Cause of World War 1 One of the most infamous causes of world war one, also known as the war to end all wars, were most likely first started out by hatred and revenge, and not just by one country but by mostly all. This war was said to be inevitable, but there were few major causes that started it. World war one was on the most gruesome, terrifying and greatest war to ever exist. So much so that it was started as a war to end all wars, but it changed nothing, this are some of the major reasons that the war started. The question is what were the most causes of the war to start or what was the major cause of it? Before the assassination other country, there were already uneasy with within each other, such as Serbia and Austria-Hungary and where it all began. On the morning of June 28, 1914, the Archduke of austria's car was fired upon by one of the Serbian assassins, archduke and his wife were killed. Thies assassination was in hope that there would be rebellion in Austria but later lead to a four long years of war and millions of lives lost. It not only triggered the act of war, but also is the starting point of how it all started, since Russia aided the Serbians; they declared war on Austria and from Germany aided the Austrians, they declared war on Serbia and Russia, soon after since Russia were allied with France and Britain, france declared war on Germany and Austria-Hungary, soon Britain joined the fight with them as well, later over the years more countries such as united states and others joined the fight.
