“Oh…” Nikki replied
They walked into the church and set up their amps and microphones. Then soon enough more youth people walked into the room. There were about 50 teenagers in the room When it was time to start. Nikki couldn't see Toby in the room, but it was time for her performance to start so she took a deep breath and stepped onto the stage!
“You got this, I know you’re nervous but you got this”, she said to herself.
She took her place in front of the microphone and started strumming away about halfway through her last song she saw the church doors open and there walked Toby into the room with his guitar and his mom right next to him. He was almost bleach blonde with bright blue eyes, that looked like you were looking at the

With that she picked up her guitar case and purse and walked out of the room.
That night Toby searched Nikki up on Facebook and found her number. So he typed her number into his phone and texted “hey this is Toby, that guy at the church this afternoon… Is this Nikki?” Then she replied with “Hey Toby, and yess this is Nikki.” Nikki and Toby talked a little more and decided to make a band. Toby had a band before but they all got split up. The good news was that Toby was still friends with the drummer of his old band named Emmet. Emmet was deaf, with bright strawberry red hair. Nikki,Toby, and Emmett then decided to start a band to unite their music. A week after the band formed and they had came up with a band name that suited it perfectly. They called it Awesome Sauce. It was the day of the band’s third practice. They had already ran through all of their songs.
“ Hey, well I have to go bible study will start soon.” Nikki said
“Oh ok, well i’ll see you tomorrow right ,” Toby asked
“ What, yea of course see ya,” Nikki said with a smile as she walked out the door
When Nikki left Emmett walked up to Toby with a nervous look on his face. Toby looked at Emmett questionably.
“Hey, is everything alright man,” Toby asked nervously
“Umm, actually I have to show you something I found of Nikki on the
The lights went out and white smoke filled the air. The huge moving screen lit up with Beyoncé’s face coming on and off the big white screen. Then the white screen started to rotate revealing Beyoncé and her background dancers with wide brim hats going up and down. She starts singing “formation” and throughout the crowd you hear screams of
When Trisha saw the boys on the stage, she exclaimed; "Finally, a group of students who can act". Bernice; my sister's best friend, is giving us a ride to school. Because I had a dentist appointment at 1:30 pm. I had to leave school early. The invitation said to go to 117 Donner Creek road in Fresno, but Sinclair couldn’t find that address. Uncle Carl said; "We would like you to come to the reunion", but my mom told him that we would not be able to make it. Wow that is a great idea. I’d love to join you but, I have a softball tournament that
My ideas and thoughts about Africa had been changed after I listened to Adichie’s speech. The way she described the danger of a single story was very inspiring to me, and I could relate many of the experiences I had to her story. I was born in Pakistan and moved to the U.S. in 2007. When I came to the U.S. I lived in Virginia and went to Freedom Hill Elementary School. On the first day of school I sat next to an Indian kid named Sai and he didn’t want to sit next to me he told the teacher that are countries didn’t like each other so he wanted to sit somewhere else, but are teacher said she didn’t want to hear any of it. So during the year we had to work on many things as partners, and we got along great we had many things in common and at the end of the year we became pretty good friends. At the beginning he probably heard some things about my country and he just assumed that I was the person he heard from those stories, and after meeting me he had a different understanding of it. Soon after the year ended my dad found a better job in California so we moved here. I lived in Alameda and went to wood middle. The school I went to was very diverse and this time I wasn’t the only Muslim
"Later." he replied putting his headphones back on, resuming whatever he was doing. You walked back down the hallway and gave Stacy another thank you and goodbye.
Pat starts to become uninterested in continuing with the dance competition, which makes Tiffany upset as she was looking forward to it. In order for Pat to dance in the competition, Tiffany and Pat’s parents lie and tell him that Nikki will be there. Soon after, Pat notices that the letters from “Nikki” were actually written by Tiffany, making him angry and confused as he was doing this all for her. A few days after, at the competition, to everyone’s surprise, Nikki did in fact attend the dance competition and Pat is excited to see her. Tiffany is upset that Nikki is there and is not sure if she wants to preform but Pat drags
As soon as they got settled in she turned on the movie and told Anthony she was scared, and he put his arms around her.
It all started on one cold, exotic, saturday night. She had gone with her friends to a rodeo in the quiet town of Eureka. She had gotten VIP seats because it was her friend Eve’s birthday, and Eve had to help sing the national anthem. She watched as Eve sang beautifully, and held her part like she had never had a problem. Afterwards, Eve came back and sat by Alaina and the rest of the girls, which consisted of Morgan and Sam. They had just started talking
He offered the hint of a smile as a parting goodbye, before walking back up the steps and into the kitchen, closing the basement door behind him.
She had no idea what to do. All of the instruments were freezing up and nobody was donating money. It was as if nobody noticed they were there, ringing their bells. The band had to collect at least one fifty dollars of donations by the next day, for Salvation army. Finally, Chloe spoke up and said “I think we should just go home, nobody will donate any money and we’re not going to have enough for Salvation Army.” So, the band packed up and left with only a couple of dollars in hand.
Have you ever felt like you single-storied a person? A single-story is when you judge someone based upon their looks or where they are from. It is like a label. The problem about single-storying is you don’t even know the person. I have to admit, I know I have single-storied someone. You are just literally putting them into a category of what you believe they belong in. In this essay, I will be referring to the speech “The Danger of a Single Story” . This speech is by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. She describes how her life was in Nigeria and how she came to the United States. Ahichie was single-storied about where she come from and her heritage. This relates to how I characterized a person due to how they lived and where they come from. I’m going to tell you a story about the time I single-storied someone.
“What’s going on?” Katie, one of the other barmaids, asked as Ella headed back to her work. She shook her head and shrugged her shoulders.
“See you.” she answered. And with that I went upstairs to tell Jace and Madeleine closed her book.
Then the show started. The band showed up as a group of five, one female and four males. Also, they are all
Ash grinned at his Pokémon's determination. "Alright then. Start with an Agility!" Pikachu ran circles around Squirtle, showing his superior speed. Gary wasn't impressed.
Today, I will tell you about a true story. It is about Samuel ZeMichael that I met some time before. I heard about him from a person that I highly respect (Meseret). She is a founder and General Manager of a local humanitarian organization (MHO). I am an active volunteer at this organization and usually visit her office to extend my support. She told me lots of interesting things about him. She used to talk about his qualities often when we meet to discuss about her work. She even told me her plan to nominate him to be an ambassador for her charitable work.
