The way the author uses the book to help the reader to feel included in Eleanor's life, makes the reader feel as if he knows Mrs. Roosevelt.

“I don’t ever remember thinking that I was an exceptional student, segregation was just always in my way”, Condoleezza once said looking back on her difficult childhood. Segregation played a huge part in Condoleezza Rice’s life. Whether it took place during the times of her childhood or even while she held her position as Secretary of State. A leader is someone who timelessly practice guiding others in pursuit of a goal, or desired outcome. At the most fundamental level, a leader is someone who motivates, inspires and guides others toward pre-established goals. One of the most prominent leaders and inspirational person is Michelle Lavaughn Robinson Obama, former First Lady and married to Barack Obama, the former 44th President of the United States. During her time as an attorney and First Lady, Mrs. Obama has been an advocate for women’s rights, poverty awareness, a mentor, a supporter of military families, healthy eating and has been a fervent opponent of inequality (Slevin,2015). Michelle Obama is a noteworthy because she possesses leadership characteristics that inspire, motivate and made changes to the way American citizens live and see life; she became a beacon of hope.

Although she married and raised men that become such significant figures during their time, her herself was played an important role in the American society. The events that happened in her life, starting from childhood and ending in her adult years, led her to be a Revolutionary woman. Three main reasons behind her becoming such a strong, independent woman was the fact that she married a man who had an important role in politics, growing up with no education, and raising a family basically by herself.

Martha Washington was an amazing woman. She grew up in a slightly better than average lifestyle. Then she became a wife, mother, and then a widow. Martha also became one of the richest women in Virginia. Then she became George Washington’s wife and went on to become the first first lady. She lived to the age of seventy and managed to outlive her husband and many others. Martha Washington also was a part of the American Revolution and helped her husband throughout the war. She did all this and much more.

This is a quote from Abigail Adams, one of the most important first ladies of all times. She was not only the first lady to live in the White House but she was also the mother of a president, her son John Quincy Adams. She has contributed much influence on the country and is utterly distinct from other first ladies. Although she was not a complete feminist she did believe in women’s education, which was not common at the time, and she also believed in protecting women’s rights.

Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton is such an important founding mother because she created the first private orphanage in New York, she lived to be ninety-seven, and she was a romotel to many women. Founding mothers had a large role in the revolutionary role. Many of the founding mothers were business women, however, several of them only began their service to our nation after their husbands had past. Elizabeth was one of the founding mothers. She changed over 200 kids and families lives.

Eleanor Roosevelt paved the way for all presidents' wives to come by being active in politics during and after her husband's presidency. Of course, she did not have instant success; she had many trials which helped her become an important and influential role model. Eleanor Roosevelt's dedication to her husband, her activeness in politics, and her volunteer work enabled her to change the role of the First Lady.

Martha Jefferson is the wife of one of the most important president, in my opinion, Thomas Jefferson. It 's who she is and what she has done that makes her so important, and not just being showed as the wife of Thomas Jefferson. She was also Thomas Jefferson’s first and only wife. She gave birth to seven children, six that are which Thomas Jefferson’s children too. Martha Jefferson also came from a rich white family who owned slaves, but was only with her birth mother for about two weeks, according to The National First Ladies’ Library. Martha Jefferson is such an exponential character, that I am so happy to write a paper about her.
