in but should still try the help as much as possible.
I am interested in taking English 9 Honors because I hope my future career will be based on English skills such as writing and reading. In my future, I hope to be a lawyer, which is a more difficult job and I will need an advanced level of English skills. I thought taking an advanced level of English will help me reach my goal of becoming a lawyer. I also decided to take this class because I really love and understand the topic of English. I have always loved to read on my own time and in school and adored writing, from poems to stories and many other writing forms. Since I have the pretty good understanding of English I want to work harder to learn more about English skills. In English 9 honors my expectations regarding this class is a more
As a high school student, I am dismayed to say that I believe much of my time has been wasted fulfilling the demands of classes that were not valuable to me. I believe it would be smart to acknowledge that students may sometimes have preexisting knowledge that is adequate for a subject and that they should be allowed to “Test Out.” All schools have required classes that any student who want to graduate must pass. I have spent countless hours filling out papers and doing busy work, all of that being time that I could’ve used to pursue my personal interests or god forbid, get some sleep. I understand that this is not the usual case but I think many of my classmates would agree that they have experienced at least one class in which they didn’t learn enough to justify an entire semester or year of sitting in a desk.
Life as a middle school student will be totally different from the high school life. These are two different things and way more things will be expected from each and every student now that we are in high school. It will not be as easy as middle school was because when coming to the high school students will have to face hard challenges that might throw them off because they are not use to it. After a couple of week of experiencing high school it will start to get a little easier. Do not to expect high school to go by easy as middle school. If my word could get to the upcoming 8th graders about life at Spartanburg High School I would warn them about academics, sports, and friendships.
Bullying in Middle School in Revere, Massachusetts. Bullying on school ground is a big problem here in Revere. Middle school students have been reporting to parents and teachers that their are bullies who are their main concerns. They would be physcially and verbally attacking them any way possible. To avoid any causes that may affect bullying victims, we should solve the issue by having a plan laid out for bullies kids. If the problems are not going to be fixed students can be at risk. Their lives can be in danger. How can we address and fixed this situation to save kids who are getting bully in school. What can we do to protect students from bullies.
These are my plans to succeed in the rest of the 8th grade school year.
There is an issue here in the U.S to most people. You may or may not be having this issue and you may or may not agree with this issue. But, there is a problem with school times. Some students are going to school too early, and this can lead to some issues. Students will have worse health and have worse academics if school times are early in the morning.
During my 8th grade year, I learned a lot that I did not know before. My 7th grade year I would consider it was my hardest year yet. The fun thing about this year is you learn so many new things. Most of our teachers chose to do so in a fun way. Also, each teacher will help you find ways to study. In my essay I will specify that you need to make sure that you are on time to your classes, always do your homework, and study for your tests.
