Everyone will love American Sniper
My all-time favorite war movie is called American Sniper. American Sniper is based on a real life story about Chris Kyle also known as Bradley Cooper. It tells the story of his life from being a little boy to risking his life to save our country. American Sniper is a must see movie because of the realistic scenes, the problems that occur at home and at war, and the serious times.
The reason you should definitely watch American Sniper is that the movie is just so realistic. The movie is mainly filmed in the middle of Iraq and some parts in California during the summer time. The blurry view of the terrorist in an abandoned ally way with bombs exploding in the background are undeniably accurate. The war scenes are definitely spot on. In one scene the marines are busting down doors to secure the premises and come to find terrorists hiding in an old run down house is too lifelike. “Where this film shines, in my opinion, was in the degree of accuracies it had in its presentation” (Davis).
The admired interest of the movie is its usage of life-like events

Although the movie is mostly serious there are humorous scenes. The bar scene for instance. “These flashbacks form the film’s most conventional stretch, including a tartly humorous scene at a bar where Kyle charms his way past the defenses of the beautiful Taya (Sienna Miller), despite her early claim that she’d never date one of those “arrogant, self-centered pricks” who call themselves SEALs” (Chang). Taya (Sienna Miller) claims she will not ever date a SEAL, she soon falls in love and spends the rest of her life with
It is clear that above all else, Private Ryan is intended to create an awareness of the sacrifice of the soldiers that gave their lives during World War II. In doing that, Steven Spielberg very successfully in brings out intense
The term “sniper” means someone who shoots from a hiding place at a long range with extreme accuracy. It is said that it takes the average sniper only 1.3 bullets to kill his target. In the military the sniper has two jobs. The first job is to deliver long range fire on selected targets. The second job is is to collect and report information about the battlefield. Snipers have been used in the united states military as far back as the American Civil War, but they were called sharpshooters then. From then to now both their techniques and technology have changed together.
Saving Private Ryan will always be remembered among the best war movies ever made. It does what every prodigious war movie should, it takes a realistic look at war and shows us the horrific side of war intelligently. The plot is marvelously original; eight men are sent behind enemy lines to rescue one soldier, Private Ryan (Matt Damon). Ryan is the only remaining son in his family; his three brothers have all died in action recently. Gen. George Marshall is so touched by Mrs. Ryan’s dilemma, who unfortunately learns of the deaths of her three sons on the same day, and orders that her only remaining heir, Ryan, be returned home immediately. The holdup to the plan is that Ryan parachuted into Normandy on D-Day, and the Army has no idea where Ryan is or if he is
The movie American sniper is produced by Bradley Cooper, Clint Eastwood, Peter Morgan, Robert Lorenz, Andrew Lazar. American Sniper was released in 2014, and America feels sympathy for this unfortunately true story. American sniper is about a Navy S.E.A.L, Chris Kyle, who is played by award winning Bradley Cooper. Chris Kyles is a confirmed sniper legend, taking on four tours in Iraq to protect his comrades. He faces much internal conflict in this time period. He also faces conflict with his wife, Taya. In the end, Chris Kyle is shot by another veteran while helping him cope with his mental illness. TRANSISTION STATEMENT.TRANSISTION STATEMENT. TRANSISTION STATEMENT.American sniper portrays a variety
American Sniper by Chris Kyle, is one of the most accurate depictions of the life in special
For the assignment of the week, we were presented a few videos to choose from. I chose the one titled "Sniper 101 Part 52 bullet seating, and crimping." The video is provided by way of youtube.com, and was uploaded on 28 May 13 by TiborasaurusRex (unsure of real name). He is also the narrator of the video.
In the movie Chris Kyle heroically kills Mustafa and calls his wife saying that he is ready to come home and that he is too depressed to continue the war effort (Eastwood). In reality Chris Kyle returned home because his marriage was falling apart and he wanted to save it (The American Sniper). When he comes home, he helps veteran marines and spends time with them. In the movie, Chris Kyle is killed by a fellow army veteran who shoots Chris Kyle on February 2, 2013 at a Texas gun range. The fourth tour along with post war events were mostly accurate unlike the previously mentioned two
Saving Private Ryan is a theatrical masterpiece that incorporates many universal themes that almost all people can relate to. The movie follows a squad of U.S. soldiers as they battle through the trenches of World War II. Directed by the great Stephen Spielberg, the movie is claimed by many to be the most accurate presentation of war in any movie to date. The movie includes several themes that helps captivate the audience and truly help people understand just how horrible war is. The idea of losing loved ones frightens even the toughest of us, and being lost in a foreign land scares many others. Both of these themes are thoroughly explored and propelled onto the audience to experience. The extremely accurate depiction of war, the universal themes that everyone can relate to, and the film being a theatrical masterpiece are all reasons why everyone should watch Saving Private Ryan.
The film American Sniper portrays the life of a US Navy S.E.A.L. sniper Chris Kyle who was deployed to Iraq after the events of 9/11. The movie shows the life of Kyle before his deployment to Iraq. He was a Texan rodeo cowboy who later joined the military after watching a news film of an attack on a US embassy. After passing his BUD/s as a S.E.A.L., he meets Taya at a bar who later becomes his wife. After the attack on the World Trade Center, Kyle’s team is deployed to Iraq and is assigned to take out Al Qaeda forces.
The record-shattering, 2,100-yard shot, was made by the legend, Chris Kyle. That shot is the length of 21 whole football fields, with that, everything you can imagine comes into play to prevent you from killing a deadly enemy. In both the real event and the movie, Chris Kyle, a Navy Seal Sniper, completed that unbelievable shot. Other than these two big differences, the movie and the real event are very similar. The main two differences were added events to the movie and changed character emotions towards events in the movie to emphasize the effects of war. Director Clint Eastwood used the same characters in the movie, American Sniper, but the director added some events and changed character’s emotions towards some events to emphasize
Matt Taibbi's opinions relate well to mine because i'm not usually a crazy person when it comes to war movies. But “American Sniper” changed my views on that. Since my uncle is a veteran, I never really get excited about war movies for the reason that millions are just riding waves of war curiosity and guilt; while telling their over-sensationalized story, rather than the real story. As Taibbi wrote how the effect from the movie creates many cheers and tears for the audience, and I agree with that. The part that got to me the most is when Cooper displayed classic signs of a veteran who doesn't enjoy being thanked. He immediately deeply retreats upon being recognized and becomes politely evasive. On behalf of Kyle Smith, I understood how he
Before reading the book American Sniper, I would tell you I was aware of what are military and seal teams do. Now, I can tell you i've never been more wrong. In the book American Sniper the reader gets a first hand account of the battle field and what goes into making someone a Navy Seal through Chris Kyle's personal accounts. Kyle takes the reader through his life beginning with his upbringing in Texas and finishing with his homecoming from war after his fourth deployment. The book is meant to show and encourage other young aspiring people to learn about and possibly pursue a military career, but as Kyle says, “it's not for everyone.” I personally really liked certain aspects of the book, and only disliked a few often repetitive scenes. If you have ever been interested or wondered about what our unsung heros have to go through everyday while you are safe at home than I suggest you give this book a read. I promise you won't be let down.
Are you happy about what you are doing? If you are happy about your task, the task can be easier. By doing something you are passionate about, you feel more fulfilled.
American Sniper is about a man in the Army, who was obviously a sniper. He was one of the best snipers that the Army had ever had. He had saved millions of lives by being a sniper. He even moved up in the ranks of the military because he wanted to be more than someone who was just the best sniper. He ended up being one of the most recognized men that has ever been in the Army. His funeral procession was the biggest one that I have ever seen. It was amazing seeing all of those people lined up along the roads and on the bridges to see him off. The difference between the two main characters of each movie is that one was a sniper, and one was part of a bomb squad. A bomb squad is people in the military who search for bombs and detach the wires that set them off. They have to wear special suits and everything and risk killing themselves every day. They had two totally different jobs, but both jobs were equally gut wrenching and terrifying. This movie mad tons of money when it first came out. This movie deserved the money that it raised. When rating this film I would have to give it a four out of five stars because some of the scenes drag out, but this movie is a well liked movie and deserves to
It seemed like just another ordinary day when my coworker and I were reminiscing over good war films. We discussed about modern warfare films like Lone Survivor and America Sniper which both were great films and based on true stories. We both agreed to the same conclusion. That Saving Private Ryan was both of our favorite war film due to the realistic graphical scenes such as the rush up Omaha’s beach front in the first twenty minutes of the film. Neither of us had ever seen anything come close. Other scenes we rambled about was the Medic getting shot and the chaotic bridge battle that almost leads to Ryan’s demise.
